Sitar (Strand)

• On being served with bland British dishes in the official lunches and dinners for five days
• I had missed my fish 'big time' and straight went for Bengali fish curry along with a plate of plain rice
• I went to Sitar (Strand) with a group of friends and they recommended that the food was simple and tasty
• It seemed small but it was well sized
• We had to wait for a table as we were 7 of us and had not booked prior to coming
• The manager was really understanding and when we requested him to serve food that was without onion and garlic for one of our friends
• The food was overall good and was served well in intervals
• A nice place to come if you are looking to try something new
• The dishes are also quite filling and the waiters are very courteous and kind to the customer
• The food was decent at this restaurant BEWARE as although our order was supposed to be nut free
• Our 9 year old suffered an anaphylactic response to the pistachios that were present in one of the dishes
• A medical emergency anywhere is scary but when you are on vacation in a foreign country
