Zelman Meats - Soho (Soho)

• The new restaurant is called Zelman Meats and is from the same people who brought us Rex and Mariano
• Instead of a fish based menu however we are treated to a continuation of excellence in the form of beef &ndash
• Meat however is another ball game and thus we have Zelman Meats
• Zelman Meat is perhaps the best value for money steak joint in London right now
• Zelman Meats is the latest opening from Moscow based restaurant group Goodman
• Owns steakhouses all over London (and is where I recently took Michael for his birthday)
• The good news is that they apparently plan to reopen in a different location
• St Anne's Court is now for the carnivores
• The Picanha was particularly good and service was friendly
• Strangely quiet during lunchtime which was actually rather pleasant
• Zelman Meats is in the heart of Soho
• Previously belonged to Rex and Mariano (which is still evident on some of the branding of dishes) is the perfect spot to fuel up after hitting the shops along Oxford Street
• The Sunday roast offering at Zelman Meats is simple &ndash
• It has been a while since I reviewed a meat heavy eatery so I thought it was about time to pay the butcher a visit
• (maybe they are vegetarian)
• Then Zelman was born although like most shipwrecks (except the Titanic) bits of floating wreckage surfaces
• We were served with bottles still boldly embossed Rex &
• London is a fickle mistress and seafood is just not what the lady wants right now
• We all know the best steakhouses in London are Goodman and Rex and Mariano
• Zelman Meats has finally opened and it is their new steakhouse after Rex and Mariano was recently closed
• Who are set on taking over the Soho meat game with their protein packed menu of quality and affordable steaks
• So much so that it's built into their mission statement and is at the very core of their ethos
• To showcase the steaks at their very best is the name of the game and Zelman are nailing it
• You could cut through it with a butter knife
• Short rib roll or chateaubriand steak baguette which are out of this world

• My friends ran a club night called The Meat Raffle at Catch and the fact that Zelman apparently offered meat raffles (and chateaubriand by the 100g) was more than enough to turn me on and pull me in

• The drinks were awful and that evening was only saved by a flashmob doing Gangnam Style
• Don't expect to be swamped with some amazing food it is just quick and good meat dishes
• The ribs had abit of fat so if your a fan of lean meat then order the fillet ofcourse and the burrata was not bad simple and nice
• The only catch is you have to order a minimum of 200g so we chose 200g of each with a side of triple cooked chips and some sauces at only £

• Starters and sides are simple yet tasty and fresh
• A fun and versatile place that is good for lunch/dinner that will please any meat eater without feeling like you've been fleeced
• The design of the restaurant is good too industrial but cosy at the same time
• The side of broccoli was awesome too
