  • Have visited Mildreds (Soho) twice now and this restaurant which is more like a cafe was nothing but a disappointment

  • To mention with much regret

  • We were taken aback with the unwelcoming and unfriendliness of the staff

  • Mildreds (Soho) was quite contrary to my high expectations

  • The fries and spring rolls were the saving grace

  • The dessert was very average

  • The only good bit was the efficient service of the staff

  • I went to Mildreds (Soho) and had best non meat beef and ale pie

  • Pumpkin based with fries and sauce

  • The wine listing on their menu is rather good

  • The service too was great making it quite enjoyable

  • Yet lively environment that is conducive to both a friendly chatter

  • The clear winner is the food all of which tastes amazing

  • Mildreds (Soho) is a must try for all vegetarians

  • Perfect atmosphere and good company are all you need for a good outing

  • Was excellent as was the rest of the stuff

  • Mildreds (Soho) is one of the best vegetarian restaurants

  • They are usually very busy and it is tough to manage a table

  • The service however was a little poor

  • The place is always almost full but still it is a part of its unique appeal

  • Another great thing about Mildreds (Soho) is the amazing service

  • The place is pretty amazing since the menu is extensive with a bias towards the vegetarians and the quality of food delicious

  • The drinks were amazing too

  • Mildreds (Soho) doesn't take any reservations and I must say that it is a good bet for those who have a craving for some vegetarian food

  • The area upstairs is quite peaceful when compare to the ground floor

  • The staff is amiable and the service is also pretty standard

  • The menu is quite an extensive one with lots of Middle Eastern dishes served

  • The service here was terrible to say the least

  • The food that came to our table was the wrong order

  • Despite them having checked with us a number of times

  • We ordered sweet potatoes with a cashew nut curry

  • The polenta cake was soft and 'melt in the mouth' yummy

  • Mildreds (Soho) is buzzing with people all the time because it serves palpable food for both meat lovers and veggie freaks

  • The basil risotto cake brushed with a ting of creamy marination was the winner among all that we ordered

  • We waited at the bar with delicious cocktails

  • The setting was very close and there was little space in between

  • The only issue is the closeness of the table

  • Get read to wait to get a table as Mildreds (Soho) is a crowd puller

  • There was no queue to be seated and we were given a table immediately

  • We ordered some starters (The Chinese fried dumplings are a must have

  • The mains we ordered were delicious and the portions were enormous

  • The dessert (chocolate and peanut butter brownie) was also delightful

  • The tables were way too close to each other

  • The service here was extremely poor

  • The waitress complained to us when we were being a bit noisy

  • Our complaint was not taken seriously

  • There are options for people who are gluton and diary intolerant which is rare

  • I am not sure if there is any option of booking here because whenever I have always gone without it

  • This is the best place for vegan food in my knowledge

  • Even though Mildreds (Soho) is not that upbeat but it makes for a good hang out with friends and the food is really awesome as well

  • Friendly and efficient and the place is cool as well

  • Quesadillas had mangoes in them which didn't suite our taste but the stir fry was awesome and that's it

  • The food was average and did not meet our expectations but the prices were average as well and so it didn't pinch us

  • Overall the food did let us down but still it is a decent place

  • I thought of trying Mildreds (Soho) because of it's good reviews but was left a little disappointed

  • The place is quite big and even if there are a bunch of customers you do not feel packed in between

  • The menu is pretty attractive and that's what I thought initially but when my food came I was disappointed

  • I opted for salad which mainly consisted of carrots and a pinch of other green vegetables along with a greasy dressing priced quite exorbitantly

  • It provides the vast range of vegetarian food that I feel is missing in restaurants and stores across London

  • The Sri Lankan Sweet Potato and Cashew Nut curry was an absolute delight

  • The huge variety of dishes from around the world will mean that is something for everyone

  • I must say I have been thoroughly enjoying myself with all the activities that I have been doing

  • It is amazing what starts to happen when you walk away from something that is draining you

  • Totally not aligned with what it is that you want for your life

  • Is quite modern with simple furniture as well as having patriotic art on the walls

  • A little different to the typical vegetarian/vegan places which are in many cases quite rustic and hippyesque

  • I got down there in the afternoon around 3.30ish and there were just a few people having some late lunch with lots of laughter and chatter adding to the relaxed

