  • Royal China is such an institution but i rate it at 3.5 because it has been over priced for an awfully long time now

  • The service is always good

  • If a little rushed/brash but this is always justified

  • The restaurant has a nicer interior than most other chinese eateries that offer a similar menu and the place is usually very busy

  • The food is the best of its kind and there is a lot of choice

  • My only complaint would be that they don't let you get a table until your whole party has arrived which is frustrating as the waiting area is quite cramped

  • I've often passed by and thought it must be a good place to dine at but I was disappointed by the unfriendly staff and the long wait between the starters and main

  • The toilets were in dire need of a refurb and were very smelly

  • I have rarely seen food come out of the kitchen with such speed

  • The service was impeccable

  • Once you are seated you are in dimsum paradise

  • The quality of food is far better than other similar chinese places and the staff are always courteous and attentive

  • The dimsum here is the best and one should definitely try the prawn toast

  • The only downside here is that there is often a looong wait but the food is worth it

  • An authentic teapot along with mini teacups appears alongside prawn toast

  • These prawn toast are accompanied with a tangy sauce that leaves you wanting more

  • One with an open filling of prawns and the other a veggie dumpling each delicious with every mouthful taken

  • From the exterior it is hard to see inside

  • Upon entry and round the corner you are greeted with a bar and a giant fish tank including live lobster

  • Keeping in line with its authentic interior

  • Chicken chilli and fried rice were 3 of my favourite dishes

  • The hot and sour soup was also perfect

  • Staff there was extremely friendly and to my surprise

  • Finding a table the night we went was not much of a wait

  • Royal China is amongst the first on our list

  • Royal China Club is a premium restaurant in the chain and gives you this vibe with the tinted windows

  • Worth it if you want something with an extra element of class

  • Modern decor with oriental touches

  • Ordering a few rounds is no issue as the service is quite fast

  • Royal China Club is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in London

  • The restaurant is always busy

  • Buzzing atmosphere with a great crowd

  • The in house sommelier is happy to assist with choosing a wine

  • The attentive service is unparalleled

  • Located at Baker Street this branch of Royal China has a nice and modern decor with round tables which add an oriental touch

  • If you like class and style then this branch is the one for you

  • The crowd here is quite classy and the place is usually buzzing with people

  • The dim sums here are fantastic and I would recommend you try the Prawn &

  • Their crispy crab rolls are also a must

  • The food at Royal China is full of flavours and never disappoints you

  • The average price per person is 20 pounds which is not much for the great food served here

  • A well stocked lobster tank is the first thing that you see as you enter the dining room

  • Dover sole in XO sauce was served whole

  • Though the quite strong XO sauce was rather dominant

  • The shellfish themselves were carefully cooked and had good texture (14/20)

  • The service was much more attentive than at the Queensway Royal China

  • There was better service but this came with a significantly higher price to match

  • Notable ones are the crispy cheung fun

  • The Viognier from Mclaren Vale pairs well with most dishes

  • The atmosphere is quieter than Royal China and the food marginally better

  • There`s a local Royal China in Fulham to which we go quite often but this time we decided to venture slightly further to the Royal China Club in Baker Street which is their more upmarket restaurant

  • The dim sum was overall pretty good and I really enjoyed the Chinese roast pork puffs

  • The Shanghai dumplings were beautiful as well with a wonderful broth inside

  • My least favourite dish were the egg tarts which weren`t quite as they should be but generally it`s pretty hard to find a dim sum restaurant that makes all the individual dishes to perfection

  • I had the chicken fried rice with mixed greens and tofu and the chilli chicken

  • Everything was very authentic in taste and served well

  • The portions were big enough and could easily be shared by two
