  • Sushi concept was first conceived in Denmark

  • Inside the decor was cool and calm &ndash

  • The food menu was the best part about Sticks 'n' Sushi (Covent Garden)

  • Japanese food can be daunting sometimes as there is so much variety

  • We started off our meal with some warm edamame beans topped with some rich and spicy miso sauce

  • Our second course quickly arrived which was a stunning salmon carpaccio topped with daikon (white radish)

  • I think it was the balance off all the ingredients and freshness of the salmon which took me by surprise

  • The shrimp was large and succulent

  • The tempura batter was light and delicate

  • We were seated and shown the menu which is a work of art

  • It makes it so easy to order and the staff are extremely patient while taking you through the menu

  • I found the food reasonably priced for a sushi place but did think the cocktails were overpriced

  • The Cafe Royal hotel has a long history as one of the most fashionable hotels in London and with its prime position on Regent Street it is also an iconic landmark

  • Sticks 'n Sushi is one of the most successful restaurant groups in Denmark and they've very kindly bought their concept over here for us to enjoy

  • The concept of Sticks 'n Sushi is based on serving a combination traditional sushi with yakitori sticks from the grill

  • The interior of the restaurant has a very cool and urban vibe with an upstairs restaurant and downstairs dining counter

  • I chose a glass of champagne and Mr Silver was on the beer

  • Ebi prawns are one of the signature dishes at Sticks 'n Sushi so we had to have those

  • There was a lot here but it was all butterfly light and mouth wateringly fresh

  • We chose salmon teriyaki which flaked beautifully and the sauce was light and not overwhelming

  • These were bought over by accident but fortunately are one of Mr Silver's favourites so he still devoured them

  • Chicken teriyaki stick and a lamp chop topped with herb butter

  • White chocolate with sweet miso and popped rice

  • Chocolate fondant with caramel and hazelnut brittle and vanilla ice cream

  • The first one was my favourite

  • Not only is the food fabulous but the concept is fun and would be the perfect choice for a date but is even better for group dining

  • Although we were seen to by several different waiting staff

  • The meal style is lots of little dishes which can be shared depending on whether you're a food hoarder or not

  • I escaped rather unscathed with a round tummy &

  • This is The best sushi restaurant Tried in London

  • I tumbled into Sticks 'n' Sushi with a protesting stomach and high hopes

  • This fantastic spot is quickly becoming the talk of the town

  • Forwards and backwards with tables of all shapes and sizes nestled between a good old bit of brickwork and wooden panelling

  • Back at our table we were presented with the menus

  • I am a little distressed to admit this since I have always been pretty confident it was a pleasure was reserved solely for dads

  • Overwhelming is a serious understatement and our jaws dropped at the sheer enormity of choice

  • Next to be placed infront of the two droolers was the sushi platter

  • Downstairs was were the magic began

  • Somehow it was only when it arrived that I realised I'd been a little blinded by the 'chocolate' element and neglected to appreciate what it was I had actually ordered

  • The Nordic influence is obvious as soon as you set foot in the Covent Garden venue

  • The drinks are delicious and the desserts are pretty impressive too &ndash

  • Each of them were incredible in their own way

  • The menu is really fun and entertaining because is made by pictures of the food and combinations between them

  • The quality of the meat the fish is really good

  • The Yakinuku Steak is a must have

  • With a son that loves sushi this had to be a place to try and we were not disappointed

  • The sushi were varied with different tastes and textures

  • I had thought it was going to be a very expensive meal but although it was not cheap I do feel it was good value for money as the fish was very fresh and the sushi the best

  • I've tried a lot of restaurants but Im ok to say this is the only place that I always finish my meal praying I had a second tummy

  • The tastes are exquisite and so is the decor

  • Cocktails are unique and the overall feel is a need to go back

  • Sticks 'n' Sushi was a fantastic choice for a mid week dinner

  • A lively and modern atmosphere meant there was a mixture of couples

  • I would definitely recommend the chicken meatballs with teriyaki sauce a fusion of the iconic Swedish dish and a delicious and sweet Japanese glaze

  • Crispy ebi roll was our main order in fact we even had to get a second round

  • A recommended restaurant with delicious food

  • The quality and flavour of these rolls were unparalleled

  • I felt they lacked the full flavours that were in the sushi

  • Sushi is a brilliant sushi restaurant with tasty sushi and great value for money

