  • This is probably the best sushi I ever had in London but the rest of the menu is also really good

  • The cocktails were delicious and the dessert

  • Ve decided to keep with the Japan theme

  • Japan and its cuisine has a special place in my heart so I was delighted when Lalani &

  • Ve paired their teas with Sake No Hana&rsquo

  • Sake No Hana is three minutes walk from my day job

  • When I turned up for lunch and sat down I was amazed at the different world I&rsquo

  • S places like Sake No Hana and some of the other newer establishments in the area that are modernising it without taking away the unique character that is St James/Mayfair

  • I arrived early and was very much enjoying a spot of people watching &ndash

  • California sushi rolls filled with avocado and crab with a delightful crunch around the outside

  • Spicy fresh tuna rolls which just melted in your mouth and roasted truffle duck with crunchy walnuts

  • Ve hit outstanding quality when it comes to sushi and this is up there with the best I&rsquo

  • We were trying to work out which of the two teas that the restaurant had chosen for their menu would go best with which dishes

  • The beauty of Japanese tea is that they are lovely hot (but not too hot) and then cool nicely into something quite refreshing

  • The story behind both teas is that they come from two family owned/run tea gardens

  • Thankfully there was one more course after such wonderful sushi and duck

  • A raspberry chocolate biscuit sphere served with lychee sorbet that I had for dessert

  • With a taste that was beyond exquisite (that may be down to my deep love of lychees

  • We also shared a jasmine honey chocolate dessert with caramelised onion icecream

  • Where they were celebrating the Japanese cherry blossom season but decking out their entire bar with pink cherry blossoms

  • The best thing though about Sake No Hana is that while it is just moments away from the hustle and bustle of Piccadilly

  • Up until 19th May the Japanese restaurant by the internationally acclaimed Hakkasan group are celebrating the arrival of spring and the Japanese cherry blossom season with &lsquo

  • The only problematic factor was that it meant I had to attempt sushi again

  • One of our downfalls is that neither of us particularly enjoy it

  • The dress code was smart casual and no sports attire indoors

  • Already coming up with something devilish

  • Prices here are not cheap (for me anyway)

  • The restaurant's decoration is a mixture of sort of modern and oriental style put together

  • The modernized part starts with the mode of transportation to the dining area with the escalator

  • Leather covered sofas and being introduced to toilets that are only approachable via a double sided lifts (as far as for the customer is concerned)

  • The Oriental side is the chequered arrangement of bamboo canes and Sake no Hana's sushi chefs greeting away in Japanese as they saw us

  • Sake no Hana was already busy at 7pm

  • Clean yourselves with our warm wet towels&rdquo

  • I barely had the chance to answer the first question let alone know what else was being said to me after that

  • The waiter is different from the person taking the order to the person serving and the person bringing the dishes

  • Sake no Hana is one restaurant that is busier than Piccadilly Circus

  • We survived and unanimously agreed that going back the second time was not a good idea at all

  • Yam croquette with miso soup &ndash

  • The yam croquette was a very clever idea dipped in the soup means crispy batter does not matter because by the time it was served

  • The seabass was perfect flaky and smooth

  • I wished I cooked like this Not impressed with the salty concentrated miso paste and the hobayaki leaf

  • Mix tempura with wasabi mayonnaise &ndash

  • The wasabi mayonnaise was nice with the slight hint of tangyness

  • The tempura was very well done crispy

  • The only odd addition was a slice of onion

  • Thickness of the rice on the spicy salmon roll was perfect with one bite into the mouth

  • With a base so hard it sent a piece flying across the table whilst I tried to cut with their expensive cutlery

  • The best thing on the plate is a tiny half of a fresh raspberry

  • This is the right place for you if you are looking for eating very good Japanese

  • The truffle and foie gras duck and the lobster tempura are the top of the menu

  • The best table for a romantic date is the oval table where you will sit next to your him/her and enjoy the food together

  • The restaurant has an escalator to take you upstairs this is very rare in London and slightly strange

  • The mango sushi was phenomenal

  • By far the best on the menu

  • The waiters are very attentive and cater to everyone's needs

  • Sake no Hana is another offering by the infamous Alan Yau

  • Upon hearing of this connection with the legendary restaurateur I was very excited to check the restaurant out

  • After entering and being presented with a rather tacky looking escalator

  • I know that the need for an escalator is part of the building itself

  • The food itself was pretty decent

  • Sake No Hana is an authentic Japanese restaurant

  • Located in Mayfair the restaurant has a good crowd with some fancy decor

  • As soon as you enter their is a bar on the left and you see these really high escalators that take you up to the main dining area

