Sushi Des Artistes (South Kensington)

• Sushi des Artistes was conveniently located right next door to the bar so I booked us a table there
• The folk at Sushi des Artistes are clearly trying to evoke a sexy and romantic atmosphere
• Again we decided this was fun and unconventional rather than tacky and it didn't matter anyway because they tasted great
• Deep fried prawns with chilli mayo
• I personally don't think you can go wrong with a good deep fried prawn and SDA certainly didn't
• The tempura batter was light and crispy as it should be
• Next deep fried ebi shrimp in crispy noodles with a dashi sauce
• These were even better with a gorgeous crunch
• The prawns came with two little pieces of pork belly
• Wagyu Beef with truffle was melt in the mouth perfect
• I chose the strangely named 'My Buddy' Black Cod with sweet Miso
• Our main courses were served with chips rather than rice
• Our waiter had been very friendly and jovial with us and at the end gave us a little free bonus dessert
• It may be a little tacky and kind of retro but it's most definitely a fun place to go with lovely food
• Galante offers cocktails from the 1930s and 40s alongside more creative drinks with an Argentine heritage
• The bar design is slick and art deco
• Definitely a contrast with the weirdo decor of Sushi des Artistes
• This is one of the best Sushi places in London according to me
• Located in solane square Sushi Des Artistes (South Kensington) has a great ambience with a warm staff who make you feel welcomed from the minute you walk in
• What is unique about Sushi Des Artistes (South Kensington) is the style of food and their plating
• I have tried the 6 course tasting menu which was absolutely delicious
• I would also recommend the grilled foie gras with lemon butter soy and Wagyu sashimi style with black truffle
• The The food is not just fresh and tasty but the way the plating is done it makes your food look like art
• Sushi des Artistes combines gorgeous Japanese food with French decor
• The flavours were light and fresh
• The presentation is really the thing you come for the colours and decoration create a delicious feast for the eyes
• The food and the decor are really good and original and it's pretty weird that the place is not always fully booked