  • I have been visited with some friends on a Monday night and managed to get a table upstairs which is really nice

  • We really enjoyed eating as the food is absolutely outstanding

  • The quality of the food was exactly what you would expect

  • This restaurant is super awesome

  • This restaurant is a real small discovery that deserves to be known

  • We ordered several with different flavors which was quite nice

  • The decoration of the place is very modern and the restaurant is very clean

  • I have been a fan of Sticks 'n' Sushi ever since eating in their Wimbledon restaurant with Charlotte Hu back in March 2012

  • I went back another time with my husband

  • Unfortunately Wimbledon is too much out of our way to become a regular dinner destination

  • The space itself is impressive

  • The Victorian front creates a nice contrast with the sleek and modern interior

  • The attention to detail at Sticks 'n' Sushi is paramount and it doesn't only apply to the food preparation and presentation of the dishes

  • Restaurant menus with photos are never easy to pull off and often associated with cheap eats

  • The dishes can be ordered from the A La Carte (the best option if you know exactly what you want) or from the Set Menus (recommended if you are in a group and want to try different and new things)

  • As the menu is extensive and everything looks amazing

  • So let's just say I arrived at the restaurant with a good appetite and keen to treating myself with delicious drinks and food

  • So we started with a Wild Berry Club (gin

  • Fresh lime) which are everyone's favourite

  • The special Soya Shake Bites (smoked salmon rolls on avocado mousse) which were recommended by our lovely waitress

  • I have tried quite a few rolls at Sticks 'n' Sushi in Wimbledon and one of my favourites are the Hell's Kitchen rolls (shrimp tempura and avocado inside out rolls)

  • Chicken breast (topped with chilli dip

  • The yakitori were served after the sushi to ensure we ate the meat still warm

  • We also ordered a scoop of Peanut Ice cream with sesame nougatine

  • Dining at Sticks 'n' Sushi is not cheap (as you would expect from any nice sushi place) and our bill came up to £

  • So unless you are used to spending all your money on eating out (like me)

  • With their new central location it is the perfect place for a party or a date

  • The concept is rather interesting with customers being able to chose between a variety of sushi options and a range of "

  • The sticks are a little disappointing

  • I thought it was absolutely fantastic

  • The black cod was incredible

  • The tempura prawn bites were Devine and all the sushi rolls were just amazing

  • The one thing that calls for recognition and thus appreciation is the menu of the restaurant

  • The menu is elaborate in the specification of the dishes with pictures and descriptions

  • The restaurant aims at a Danish audience who are yet unfamiliar with sushi and yakitori

  • I ordered quite a few items off the menu and the only amazing and above average dish was the duck liver in teriyaki sauce

  • The texture was just what it required and the sauce had the most amazing flavours

  • The other items were not so delightful but only average

  • The first thing i noticed when i entered the place is that this restaurant is extremely huge and spacious and has an urban feel in its interiors

  • I reached early but was grateful for the extra time which allowed me to have a detailed look in that huge menu and decide for myself what i want to order

  • The service is slow and thus it takes a lot of time for the order to reach the table

  • The dishes were appealing and appetizing

  • I do not understand why everyone is so crazy about Sticks 'n' Sushi (Covent Garden)

  • Were only above average with some really strange flavours

  • The dessert was average as well

  • The other dishes were also hardly edible

  • The prices are ludicrous and the food is not worth it

  • The cocktails were good though

  • By far one of the best places that serve delectable Sushi

  • The decor is exquisite and the ambiance is very inviting and energetic

  • The pricing is reasonable much and the food is excellent value for money

  • The server was a delighted to help us

  • Everything was just so fresh and perfectly flavoured

  • The dishes that we ordered were just perfect for sharing with my colleagues

  • Especially the sushi which was cooked to perfection

  • The service was pretty efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly

  • The ambience was wonderful with beautiful decor and pretty comfortable seating arrangement

  • This could have been a total nightmare (and it was for a bit as there's so much choice to work through) but we were captivated by some of the most beautiful food photography we've seen

  • Dipping into the soy that was attentively topped up by the waitresses

  • Before being presented with the sticks which we'd totally forgotten about at the time but I can't stop thinking about now