  • The bar is pretty fancy and the cocktails were quite tasty

  • I had the Ni ju san which was a cocktail with some fruit juices and prosecco

  • Our tables were ready and we went up the high escalators

  • The interiors of the main dining area is quite something

  • To start with their Miso soup with mushrooms is a good choice

  • Their spicy edamame is also quite good

  • Their teriyaki glazed lamb cutlets are a good meat dish

  • The desserts here are pretty good

  • I really enjoyed my white chocolate caramelised filo with berries and pannacotta

  • The best part about Sake No Hana (Mayfair) is it is not as expensive as the other mayfair restaurants

  • The large variety of Japanese dishes and especially the Maki rolls are what entice me most about Sake No Hana

  • Sake no Hana is owned by the Hakkasan Group and located in a swanky part of the West End

  • The restaurant itself is situated on the second level and once you make your way up the very narrow escalator you are greeted by the friendly chefs to the left and escorted to your table

  • The white Miso was a lovely way to start off and a first for me to experience it with a yam croquettes

  • The best way to describe it in short would be like having a potato but with crumbly edges and slightly soggy

  • Packed full of goodness with a variety of mushrooms

  • Soft tofu and served with a side of sticky steamed rice and wilted spinach which was equally as delicious

  • When the Salmon sushi rolls were presented on the table (6 in total) I was very pleased of how amazingly soft and fresh they were

  • Our last surprise was the dessert of the evening and I highly anticipated something out of the ordinary

  • Dinner was done and completed within the two hour sitting which is normally a standard thing when dining at these kind of places

  • It was highly unlikely on a Wednesday night to be kicked off the table but worst case there is always a bar downstairs to serve you drinks until your heart is content or should I say intoxicated

  • Over all im impressed with the high standard of service provided

  • My four closest girlfriends have spoilt me for my birthday/Christmas S gave me Cards Against Humanity (this is one that's been on my wishlist

  • The interior is very modern and clean

  • We started with some miso soup

  • Followed by sushi and a simply beautiful dessert that was served with a Happy Birthday

  • Sake No Hana is somewhere that lacks the fusion flair

  • In a good way I still wouldn't say that it was 100% authentic

  • Both dishes were featherlight and tasted absolutely delicious

  • Funnily enough is what the word 'Umai' actually means

  • I often overuse the word but apparently the word 'Umai' is actually used repeatedly during or after a meal

  • Sushi rolls are often my favourite part of a Japanese feast and these were amazing

  • On the plate were spicy tuna maki

  • The portion was very generous too as we had two full plates for the table

  • Still saki was bought out for us to continue the lunch with

  • I'm afraid it was too strong for me and I was happy to stick with the sparkling version

  • I love this restaurant the food was cooked to perfection the service was fantastic the selection of wines was amazing and I had the most delicious plum saki

  • Especially with the glossy escalator that greets diners and glides them along to the first floor where the main dining space is based

  • The interiors have been designed by esteemed Japanese architect Kengo Kuma in his signature style and as a result the main dining area is very attractively decked out

  • Shiny black surfaces are combined with light linear bamboo style beams

  • Each of these tree like structure of cypress wood is designed to represent a futuristic forest

  • As diners reach this space the appetite is wetted as they walk past the sushi chefs preparing the freshly made dishes

  • The tables here are composed of booths and large tables across a curved room

  • The meal started with a choice of white or red miso soup with yam croquette

  • My main course I ordered the Tori sukiyaki toban which was chicken sukiyaki with shimeji mushrooms

  • My bowl of food was a good portion size with a balance of chicken vegetables and tofu

  • My newly developed love for sushi was satisfied with this collection of highly moreish and freshly prepared sushi

  • T have a choice in our dessert as it was the &lsquo

  • What we received was an elegant bowl of raspberry panna cotta

  • Many of my table were not impressed with the lack of sweetness in it

  • Japanese cuisine is not known for the sweet dishes and so this was not too much of a disappointment

  • The only downside was the fact that we were unable to choose our dessert

  • 29.00 per person and is a great way to sample a few different dishes

  • As a result of these special menus dining at the lavish Sake No Hana is much more accessible and definitely worth a try

  • Sake No Hana is an impressive restaurant both in its decor and food

  • The restaurant also has a bar on the first floor which is a lovely place to start the meal

  • As the cocktails are expertly made for as you wait for your table

  • When I showed her a preview of the Sakura cherry blossom inspired bar at Sake No Hana it was on the priority list in front of anything else

  • To coincide with the cherry blossom theme at the Mayfair based bar and restaurant a special Sakura menu was introduced which is no longer available

  • Non alcoholic drinks and desserts was a crystal double layer bento box which caught our eye

  • This was perfect for an alternative to afternoon tea for a light snack in between the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street which I was being forced to endure given Mrs Nom&rsquo

