Little Japan (South Kensington)

• The salmon in the bento box was so overcooked and tough we couldn't eat it
• South Kensington is equal parts awful and amazing
• Pretty traditional with the service and in need of a lick of paint
• Within its surroundings Little Japan is pretty epic
• The box comes with pickled seaweed (that's actually seaweed and not cabbage)
• The star of the bento is of course the sweet and sour pork
• The sauce is rich and sticky but not desperately sweet and packed with red and green peppers and onions for even more healthiness
• See these boxes are actually rather good for you
• The steamed rice is fine and I always top it with soy sauce which is at the table in an old Malt vinegar bottle
• Alex's favourite is unsurprisingly the tonkatsu bento
• Featuring his favourite breaded pork (katsu) with a spicy sweet sauce to match
• The sushi comes with fresh lemon
• If you're in the South Kensington area then Little Japan is well worth a visit
• Turn right out of South Kensington station into the square and Little Japan is right there
• Didn't seem fresh and there is nothing special about the fried rice
• It is actually a restaurant with menus mostly Chinese food with the exception of a few dishes and staff are all Chinese
• This restaurant is NOT JAPENESE restaurant
• ( not very successfully) Japanese tea they serve is not Japanese
• Japanese Goza is not Goza but badly made Chinese dumplings
• This restaurant is simply BAD fake Japanese restaurant
• Little Japan is located right next to South Kensington tube station
• I went there as a pre show meal as Japanese food is one of my favourite cuisines hence I was expecting a lot
