• No flashy ambiance here The India Club Restaurant - Hotel Strand Continental (Strand) is almost like an old canteen
• The food is authentic I specially love Chicken Bhuna with the chapatis
• The service is good but the food is average
• India Club is situated very close to the Indian Embassy
• It was quite hard to find as there was a tiny board advertising it
• This unassuming spot was found up two lengthy flights of stairs above the Strand Continental Hotel
• South indian food is decent as well

• The food itself I thought was a touch disappointing
• The good thing is that atleast it is genuinely indian food unlike most "
• It would have been nicer to have a few more starters on the menu and also if ordering extra bread was a bit quicker but well for the cost cannot really ask for much more
• The menu is fairly simple and nothing spectacular in taste but they are generous with their portions
• The lamb dishes are best out of the meat curries and combines nicely with the vegetable pilau rice
• There was a lot of us so we were looking for somewhere close to our office that could fit us all
• There is a plaque for the hotel with looks like the kind of place you can rent a room by the hour
• When you eventually get to the top floor the 'restaurant' is a blank canvas of a room
• I mean a square with beige walls and wooden tables and chairs
• The feeling was stronger when we climbed the narrow stairs to reach the dining rooms
• Mango lassi was a disappointment for me though
• Jawaharlal Nehru was one of the founder members of this little canteen style restaurant
• The mains we ordered chapattis(they are quite big and 2 per person is good to fill you up)
• The portions are decent and prices even better
• The service is quite slow
• The bar downstairs is also quite cool o hangout