  • As I was looking through the menu I was beating myself up for having an orange hot chocolate before I came

  • As I was not really that hungry any more and there were so many things I wanted to try

  • Whilst waiting for my food to arrive I chatted briefly with the waitress about cold pressed juices and how getting a NutriBullet changes your life

  • My food arrived before I even got to check all of my social media which is handy when you are dining by yourself

  • Surrounded by the creamy Sri Lankan sweet potato curry with cashew nuts and was accompanied by coconut tomato sambal

  • The warm spices making it so fragrant with the cardamom being quite dominant in particular

  • I particularly enjoyed having the curry and the rice with a big dollop of tomato sambal

  • I thoroughly enjoyed it and was pleased to find out the fact that it was just as nice looking in real life as it was in the pictures

  • Had to be the chocolate truffle fondue with cherry compote and vanilla ice cream

  • To this day nobody can match the chocolate fondue they serve with pistachio ice cream at Meat &

  • Wine in Sheperds Bush but this one was gluten free and vegan

  • Maybe that was down to the fact that it was a healthier version of my all time favourite dessert or maybe it was the fact that it was a truffle fondue

  • That could have been down to the fact that I had that bloody hot chocolate before coming and I was already in a chocolate coma

  • Crowded atmosphere was nice to see in a vegan friendly vegetarian place)

  • Would have given a +0.5 rating if they were completely vegan

  • Quorn substitutes are the new ingredients in my cupboard and fridge

  • I went out for dinner at Mildred's with two friends

  • While my vegetarian friend is a regular there

  • We arrived at 7pm and the restaurant was already packed

  • We were asked to wait 45 minutes to get a table at the bar as their rule is 'no reservations'

  • The first one was pan fried halloumi

  • The cheese was soft and very tasty

  • The second starter was a mexican platter

  • My favourtie dish from the platter was brie and jalapeno quesadilla with pico de gallo

  • Spicy black turtle beans were fine but not my cup of tea

  • Butternut squash is one of my favourite Autumn vegetables and mixed with goat's cheese

  • The cream with basil was perfect to link all the ingredients from the dish together

  • My other friend went for the other pasta dish which is on the current menu everyday

  • When it arrived I was a bit jealous as it looked good too

  • The tortellini was very nice and a little bit sweet

  • The best part of this dish was sauce with mushroom and truffle oil

  • It took a bit of time to choose what we wanted qnd it was a really good value

  • Not special but they were at least attentive to details which is a good thing considering they were extremely busy (apparently it is like that every day)

  • I went to Mildreds with my friend on my birthday

  • I arrived shortly before 6 PM and it already was almost full

  • ) About 30 mins later there were already lots of people waiting at the bar for free tables

  • Probably the best artichoke I've ever had

  • Got there just before it opened for lunch at 12 and glad we did because it was full 10min later

  • Probably under 50 covers) and the take away salad bar was immensely popular too

  • Til our glasses were completely dry)

  • Really good menu choices (I was spoilt for choice and didn&rsquo

  • Cherry tomato and wilted spinach with balsamic glaze

  • Brie and jalapeno quesadilla with pico de gallo

  • This is the best place if you love the hustle and bustle of the city alongside your health kick

  • I loved that we were given the option to sit with strangers and meet new people

  • The burgers are pretty big

  • The atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are lovely and jolly

  • The reason for the 3.5 is that they don't take reservations and won't let you leave your name and number and leave

  • They ask you to wait in the overly cramped bar which I think is a bit cheeky

  • Once your table is finally ready

  • The highlights of our meal were the Thai tofu fritters with mango

  • The fresh tortellini filled with pumpkin and ricotta

  • The sweet potato wedges with bucket loads of their house basil mayo the best I have EVER had

  • Avoid the tagine which lacked flavour and was very dry/carb heavy

  • Their maple pecan pie with vanilla ice cream could be vastly improved upon

  • The parts of our meal we did enjoy though were exceptionally good and overall Mildred's is good value

  • My friend and I shared a plate of halloumi which was exceptionally tasty and balanced the salt of the cheese with a sweet sauce and wilted spinach

  • Even though I was quite satisfied

  • E and I can honestly say this was one of the best puddings I've eaten

  • With such amazing food that loves you dazed this is definitely one of the best eateries in central London

  • We were there with a group of 5 vegetarians and all of us just loved the food

  • The small 14 tabled restaurant is situated in the middle of all the buzz of Soho

