Comptoir Libanais (South Kensington)

• I ordered a falafel wrap and I was a little disappointed by the food
• The falafel was very dry and there was no accompaniment either
• Also the seating was very uncomfortable
• All the tables are put really close to each other so it's not a very private affair
• The hot chocolate was really good so that did brighten me up
• I've been here many times for group lunches this is one place you need to be prepared to cosy up to your dining mates
• Yet tasty mezze plates and tagines and the pomegranate lemonade is deliciously refreshing
• Lunch time is invariably busy due to the proximity of the museum precinct
• Two of which were 30th birthdays
• More than a few of us are vegetarians so we picked Comptoir Libanais as they seemed very veggie friendly
• We got there at just after six and there was a little confusion about our table as it appeared there was an old man sitting on it
• We realised there was slightly less of us than we had booked
• Choosing a dish was pretty difficult as it all sounded so good
• Fully infused with all the described flavours way better than a bowl of chips
• My only gripe would be that there wasn't enough hummus on the side I would have liked more for the flatbread I was left with at the end
• The place is kinda funky and colourful and the prices are really reasonable
• It's a great place to go with a group of friends
• Small and busy with a vibrant atmosphere
• Delicious fresh food with strong flavours and a cheery atmosphere
• The tea and desserts are also extremely light and delicious
• A good restaurant with pleasing and colorful ambience serving authentic Lebanese cuisine
• I would suggest this is an ideal place to go out for group lunch with your office colleagues and they serve some amazing mezze platter
• Most of the times this restaurant is busy during Lunch as its located close to lots of tourist attractions
• The best part is that they have kept their menu simple but tasty food items are being served like tagines
• The best part of the restaurant is that its colorful surrounded with sheeshas
• Just one complaint I have is that the speed of service is slow as usually it is crowed
• Sole reason for this was that i spotted Tagine on their menu and there was an audience waiting to get in
• The only problem was the kofta or the meat balls which were a bit hard and separately cooked it seems
• You get an option of having the Tagine with rice or khus khus
• Sauteed along with the vermicelli
• Next we tried was Grill Shish Taouk
• It's served with baba ganouj
• Just a seekh kebab kind of a grilled a preparation served with the fantastic rice and baba ganouj
• Dessert i tried the organic yoghurt with honey and roasted nuts
• I'm in love with Comptoir Libanais (South Kensington)
• There is always a long queue but the service is so efficient that you are never going to wait for long
• I also asked for additional pita bread and at that point I was almost full
• Even though I was almost full
• I did not stop eating as it was so addicting
• Le comptoir Libanais is a very decent lebanese place
• I recommend to start with sharing some houmous and two other starters
• It's a very pleasant way to eat with your friends
• This restaurant is very cheap
• The atmosphere is really relaxed

• The service is terrible and our experience was totally ruined by the attitude of the waiters
• There is a myriad of waiters that work here but they are completely disorganized
• We didn't seem to have one waiter that was attending our table
• During the entirety of our meal we were trying to get the attention of waiters that were rushing around and that kept looking annoyed about our requests
• Even though we were just asking for additional dishes or more water
• The food itself is quite good although it is served in really small portions
• The restaurant itself is decorated nicely with colorful pictures on the walls and colorful bags
• It's a nice restaurant with good food but I wouldn't come here again because of the way we were treated by the waiters and the price of the meal we had
• Loves their humous and baba ganoush but they serves it with such small amount of bread that you'll have to order more bread

• I started by tasting the hommos with bread which was good
• The restaurant is quite crowded and the service is a little slow and not well organized but it is a good place to be with friends and there are many dishes I want to try
• Started off with a bang about 8 years ago and used to be quite reasonable priced but has gradually become a little too pricey by comparison
• Has to be couscous with chicken and olive tagine
• I decided to visit this well situated South Kensington establishment to see what I was missing from the country of Lebanon
• The weather was glorious and Comptoir Libanais conveniently has lots of outdoor seating perfect for the nice weather
• The food came in good time and was reasonably well presented with a moderate portion of salad on the side
• The tortilla was certainly not the kind of 'tortilla' I was expecting (in fact it resembled a quiche more than the tortillas I'm used to) but I suppose this must be how it's eaten in Lebanon
• Also tried some Lebanese beer which was slightly generic and disappointing
• The staff weren't very friendly and seemed like they were on another planet
• As they were distracted with something else happening
• Traditional Lebanese environment with good food quality ( the bread quality should be improved
• I tried couple of things which were very different for me but it was awesome
• Must try is falafal with hummus and chicken kofta
• Also Lebanese beer was just too much
• It is not the best gastronomical experience
• Other than that food is tasty and it is a good price given the spot
• It was very disappointing we are Lebanese so we know what our food tastes like
• I got the lamb tagine and was surprised by the small dish brought forth for me I would have paid probably a £
• This particular restaurant is always busy and not paying much attention to its customers or as a matter of fact to the quality of the food
• Taste buds were definitely satisfied
• Tasty the mezze platters are a real treat
• The tables are so small that u cant fit ur bag even
• One of the best Arabian restaurants in London
• The lamb and chicken were cooked to perfection
• The soup tasted amazing everything was mouth watering
• Both the restaurant and the food are very colourful
• The quintessential Lebanese falafel was quite up to its definition of being crisp on the out and soft on the inside
• You can enjoy that with fresh hummus
• As tourist tried this restaurant as we were staying nearby
• The decoration is very colourful
• Recommend this restaurant if you are looking for fresh lebanese flavours
• The portions are a bit small but the food is good and not very expensive compared to other places
• Recommended if looking for a Lebanese restaurant with a nice outdoor/indoor seating area
• As I write this review I am currently waiting for the main dish (2 Spicy Kafta Lamb) which was ordered more than 30 min ago