  • Washed down with a bottle of Kirin Ichiban (a Japanese lager) each

  • We tore ourselves away from the hugely tempting desserts with a chocolate Old Fashioned

  • Agreed that Sticks'n'Sushi had shot straight to the top of our list and was worth a return visit as soon as we could make it back

  • Sticks n Sushi is never a bad idea

  • The crowd here is always a mix of students and professionals

  • The decor of this pace is modern and stylish with great use of wood and lighting

  • The staff here is very friendly and guides you through a bit long and confusing menu

  • Like the name suggests there are two main things served here STICKS AND SUSHI

  • From the sticks my recommendation is the chicken meatballs in teriyaki sauce

  • Lamb chops with miso herb butter and the goat cheese with dried ham

  • The EBI BYTES are my absolute favourite here

  • Like I have mentioned before I love prawn and these ebi bytes here are absolutely yummy

  • There are various sushi platters here which have a variety of sushis and they are quite yummy

  • The black cod sushi is quite tasty and literally melts in your mouth

  • The desserts here are quite nice as well

  • A special mention to the staff who is really sweet and did not charge us for some confusion with a dish

  • The waiter was friendly enough at introduce himself and menus at beginning

  • Also the first arrival dishes were tasty and in a reasonable timing

  • So I checked with the same waiter again and he has confirmed that it's coming with no apologies

  • Then 20 minutes later and checked with him again still no apologies

  • The waiter has no intention to explain to us why is the wait for so long

  • You can always tell how beautiful a restaurant's presentation is by how many photos of their food have been uploaded on Zomato

  • Although the intimate setting is great for a date

  • My sister Lucy spent the winter months waitressing there and it's bang in the middle of Covent Garden so I was constantly passing the door

  • Sticks'n'Sushi is one of the most successful restaurant groups in Denmark

  • It's such an impressive company with a fantastic mantra

  • So don't take it lightly when I say the offerings at Sticks'n'Sushi are among the best I've tasted in the capital

  • What's more the menu is well compiled so that whatever your preferences may be nigiri

  • Maki there are combination plates to suit your needs

  • How the rice is prepared etc etc

  • Hotate kataifi (scallops with miso aioli) and the edamame tossed in soy

  • The mini maki de luxe set menu is a great one to go for here

  • The fact that half their menu is dedicated to 'sticks' makes it the perfect place for a date

  • What do you get when you mix Scandinavian style with Asian cuisine

  • This is why I am a slightly in love with Sticks 'n' Sushi

  • We started with a quartet of fresh juices I think my equally snap happy sister and I inadvertently persuaded everyone to get a different juice for the inevitable photo opp

  • We managed to try quite a few different dishes and options from the (stunningly designed) menu here is the rundown of what we ordered

  • The Sticks part (the meat) is quite authentic

  • The rice paper rolls are lovely so light yet so tasty

  • Everything was so good it's hard to pick out a highlight

  • Marcel chocolate cake with crystallised white chocolate

  • White chocolate with sweet miso &

  • Although they were all utterly delightful

  • My favourite was probably the black sesame ice cream

  • It did not disappoint it was completely packed on a weekday evening

  • The food is good without being stupendous my favourites are the chicken bites and the isnide out rolls

  • This restaurant in Covent Garden is spacious and urban with its exposed brick walls

  • I arrived early but was grateful for the extra time which allowed me to delve into (all four

  • Sticks n Sushi is a classic case of &ldquo

  • The place is adorable and the online menu is creative and cute and makes you very hungry

  • Sticks n Sushi is not a place to go to for everyday sushi

  • The menu is a bit overwhelming but the staff are helpful with what to order

  • The sticks were disappointingly dry and not particularly tasty the one time I ordered them so I've not ordered them again

  • The staff is very friendly and their uniforms and menu is very creative

  • Stick n Sushi is a sushi and yakitori bar with a Nordic touch

  • Their list of cocktails was Japanese influenced lots of shochu and sake

  • We chose the Table for 2 option in the end it was a good balance of sushi and errr sticks of meat

  • The side of Ebi bites we ordered were crispy and I could taste the juicy prawns inside

  • The chicken breast with chilli dip had a nice

  • Creamy kick and the chicken tsukune was totally moreish the sauce it was covered in needed to be licked off the plate

