  • The atmosphere left something to be desired with a far more low energy vibe than its bustling big sister Bombay restaurant

  • The quail was lightly fried with hearty green beans and tomatoes with lots of pepper and curry leaves

  • The bite size morsels of quail were tender on the inside and deliciously crispy

  • The chaat was made with mix of chickpeas

  • Yogurt and sweet tamarind sauce with crunchy sev sprinkled on top

  • We then proceeded to order the grilled marinated Lamb Chops which were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

  • The Haryali Bream was a bit of a let down though

  • We also had some Hyderabadi Daal and stir fried Okra with a selection of Naan breads all of which went down very well

  • Offers real value for money its was delicious and resonable

  • The service was of a very high standard with staff happy to substitute dishes from the vegetarian tasting menu if required

  • Finally out of the rain we take a seat in this calm restaurant with pale grey walls and exposed brick work

  • The suitably authentic music was also very relaxing

  • Trishna London is the sister restaurant to Trishna in Mumbai which has fantastic reviews

  • We decided on the set menu with matching wine flight

  • Two neatly folded poppadoms shortly arrived at the table with some mango sauce and tomato chutney

  • Both of which were delicately spiced and rich in flavour

  • The first courses that were to come out far exceeded my expectations

  • It's pretty rare that the food is authentically Indian and of a good enough quality to make you want to come back again and again

  • The food preparations taste and feel truly authentic albeit it with some continental influences

  • Everything is of the highest quality and excellently presented

  • The prices are in line with what you would expect at any high end restaurant in the marylebone area but its worth every pound

  • I only tried a couple of the cocktails which complemented the food very well and were of the same quality

  • The Michelin guide is a safe place to consult when looking for somewhere to eat out

  • Could have done with a little more acidity or even a dollop of cooling yoghurt

  • Whilst there were satisfied noises coming from around the table

  • The slight saving grace was the sommelier&rsquo

  • Trishna delivers anything on a par with that served in Dabbous

  • Nice place with a really good food

  • Any fleeting worries about blogger ethics were quietly batted aside I don't care if you think I'm irreversibly compromising my integrity

  • All the usual caveats apply to a press invite meal the service was probably a bit more attentive

  • We had the best table in the house

  • There was one studded with dried shrimp

  • The bright green coriander and chilli was just extraordinary

  • What's the best thing to do on a Sunday

  • This was a curry with a difference

  • The restaurant has recently been refurbished and features an informal dining room with blue brick walls

  • There were three different flavours of the crispy nibbles which were served with a spicy dip and a mango chutney

  • Tandoori lamb chops with chilli and ginger

  • Trishna specialises in seafood so these were bound to be good

  • Hariyali Bream with green chilli

  • The side dish of tomato was the perfect woody tasting accompaniment

  • Salmon tikka with a dill raita

  • Lightly cooked salmon with a beautiful tikka marinade

  • The middle one was slightly sweet which I'm not keen on in a bread

  • The neighbourhood of Marylebone is gorgeous too and there are plenty of foodie finds along the streets

  • The room layout is the same though the lighting has changed

  • Duck chaat was a pleasant starter

  • Fried and spicy squid (chipirones) and samphire had tender squid and was an unusual and enjoyable dish (13/20)

  • 10 for two very small samosas is hardly a bargain (12/20)

  • Better was bream marinated with coriander and green chilli before being cooked in the tandoor

  • While the tomato salad was an effective accompaniment (comfortably 14/20)

  • Though this was not a patch on the best biryani that I have eaten in India (13/20)

  • Tiger prawns with Keralan spices and a coconut based sauce was enjoyable enough

  • The dish of the night for me was a side dish

  • Instead the okra was firm and dry

  • Mango cream and mango chutney (13/20) and chocolate cake with cashews and peanut jiggery ice cream

  • I can say with certainty that Trishna is one of my favourite restaurants in London

  • The thing that really sets Trishna apart from it's Indian rivals is that the meal will never land excessively heavily on your stomach

  • The lightness of the food is complimented by tapas esque portion sizes

  • ) Soft Shell Crab served with white crab chutney (pictured)

  • Grilled and served with cucumber and Indian mustard (pictured)

  • Equally magnificent are the Gilafi Duck sheekh kebab

  • T overwhelmed by was the Moplah Seafood Biriyani

  • That is probably because I generally prefer Biriyani to be concocted with chicken anyway

  • A yoghurt based dish with rubarb (pictured)

  • Perhaps the only real pitfall of Trishna is the price &ndash

  • The restaurant is decked with marble

  • Oak and glass which is manipulated into clean smooth surfaces and edges

  • Instead the candle lit table and grey hues on the wall are more energising than stuffy

  • In this way Trishna is the setting for a casual

  • Chilled out gathering with the back drop of a sociable buzz

  • T lack in atmosphere even with a few diners around

  • Their dishes are unconventional but definitely appetising

  • Trishna serves the best potato chaat I&rsquo

  • T a high end restaurant yet the prices are more on the steep side of things

  • The restaurant specialises in seafood so there are lots of options

  • Ve tasted the food it is evident why

  • The restaurant has a peaceful ambience with whitewashed walls and bronze poles hang vintage Indian prints