  • The second layer contained seven spice chicken kuwayaki and a spring salad with sesame dressing

  • The staff are all very knowledgable about the food and are happy help you decide what drink would best accompany it

  • As much as I enjoyed all the cooked food (the aubergine and figs were most definitely a favourite

  • The scallop sashimi was so clean and fresh and my all time favourite

  • One of my favourite things about the arrival of Spring is the dreamy cherry blossom that makes the city look even prettier

  • We began our Sakura Gozen with a delightful Violet Risshun Cocktail

  • Punchy citrus flavours and was made with a blend of Jinzu Gin

  • The dark pink cocktail in a petite jug was then mixed in the carafe

  • We started with a steaming hot bowl of tasty

  • Comforting White Miso Soup with crispy tofu

  • Creamy dressing with plenty of crushed peanuts and topped with paper thin cassava chips

  • The main event was the Sakura crystal bento box filled with colourful

  • My favourite pieces of sushi were the flavoursome maki including spicy tuna with thinly sliced lemongrass and cucumber

  • Ranged from lean to fatty and the difference in taste and texture was noticeable

  • A traditional bamboo box was also filled with three pieces of sashimi kuro kanpachi

  • The bento box was finished with pretty decorations such as flower shaped carrots

  • Melt in the mouth sushi is some of the best you can hope to find in London

  • Light as air baked cheesecake was simply delightful with fresh cherries

  • The texture was a cross between cake and mousse and it reminded me a little of the light chiffon cake I&rsquo

  • A perfect end to the Sakura meal was a plate of Cherry Blossom macarons

  • Whimsically painted with a floral pattern

  • The delicate vanilla macarons were filled with a thick layer of velvety chocolate cherry blossom tea ganache and were ever so fresh and rather substantial

  • They can be washed down with a pot a Sakura tea

  • Sakura at Sake No Hana is a must if you&rsquo

  • I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was at Sake No Hana

  • The mango avocado sushi is unbelievably good and I usually end up ordering 2 3 portions of it

  • The truffle rice is also great

  • An unexpected benefit from blogging is the insight I&rsquo

  • T realise just how significant it was in Japanese society

  • The cherry blossom season in Japan is tracked by the meterological office and special Hanami celebrations are held throughout the country

  • A visit to Japan while the cherry trees are in blossom is now firmly on my wishlist

  • Everything was transformed with pretty cherry blossom trees

  • S a special two part cocktail which is included in the price of the Gozen &ndash

  • A minty basil herb is served first as a palate cleanser

  • Cranberry and lemon juice is added to create a softer drink to enjoy with the food

  • White miso soup is a pleasant way to start the meal

  • I'm happy I was able to have a small taste of the sakura season at Sake No Hana with Emma this year

  • We were served a warming white miso soup and a cold sesame spinach salad topped with crunchy cassava chips

  • The spinach was crunchy and refreshing with a lovely nutty flavour thanks to the sesame

  • My favourites were definitely the o toro and chu toro

  • This Mayfair restaurant is transformed into a floral wonderland &ndash

  • To help celebrate this special occasion several new dishes and cocktails are added to the menu

  • A and I had made a reservation for a Monday lunchtime (bank holiday) and found that it was pleasantly quiet

  • Sesame spinach with cassava chips

  • The cocktail was served first

  • The second is a jug with Belsazar rose vermouth

  • The bitter starter was refreshing

  • The sesame spinach however was a delightfully unique dish &ndash

  • So a special bento was made just for me

  • S fair to say that this is the best dessert I have had in a London restaurant

  • The presentation however was dwarfed by the sheer artistry of the dish itself

  • Sake no Hana is not just a destination for food

  • Most high street shops are always popping up and down

  • S is infinitely accessible to seekers of instant gratification with no fortune to preserve

  • Sakura at Sake No Hana is a bona fide pop up

  • The first half welcoming Spring with a sharp dose of Prosecco

  • The second half being mixed in to warm the drink with Marashino cherry liquer

  • With some of the best sashimi you&rsquo

  • Finish off with vanilla macaroons and an artful cherry chocolate dessert with fresh cherries

  • Light and whimsical dining is what dating&rsquo

  • The high stools and abundant cherry blossom will overwhelm with their scent of romance

  • Discuss which bento delight is your favourite and knock knees as you crowd the little table

  • Then when the taste of vanilla is in your mouth

  • You don't feel like you are sitting in the middle of Mayfair

  • Wooden surroundings are complimented by a relaxed atmosphere and a crowd to match

  • The restaurant t serves traditional Japanese cuisine with no adventurous contemporary attempts at its sushi (much like Zuma or Roka)

  • The sushi was sublime as was the calamari and black cod (again the latter didn't compare to that at Zuma)