  • The sea salt and lemon drizzled edamame beans was a nice end to the meat fest

  • Chocolate fondant with hazelnut and caramel brittle

  • Green tea ice cream with dark chocolate

  • The creme brulee was my champion

  • The popped rice with the white chocolate had a weird texture and the green tea ice cream was a little too strong

  • S subtlety but this was green tea on steroids

  • I'd heard good things so was excited to try it out

  • Upon arrival I was led to my seat and the waiter went through the menu adding some suggestions along the way

  • Absolutely delicious and with that I decided to take a few more of his suggestions

  • The scallops were the first to arrive and honestly if I hadn't ordered everything beforehand I eouldve probably continued ordering the scallops

  • I ordered the making 24 which is a set menu as well as the black cod roll (as recommended by our waiter) just wow

  • The black cod was indeed my favourite blended with a hint of fre cheese

  • Desert a different waitress stopped by my table for a quick light chat in order to help with recommending an ice cream and again the result was spectacular

  • The sesame ice cream is a must for anyone

  • 125 which was well worth it

  • After I saw the menu I thought that it is a version of sushi samba

  • After I had my plates I realise that this restaurant is new nobu for me

  • Tataki and sashimi was very high quality

  • By the way it was the only sushi restaurant that have rolls without rice

  • Overall it was a good experience and I will book my reservation after I got my flight ticket to london next time

  • It was for dinner and I was with 2 dining companions

  • 30pm on a mid week evening and the place was already filling up quickly

  • Word has definitely gotten out that this is one of the top restaurants in Covent Garden

  • So reservations are recommended

  • They serve some of the best sushi around and whilst it can be relatively expensive to eat there

  • She was American and recommended us great dishes which were all amazing

  • One of the best Japanese cuisine experience we have had in London for ages

  • Generous portion with excellent sushi and British style yakitori (pieces of grilled meat on bamboo stick)

  • 40 per person which is worth the price

  • Restaurant is as such super popular

  • Protein packed and loaded with more veggies and superfoods than you can shake a stick at (no pun intended)

  • I would say the sushi dish is more enjoyable

  • One unfortunate thing is that the black sesame ice cream was out of stock

  • The decor throughout is very minimalist

  • Sticks 'n' Sushi is a fun dinner option

  • The cocktails and sake selection are good and the menu offers a lot of choice

  • Restaurant ambience is nice albeit it can get really busy and noisy

  • S arrival was a wise move considering the couple ahead of us is told that the wait is at least half an hour

  • S evident that tiny exterior is quite deceptive

  • The area inside is vast and swarming with London&rsquo

  • It was delicious and the concept is really interesting

  • The fried scallop starter and the wagyu on a stick as well as the crispy duck were my favorite

  • The atmosphere in the restaurant was really cosy and warm

  • The lights were dimly lit which is not photo friendly and as soon as you walked in there was hint of sushi in the air

  • Pretty expensive though and adds up quickly because the portions are small so you end up ordering many different things which ends up being expensive

  • Would recommend getting the box with a selection of all their desserts to share

  • The first impression is of a modern environment

  • I was greeted by a friendly staff that was happy to show me to my seat and advise menu items based on my preferences

  • They were always prompt with their service and everyone was very personable

  • The ebi bites were brilliantly mouth watering

  • Featuring shrimp with several spices to bring out their flavor

  • The ebi bites were a an excellent start an excellent meal

  • The entire night was full of great service

  • Sticks 'n' Sushi (Covent Garden) has a really great sushi concept the menus are innovative and the food is delicious I really recommend the dragon roll and it's the best miso soup I've ever had

  • I think the quality of the sushi is higher than the quality of the sticks but all in all this restaurant has it all

  • Book in advance as being seated upstairs is a much nicer experience

  • One of the best sushi places I have ever been too wow

  • The location is perfect and the place itself is exquisitely designed in a modern/futuristic way that compliments the food

  • Our waitress was attentive and quick with taking orders

  • The menu itself is super charming with its quaint starters and mesmerizing sushi and main options

  • I guarantee that they were very satisfying

  • Restaurant's atmosphere was welcoming and nice

  • The restaurant is quite big and the mood is very good

  • Great place with amazing sushi and very nice music

  • Perhaps we caught the lull between shifts but that was soon remedied

  • Staff members are so polite and too good in service

  • The ambience is refined and staff is lovely

  • Some veggie options and the sake is also great
