Happy Dumplings (Brixton)

• The bits that were there tasted very fishy like how old prawns would taste
• I went to Happy Dumpling with my British friends
• The soup of the pork noodle was basically hot water with a bit of salt and sesame oil
• The dumplings were even worse
• They were over cooked and all the fillings were falling out
• The fried ones had clearly been fried and refried at least twice in old oil and the steamed ones were not cooked through and were like rubber and sitting on old
• I've eaten street food and in simple restaurants around the world and this was amongst the worst they give you USED wooden chopsticks the kind that
• The tiny pork ribs were fried in KFC type batter and fried too many times also
• Such a shame when there are so many incredible independent eateries in Brixton

• I tried Happy Dumplings (Brixton) out with a friend last night
• Firstly the tables are tiny and wobbly and food all over the floor
• After making our choices the waiter told us there was no chicken or prawn dumplings left
• The Thai noodles were not rice noodle instead they used spaghetti in a strange sauce with huge amount of grated cucumber in top
• The whole thing was tasteless and bizarre
• 10 minutes later they brought the rice over which was egg fried rice
• The dumplings were impossible to differentiate
• I went last night with my girlfriend
• The service was very good and food was excellent
• I would definitely come back with my friends
• The sauce was a bit too sweet and the duck was quite chewy
• Overall I have to say that the duck wasnt for me but the seats outside were very comfortable and the experience was quite pleasant
• A basket of prawn crackers was given on a complementary basis

• Sometime later I came here with my partner for dinner and had steamed and fried dumplings with soup which we shared
• We were allowed to take in our own wine which was a good thing because we had a great wine merchant just down the lane
• Cor is quite bad and furniture is also not in a very good condition
• I was hoping for one good dish but it wasn't to be and the entire meal was pretty disgusting
• They also provide a course on how to make them which is a really good thing i felt
• The ambience was wonderful with beautiful decor
• The service was pretty efficient
• The interiors are not at all inviting
• The service was also not consistent and a little delayed
• The food was equally inconsistent with some dishes tasting good and the others tasting simply pathetic
• The value for money is also pretty low and one could easily prefer another place
• I recommend trying the coriander dumplings which were heavenly and beautiful
• I'm a person who loves Asian food and what I had here was a disaster
• The size of the Siu Mai Dumplings was the size of my thumb and was soo salty to taste
• The egg fried rice was awfully presented and was not worth the money too
• The dim sums were equally tasteless and the meal was so expensive that I had to count back what I had eaten
• Since there are much better places to visit in this city

• The prices of Happy Dumplings (Brixton) are pretty reasonable and the staff is quite friendly as well
• The food was not at all appetizing and was quite flavorless

• The sanitary conditions are really bad compared to the rest of Brixton Village restaurant
• All the other Restaurant around have great variety and quality of food to offer but this one is the worst place I have ever eaten at
• Some of my friends who where not with us that night
• The food was great and they are so welcoming great service perfect food great experience would recommend that you can also have such a great experience as I did
• Happy Dumplings (Brixton) is great the safe were lovely to fit our group of 13 in
• Wouldn't recommend if you are really into dumplings
• The dumplings and crab cakes were a bit bland
