Barts is a fun little speakeasy that I was introduced to years ago
-
Occasionally in our pyjamas with macs over the top
-
The entrance is definitely fun
-
Totally inconspicuous you open a door to what appears to be a small Micky Mouse wallpapered closet with a neon sign buzzing above yet another door
-
Barts (South Kensington) can be great fun if you are in the mood
-
It is tiny though so if you're not in the mood there is no corner to hide away in
-
The cocktails are small and damn expensive but then that is hardly unusual now
-
A hard to find location and an unassuming door with a bell (entry must be granted)
-
Followed by a tiny entrance entirely decorated with fun Mickey Mouse wallpaper
-
Dark and glam speakeasy bar with an extensive wine and prohibition cocktail list and costume filled trunks to inspire dress up
-
A very strange location as the bar and location are a complete contrast
-
The wall is filled with interesting photos adding to the quirkiness of the place
-
The small entrance to this establishment is covered in Mickey Mouse wallpaper
-
Then the bar staff use a quirky hatchet opening in the door to see who it is before opening
-
This cozy bar has an outdoor space and is full of quirky artifacts
-
The cocktail menu is hidden within a book
-
Cocktails are very imaginative and the best I have had in London
-
Each cocktail comes with a surprise
-
Barts (South Kensington) is definitely my favorite hidden gem
-
A bar in the heart of South Kensington with a very private and eccentric atmosphere given by the small door at the entrance
-
Because the place is small and cozy
-
When going for the first time it is a little hard to find as there are no ads placed anywhere about it
-
You have to enter the Chelsea Cloisters and play around with looking for the bar
-
All of the drinks are absolutely delicious
-
London is loaded with dozens but locating some of them can be a strenuous task at hand (for the not so obvious reasons)
-
After being told it was located at the Chelsea Cloisters Hotel
-
To be honest is the beauty of place like this no one knows about it
-
So once you finally manage to find the ' secret door' you are directly hit with another 'door' with its on bell
-
Without warning some peering eyes will glance at you as if this is the standard thing to do and then you maybe asked all sorts of questions
-
He tells me that working here is never a dull moment
-
I probably did forgot to mention but the cocktails here are unbelievable
-
The bar tenders know their stuff and even if there is something not on the menu that you like (almost impossible BTW)
-
Im pretty sure they would be able to cater for whatever it is that you desire
-
The nights tasting were all about cyder or cider
-
Bought to the table on a long wooden board was the Cy der Cucumber cocktail
-
Filled in a fancy champagne glass with ingredients such as vodka
-
Such a desirable fruity taste was accompanied by an array of lettuce
-
So next time you go out complaining that you are feeling hungry then perhaps it would be a great idea to order one of these showstoppers
-
The next cocktail came out which is named as the Classic Countryside Crunch
-
Now this one was a gem of creation
-
Apple and Fennel which was served alongside a dipping jar with celery sticks and a capsicum rainbow salad
-
Such a genius way of incorporating a snack (healthy might I add) with an equally delightful drink to wash it down with
-
Mightily impressed with the hospitality
-
The bar tenders are one of the best and most talented
-
It's a local haunt and I best enjoy it at the end of a evening
-
The cocktails are fantastic and the staff are super friendly
-
One of the best hidden gems in London
