Rossopomodoro (Covent Garden)

• Recently I was invited for a birthday dinner by an Italian to an Italian restaurant named Rossopomodoro in Covent Garden
• If an Italian was the one inviting you to this restaurant
• One look at the menu and you would realise that this is way out of the league of Pizza places like Dominoes and Pizza hut
• The price range is on a higher side but it is full value for money
• I ordered Bruschetta for my appetizer and was not disappointed
• The bread was not soggy and was crusty even with the tomatoes being beautifully tossed in extra virgin olive oil
• The icing on the cake was indeed a cake and not just any cake but a tiramisu with squirts of nutella on top
• If you're looking amazing pizza this is the place to go to
• I have even heard Italians say that this is their favorite
• The food and pizzas are great and authentic
• The antipasti and pasta are not the best I've had however the pizzas are very nicely done
• Rossopomodoro is great italian place with good value for money
• The service last time i went was excellent and
• Very italian (waitress was from Italy)
• This helps to create the desired atmosphere i was mentionning previously
• The serving of tomatos i got was nothing less than huge which greatly compensated for the plain taste
• I continued my meal with a Calzone pizza
• A really positive point is that the chef gave me a huge serving and wasn't shy on adding lots of ham and cheese
• This makes me confidently say Rossopomodoro is a relatively generous restaurant chain
• The location of this particular restaurant is great as it stands just between two key places
• The restaurant is in itself very well done up and appears rather spacious thanks to the large windows running all around it
• Rossopomodoro (Covent Garden) is also often recommended by italians themselves which is always a sign of excellent food
• This restaurant was recommended by a friend of ours but food did not live up to our expectations
• The bread selection we ordered for starters was served without any dip
• On being asked for one we were served with olive oil only
• A friend tells me that this chain is to Italy what Pizza Express is to the UK
• The pizzas are satisfying and authentically prepared
• Visited here the other day with a group of friends after Rossopomodoro (Covent Garden) won out in the debate of where to visit in the area
• I have to say I was pleasantly surprised
• Instantly I was drawn towards the gourmet pizzas and decided to get a Fru Fru and Vitulana to share with a friend
• The outright winner was the Vitulana
• The truffle and buffalo mozz fondue sauce was what caught my eye initially and really is to die for giving a new twist on the standard tomato flavours from pizza sauces
• The smoked mozzarella was the real kicker topped off perfectly with the Neapolitan sausage giving the pizza a bit of spice
• This really was an impressive pizza
• I do recommend however for the indecisive as this does allow the three in one variety that is often needed to avoid levels of food envy
• The food took longer than it should of to get to the table and the service was rather limited
• It was packed so I guess it is to be expected unfortunately
• It has two floors and both were packed when we went Rossopomodoro is clearly a popular destination
• The only criticism I have of the restaurant is the service
• The wait was repeated when it was time to ask for the bill
• When one of my friends asked if it were possible to change a particular ingredient of one of the dishes
• Her request was met with unsmiling irritation
• A shame the experience was somewhat marred by poor service
• Rossopomodoro is a chain specialising in the Naples variety of pizza (thin)
• The Covent Garden outpost is delightfully big
• The restaurant has a great italian atmosphere and reasonable prices with attentive staff
• Rosso pomodoro is the first restaurant I visit
• What makes it a different experience is the fresh basil plant laid on the table
• Rossopomodoro is one of the more authentic pizza chains in the capital
• The service is consistently high and the pizzas are always thin
• The burratta was so nice and the black ink pasta was so good
• The pizza was not the best i had in london
• Service was quick and ambience was so nice but kind of noisy
• Place where they say that the pizza dough is made like in Napoles
• If it is or not i really don't know because I never been but the true is that Rossopomodoro have delicious pizzas
• I really recommend to ask for the bread basket so you can try it with the olive oil and the balsamic vinegar
• You think that the prices are reasonable &
• Ordered 1 Desert which was the Tiramisu
• It's probably what naughty children are force drunk in Italy
• Little man was invited to a children&rsquo
• Got invited here by friends and the food was especially for vegetarian people
• Very low I believe but this is exactly what happened me at this great place
• Service is good and prices are pretty decent
• T make us feel like we had to go because they were closing soon
• Even though the restaurant was gonna close very soon they offered to serve desserts and coffee
• Moving to the food we go for a Bruschetta and Olives to go with the drinks
• The bruschetta is really nice and my partner in crime is in love with the olives
• The gnochhi is cheesy and tasty
• Rossopomodoro (Covent Garden) is famous for their pizza and our pizza is just perfect
• In deserts we go for a tiramisu and strawberry gelato served with berries and whipped cream
