  • I had a feeling that we were definitely going to be well fed that evening

  • The contemporary interior which was designed by Afroditi Krassa is inspired by Istanbul's vast history

  • The restaurant features an open kitchen with mangal grill and counter dining ideal for those who love a bit of 'behind the scenes' action

  • 'Talented Mr Fox' I sadly missed out on the cocktail tasting part of the evening as I was busy sweating it out to the tunes of Prince's 'When Doves Cry'

  • The kitchen is headed by Executive Chef Hus Vedat who is of Turkish heritage

  • Had a really strong smell of aniseed we were encouraged to have it neat first

  • We were each provided with chilled beakers of water which we added in equal portions

  • Forming an opaque mixture that was then MUCH more palatable

  • Ordered their hot milk drink which is quite thick but tastes nice on a cold day

  • Their ambience is very modern and not like a typical Turkish restaurant

  • Eating here is a great way to spend money without getting much back but if you're expensing the bill

  • The service was fine and the drinks are great but expensive

  • The portion were very small

  • The dining room is large and open with a moderate volume permeating throughout the room

  • Everything is plated in a way that makes it easy for sharing

  • Shame as the consistency of the hummus was quite nice

  • The pickle on the onion was gentle and thoughtful

  • Mint (3/10) All was lost in the sauce

  • I think if the dumplings are meant to be as doughy and dense as they are that something crisp would lend a welcome textural contrast to the dish

  • Mint) (8/10) Certainly one of the best dishes of the evening for me

  • I thought that this was everything that a modern interpretation of something should be

  • Everything was prepared well

  • Burnt tomato (7/10) Much better was the lamp rump dish

  • Kűnefe (8/10) A cheese filled pastry topped with lemon syrup and pistachios

  • The caramelisation of the vermicelli was beautiful and provided a lovely crunch that did not yield once topped with deliciously sweet syrup

  • This dish is popping up in more and more restaurants and this iteration of it is certainly one of the best I've had

  • The hazelnut ice cream was the perfect accompaniment making for an almost overly indulgent sugar rush

  • Overall I had a very mixed experience with the food at Yosma and that makes it a hard place for me to rate

  • I will say that the cocktail list is filled with interesting (and delicious) drinks and that the staff was some of the friendliest you'll ever come across

  • I fell in love with the Turkish drink salgam

  • The dessert and Turkish milk with orchid flowers is also worth trying

  • It seems that the real meaning is far more mundane

  • The restaurant is bigger than expected

  • With or without sides/salad) since the portions are quite small

  • The stand out dishes for me were the hellim

  • The warm tahini cake with hazelnut ice cream again was amazing

  • Even though the portions are a bit small

  • Definitely the best Turkish restaurant in London

  • The must try are the Kofteh with Potatoes and the Feta &

  • Yes the service was just amazing

  • Also tried the eggplant dish and was not disappointed

  • They have some nice wines from the Rurkish region which was a nice surprise

  • Our host Yousra was very helpful when taking the order and kept coming to check if we needed anything

  • The chicken wings were delicious ( I can't remember the exact name of the dish) 5/5
