  • Once you have been here you may better be able to understand why institutions like these are still surviving in this global onslaught of austerity

  • Therefore we were seated in their private dinning area and served off one of their set menu

  • The only complaint was that the portions were small

  • The wine menu is comprehensive

  • Everything is just perfect even the food that comes out of the kitchen is to die

  • Looking around I could only see people enjoying their meals with happy faces

  • The only criticism can be that portions are small as someone else stated before

  • The surroundings are very posh and fancy

  • The experience was very enjoyable on the whole/

  • The decor was quite good but it is the food that you go for and I must say it was pretty disappointing

  • I would definitely go there again just to make sure that it was a one off experience but if you are looking for some delicious Italian food

  • Then there are places other than this one that you must definitely try

  • It is one of the best Italian restaurant that you will ever come across

  • Their menu offers an extensive selection of choices and one of their USP is their special menu which is cheese based

  • The food was just average and the presentation was so ordinary

  • The place was expensive for whatwe got and the staff was also not that attentive and helpful

  • This time I had octopus which in fact was quite brilliant

  • All the mains were delicious whether it be beef tagliata

  • Both the food and service are really wonderful

  • I visited L'Anima (Shoreditch) for a meal during lunch and it was quite good

  • The main that was suggested to us was done really well

  • While the food was good I was unimpressed by the interiors of L'Anima (Shoreditch)

  • Even the service was bad and did not leave me satisfied

  • The food happened to be amazing and they certainly served the best ham and burrata ever

  • The service is good only if you are going to eat their head or keep pushing them

  • The bar is located at an odd location which can be seens as a drawback but it is a great place if you are in the mood for some Italian food

  • Make bookings before hand and try as many dishes as possible each one is a unique must try

  • I would definitely suggest the spaghetti with fresh lobster

  • I am really in love with L'Anima (Shoreditch)

  • I had pasta and lam both of which were very well prepared and presented

  • The food was an absolute delight and I must say that the appetisers were mouth watering

  • The food was amazing here but the thing where L'Anima (Shoreditch) lacks is that the service that these guys provide you is not that amazing

  • The servers do not understand English pretty well so there is a fine boundary between us and them

  • The decor of L'Anima (Shoreditch) is nice and if you guys are looking for a good time you must give L'Anima (Shoreditch) a visit

  • Their hospitality was brilliant and rarely have I witnessed such brilliance in this city

  • The scallop starter I ordered was aromatic and perfect in taste

  • The dessert was absolutely lovely

  • The coffee was the best touch to a perfect meal

  • The prices are not very competitive

  • L'Anima (Shoreditch) is a sophisticated and expensive option

  • The other reviewers are right about having paid through ones nose

  • L'Anima (Shoreditch) attracts a gentry which is corporate in nature mostly the city workers

  • It proves to be a good option if you are planning a casual night out with your clients

  • Every dish that I have tried here was extremely delicious

  • The atmosphere is also good and has a good vibe to it

  • The service is prompt and the staff is friendly

  • The servers were friendly and helpful

  • The starters were exquisite and the main course was even better

  • Especially the Octopus which was cooked to perfection with wonderful flavours to it

  • The pork that my partner ordered was also brilliant with the right crackle and spice

  • The theme of the restaurant is Southern Italian and they offer a variety of seating options

  • I ordered a Pappardelli which was stunning and tasted magnificent

  • They offered some of the best wines from around the world and most of them were pretty expensive

  • L'Anima (Shoreditch) serves some of the best authentic Italian dishes around London

  • We were greeted by a very friendly hostess and there was live music to accompany the oh so fancy surroundings

  • If you need to impress clients with some good authentic Italian cuisine

  • Ideally I would have stayed for a couple more courses but was still pressured for time

  • The pizza was perfectly cooked with the finest quality ingredients

  • I opted for something with a slight Calabrian nduja kick

  • L'Anima is all class from the moment you walk through the gigantic single pane glass door and step into a bar and dining area which is thoughtfully minimalistic and sleek

  • Honest dishes as the soul of Southern Italian cuisine is transported to East London

  • The fritto misto was as plentiful as the ocean and ranks as one of the best I've ever had

  • Pappardelle with duck ragu and pistachio was a perfect al dente and so rich it left me scrambling back for more

  • It is their signature Scotch beef tagliata with marrow bones

  • Accompanied by side dishes which on their own is worth of being on the menu

  • Finishing with a white chocolate semifreddo with topical sorbet

  • I reflect on a meal which was an absolute triumph and worthy of consideration should you have a special occasion

  • The meal is by no means cheap but the quality is well worth it

  • T until only recently that I discovered how important slow food or slow dining is and how it represents something very unique

  • Anima in the City to experience an exclusive slow supper paired with fabulous Menebrea Italian beer &ndash

  • Coz I'm geeky like that it was the first service

  • We had VIP treatment and the food was incredible
