Mamma Dough (Brixton)

• Mamma Dough's was a great place to hang out
• The restaurant is light filled from its large windows
• Spacious and nicely decorated with stripped wood floors and exposed brick walls
• A big pizza oven in one corner is a key room feature and great to be able to see the pizzas prepared and cooked nearby
• The pizzas themselves were the highlight
• Sour dough bases which were both not too thick or too thin were fantastic and the toppings were equally first rate
• In my view these were better than Franca Manca nearby in Brixton Market but this will be subjective and to people's personal tastes
• Me the base had a bit less dough and more tomato sauce and slightly more generous with the other toppings which made the Mamma Dough's versions superior
• This is probably my new best pizza place in London