  • The furniture is decadent rosewood and the service is fit for a Maharaja

  • We began our meal with yummy mocktails (virgin mojito

  • We ordered the Trishna seafood salad with haldi chipirones

  • Each bite was refined and delectable and the amount of seafood on the plate was very generous

  • The paneer tikka looked like a piece of art but could have done with a tad more seasoning the taste did not really match the appearance

  • The Haryali bream is a favourite of mine

  • The fish melts in your mouth with flavours of chilli and coriander that are complemented by the smoked tomato kachumber (salsa)

  • The starters were excellent and our expectations were high for the main courses

  • The Andhra curry was made of succulent lamb but wasn&rsquo

  • What WAS really special was the Kerala jheenga (prawn) curry

  • The tiger prawns were big and juicy and the sauce was extremely moreish I just couldn&rsquo

  • The aam malai dish was a mango cream slice served with fresh mangoes and a raw mango chutney

  • I also tried the strawberry falooda which is a dish of strawberry ice cream on a bed of vermicelli and fresh strawberries

  • A rather nice surprise at the end of the meal were white chocolates flavoured with Paan an indian betel nut tobacco flavouring which is eaten after meals

  • I think Trishna is priced reasonably

  • The tasting menus are between £

  • 50 70 per person and the lunch bites menu is between £

  • The food at Trishna was excellent as far as Michelin starred Indian restaurants go

  • S a shame that the game is not halal because some of the dishes looked really interesting

  • The lunch menu is particularly good value for money and my mum who is always critical about Indian restaurant food (because she is an amazing cook herself) loved it so I will definitely be going back

  • They had taken the flavours from the Indian cuisine and fused them with European tastes

  • All in all a decent good experience with very good food

  • Just be careful if you are not into spicy food

  • That comes with a really good yogurt sauce to sooth it

  • The tandoori lamb chops are delicious as well as the tandoori baby chicken with lemon

  • Good cocktails and an affordable lunch deal this is a Michelin star restaurant that doesn't rip you off

  • The service is good too attentive but not overbearing

  • The waiters were excellent and it was nice for once not to be informed of the time they want you in and out

  • Our orders were very similar to the Express Lunch menu

  • So it made sense to go with that instead

  • The express lunch menu was just under £

  • It also comes with a glass of wine

  • Everything else was absolutely fine as well but these were significantly fantastic

  • 1/2 a point off for service while staff was friendly and knowledgeable

  • The price is very reasonable even without the offer and both the service and the cooking is a massive step up to your local Indian curry joint

  • That I am not too sure as it is hard to compare Asian to European cuisine

  • The service was impeccable

  • I ordered a total of 6 dishes which are the following

  • I was very pleased with the amount of food that arrived

  • I have to say I was expecting more for a Michelin stared restaurant

  • Very juicy and moist inside infused with a tandoori flavour a very good piece of meat here

  • The paneer was underwhelming but the samosa chaat was light

  • The lamb curry was bland and uninspiring

  • The seafood biryani was cooked well but nothing outstanding

  • I rounded a nice meal off with a well made Kheer with Kufi

  • I was expecting better from the decor and the service was rather average for a one star Michelin

  • Booking was required and we were shown to out table at 1.45pm straight away

  • Each meal was introduced when brought to the table as standard by a restaurant with a Michelin Star

  • The total bill was under £

  • 70 which is very good considering it is a Michelin starred restaurant

  • I think the lunch bites menu was great value and food was filling

  • Our only problem was we went with our eyes bigger than our stomachs so over ordered

  • Standout dishes were definitely the lamb tandoori and the Dorset brown crap

  • I love the concept of seafood and Indian food but our favourite dishes at Trishna were similar to the ones they have at Gymkhana

  • The service was very weak on the night that we were there

  • Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful

  • Maybe they were under staffed or perhaps service was slower because there was a large party of around fifteen people dining there on that evening

  • You know that an Indian restaurant is authentic when there are plenty of Indian families dining there

  • The slight difference with the two restaurants is that Gymkhana focuses more on meat and game

  • Didnt have a reservation but was accomodated for an hour

  • Before there was 2016 critics&rsquo

  • The Sethi family are legends in London

  • Their first love though is Indian food

  • Dare I say not only the restaurant was good but even worth the money

  • You could spend anywhere between 20 100 pounds with the different menu options

  • The portion size are very generous

  • Amazing food with coastal being the USP but at the same time Nariyal Lamb was superb too apart from the fish curry

  • The entire experience was a culinary joy indeed

  • Chef Sajeev Nair is a star &

  • The ambience was good with old photos about india hanging on the walls

  • Starters ordered the veg sheek kebab which was very soft as expected

  • Papad and sabudana chips which were good with the tamarind chutney

  • The drinks ordered the litchi with mint and mix of some more fruits

  • Main course was simple with paneer Chettinad and Hyderabadi yellow dal with garlic naan

  • The paneer Chettinad was one of the best I have had in recent memory

  • Amazing and authentic taste of India we have tried the lamp chops and it was succulent and tasty

  • Ordered biryani and dal along with breads few days back

  • Must say the food is good and service staff is also good

  • S a tiny place with good and courteous staff

  • The staff recommended the potato Bel Puri starter which was delightful

  • We followed up with a paneer dosa and aubergine curry with lemon rice

  • Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful

  • Price great and it is ideally situated for the Apollo