  • The desert menu was surprisingly vast and having opted for the Sesame Pannacotta we certainly were not left disappointed

  • We went for lunch and the restaurant was largely filled by people out for business lunches

  • If you love Zuma and Roka and are looking for a new venture then Sake no hana should be on your list

  • Tuna tartar with truffle is a must

  • The Mayfair restaurant is transformed into a floral wonderland &ndash

  • There are so many restaurants in London that I want to visit just now my list is actually getting a little bit insane and top of that list was Sake no Hana

  • So having not seen Kirsty and Frankie for a while (any time spent apart from these girls is too long) we decided to make a girls' date night and head down to Sake no Hana and try it out

  • I recently visited Sake no Hana for the Taste of Sake no Hana menu and was blown away by the quality of the food and the service

  • You walk into such an opulent restaurant and are greeted by one of the most unique designs in London

  • The taste menu that we enjoyed is only £

  • 29 and comes with a glass of prosecco and is more than enough for a light(ish) dinner

  • The beef is gorgeous and it comes with a selection of tuna and salmon sushi

  • We went for red miso soup with clams (which was full of flavour)

  • Prawn tempura (nice and light) and the yellowtail sashimi with a truffle ponzu sauce

  • The scallop nigiri was particularly nice

  • Sake No Hana has amazing French desserts with an Asian twist

  • The service was friendly and efficient

  • Sake No Hana (Mayfair) has a very friendly staff that are ready to serve you joyfully which it is not common so far in London according to my personal experience

  • The food overall is not bad except for the desert which was not good

  • My favorite was the miso soup which was delicious

  • I think the best way to have a good New Year&rsquo

  • We kept it particularly low key and decided to go for dinner just the two of us and join up with friends later

  • S located just around the corner from us so we could walk back if we had trouble getting a cab or there were any road closures&hellip

  • Though in my heels I was definitely hoping not to have to take this option

  • S Eve is alway a boozy one for us and we started of with a couple of cocktails from the bar downstairs&hellip

  • As the set menu was made up of lots of our favourites that&rsquo

  • The decor is cool and modern with bamboo struts that are intended to give the impression of a forest

  • We started off with the customary miso soup

  • The first dish was a tasting platter starting with fried aubergine with miso

  • A Japanese dish which I love but that is often overly sweet

  • These were small ones but they were still tasty

  • Next to these was a perfectly cooked quail in shichimi pepper sauce

  • A delicious salmon tartare with miso and tobiko

  • Yellow tail sashimi with truffle black pepper ponzu sauce

  • A shared sushi platter with three different types of roll

  • The mixed tempura platter with wasabi sauce is highly recommended

  • Was not at its best as we had to wait very long to be served

  • I must say i love the restaurant the decor is lovely the ambiance perfect

  • Another thing that i love at sake no hana are the cocktails specially mojitos they are just some of the best I've had in london'

  • I went here for an event last time I was in London and they had lots of delicious trays of canapes

  • Fresh ingredients cooked well which is the essence of good Japanese food

  • The interiors were really beautiful ranging from the Japanese roses to the modern inspired furniture and lighting

  • It wasn't as busy as them and the service was really poor

  • The food was tasteless it was as if it was prepared months ago

  • The sauce again was so oily and tasteless

  • Is it true that the FAMOUS Hakkasan opened such an awful restaurant with UNproffesional staff and poor service

  • The veg sushi maki roll not bad was not bad celery and carrots

  • Tofu teriyaki was very goo and organic char grilled C was okay

  • Service staff are very attentive and helpful with the menu

  • When I went to Japan earlier this year I missed the cherry blossom season which is happening now

  • I ordered the signature menu which was delicious and the waiters very helpfully described what I was eating and how best to eat it

  • Their cultures are sometimes total antitheses of each other

  • I've heard lots of compliments about Sake No Hana and went there but unfortunately it was disappointing

  • The interior is quite flamboyant but it's not everything

  • I stared wide eyed at the gigantic fish that was being sliced up by a very competent chef

  • Choose this restaurant if you are a Japanese cuisine enthusiast

  • Even more if you are curious about Asian fusion taste

  • The service was great and staff attentive

  • I was so prepared to fall in love with Sake no Hana

  • As it was booked through my concierge we received some free cocktails to get us going which were all well received

  • Stand outs were the cooked salmon &

  • The only negative I would point out is that it seems like a sugar daddy date spot

  • Whilst we were dining I noticed half the tables were 50+ men and early 20's women

  • Perhaps it was a coincidence that was just on that night but the atmosphere could be improved by a more diverse crowd

  • The food is average not the best fusion Japanese food

  • I feel that this is a very costly gastronomical experience
