  • The pad thai was generous and so moreish that my partner made sure to pick every last bite from the plate

  • Though the beef was curiously dry

  • The curry itself was absolutely perfect and more than made up for the difference

  • The waiter that serves us was slightly rude and had too much on we plate

  • Overall the place is very impressive from the outside and inside

  • East Street is a very lively joint

  • While the food is of uniformly good quality

  • I wouldn't mind if they were a bit more prompt

  • I skipped last Christmas and headed to Cambodia and Laos for three weeks of travelling with my flatmates

  • The other day someone on Twitter and in London mentioned that they were drinking it

  • I queried where she was and discovered East Street

  • A few days later I found myself battling through a torrential rainstorm (the sort where umbrellas are essentially useless as the rain is coming sideways and upwards) to meet a friend for lunch there

  • It is the sort of decoration a restaurant would wear if it was going as Asian to a fancy dress party

  • With a good kick of spice they were very morish

  • The prawns were large and juicy

  • We finished up with fresh mint teas (I was going back to work) and the bill came in at just under £

  • Colourful joint filled with Asian street stall signs &

  • East Street is a colourful and lively joint

  • The food we ordered came steaming from the kitchen and was flavoursome

  • The staff were accomodating to my nut allergy and were generally very attentive

  • The interior is an experience in itself

  • Asian bank notes and maps are glued to the walls and street signs hang from the ceiling

  • I highly recommend the Pad Thai which is sweet and tasty

  • Popular place with the easy going air of Wahaca

  • Hearty nibbles with someone you're not exactly aiming to impress

  • Each dish is labelled with the country of origin

  • Dishes generally come with a mound of sticky

  • I would recommend to dive in when you find yourself wandering central London with a friend and fancy an impromptu nibble without sacrificing too much of your hard earned cash

  • The searing is really informal

  • I liked how lively it was even at noon

  • It is very nice going with a bunch of friends as East Street (Fitzrovia) encourages conversation and continued interactions

  • I enjoyed the platter with different appetizers to share as you have the opportunity to taste different things

  • There are so many different meals and the servers are more than willing to help you through out the process of deciding what to eat

  • This restaurant is not difficult to find however if I was not looking for it

  • Philippine cuisine is the poster child of 'fusion' food but it also has neat tricks up its sleeve (which may not be everyone's cuppatea

  • You don't serve adobo with chips/crisps/broccoli

  • First thing I noticed was the garnish of sweet potato 'slices' which resembled crisps from a packet

  • The BBQ Platter is a mix of chargrilled satay and yakitori chicken skewers

  • I wasn't really blown away by the selection to be honest (the satay sauce was a bit dry and the chicken was bland) but at £

  • ) You can have it as a main if you're really hungry or you can share it with someone else as a starter

  • I went for the ga xe phay which is a Vietnamese salad of grilled chicken and shredded veggies in a lime and peanut oil dressing

  • I've asked them to make it spicy so I was pretty happy to see chopped chilies tossed around

  • The serving was massive and the salad was very filling

  • The bu loc lac (Vietnamese shaking beef) was quite nice

  • East Street served it with some sort of caramel sauce and cinnamon ice cream

  • The atmosphere seemed livelier and I think that's what East Street is really about

  • Heard from a friend that East Street (Fitzrovia) was nice and they weren't wrong

  • The decor inside is pretty cool

  • Mains come with rice is a welcomed change to having had it separate

  • Then go visit these guys are they are right in the middle of Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road

  • East Street (Fitzrovia) is quite cool and exciting with its colourful decor transporting you to somewhere fun in East Asia

  • Thai curries and malaysian rendang all with a reasonable price tag attached

  • I decided to go with the Malaysian satay chicken with rice which featured on their light lunch menu

  • We visited for a meal just before christmas so the place was pretty busy therefore the service levels were impacted

  • Tastes yummy with the Tangy sweet dip

  • London (outside of Chinatown) is so full of them

  • An outrageously large portion size with bonus prawn crackers (most still crispy

  • There was enough of it and it was a tantalising combo

  • The fried shallots were a crunchy topper

  • Some dishes are good and others are pretty mediocre

  • Best nasi i have had in london is from Roti king

  • Fantastic selection of Asian fusion meals that are great for lunchtime or a quick bite off of Oxford Street

  • Unfortunately I was on keto diet so couldn&rsquo