  • The restaurant a very short and concise menu with all the dishes Vegetarian

  • The biggest negative about Mildreds (Soho) is that there are no reservations

  • The desert menu though lacks a bit of creativity but what they have in the menu is well prepared and quite tasty

  • This vegetarian Restaurant is definitely one of my favourites in London

  • There flavours are well balanced and a treat on the tongue

  • Packed with flavour with a delicious dip

  • Have to have to try the risotto with saffron cream

  • Great establishment in the heart of London especially if you are vegetarian

  • We got the table upstairs which was very cosy and chiq

  • Mains of risotto and stir fry was deliciously fresh

  • It wouldn't be my usual practice to select an all vegetarian restaurant to meet a friend for lunch especially considering neither one of us are vegetarian

  • I saw that you couldn't book ahead but I didn't expect it to be as busy as it was for a weekday lunchtime

  • It was a bit haphazard trying to see where that queue ends and whether there was a separate queue for diners wanting to eat in more formally

  • Numerous staff were milling around busily but not one person stopped to ask me if I was ok or whether I had been served until I made it quite apparent

  • The waiting staff all did their best to serve promptly given how busy it was but I generally found that they were a little unwelcoming in nature

  • Constantly kept trying to rush us by walking over and peering to see if we had finished (even when lots of other tables were available and the lunch crowds were dying down) and generally

  • We chose this last option selecting some flatbread with hummmous and baba ganouj

  • Sweet potato fries which come with a side of basil mayo (vegan friendly and SO delicious and moist) and or chipotle ketchup

  • I made a special request for the pecan pie which was taken off the menu (seasonal purposes)

  • Ac) favourite dessert and when she didn't find it on the menu she was distraught

  • Their giant risotto was the star of the show

  • Mildred's provided a surprisingly tasty lunch and is a restaurant I'd consider returning to with non vegetarian friends

  • Had high expectations especially considering the wait is usually an hour for a table

  • This is not a health cafe and the real healthy options are limited to 2 3 items on the menu

  • Really enjoyable evening at Mildred's with a few set backs

  • The line for a table is about an hour long

  • After a long wait you'll be seated at a tiny table on top of the person next to you if you aren't sharing a table with them so it's cramped with no privacy in your conversation at all

  • The food we did have was super delicious and full of amazing flavours the cauliflower side dish is a must

  • Probably one of the best cauliflower dishes I've had hence the high rating

  • Stalked the restaurant on instagram and zomato way before we went there and there was one dish in particular that had great reviews the Polish burger

  • It's a cute little vegetarian restaurant that's been around for a gazillion years and is reliable and delicious

  • The stand out was Mildreds with three locations

  • The desserts were my favourite

  • We started off with a small portion of the lemon and ricotta tortelloni

  • It felt a bit steep for 3 tortellinis (particularly as my burger was the same price

  • This only drawback of Mildreds (Soho) is that the service is very slow

  • Mildred's vegan/veggie burgers are a good size

  • Without the grease that you usually get with a meat burger

  • The people in front of us in the queue were asked to wait 45 mins

  • We were luckily given the choice of a shared table which was immediately available

  • The restaurant is so much bigger on the inside with multiple floors

  • I had the beetroot and white bean burguer and it was absolotely delicious

  • Start with a fresh juice and end it up with some of their cocktails

  • I highly recommend the large detox salad with marinated tofu for lunch if you feel you need to detox

  • I believe you won't be disappointed with any of their dishes

  • Oh my gOD the food here is INCREDIBLE

  • I wish either a) i lived in London so I could go here all the time or b) there was a Mildreds in Australia so I could go all the time

  • The burgers and the appetizers are just exquisite

  • Every bite of every dish was very delicious

  • While we did have a wait it was well worth it

  • Service and food were perfect and the time spend there was amazing

  • Mildreds is the best vegetarian restaurant I&rsquo

  • Soon after I became vegetarian which was 11 years ago

  • T even serve drinks with straws due to ethical reasons straws being plastic and bad for the environment etc

  • It can be a little cramped in here but it is totally worth it

  • This restaurant is a must try whenever in London

  • We also ordered the chicken yakitori which was very well flavoured and done

  • All the 3 dishes were amazing and they come with interesting small sides of different kind of pickles

  • We ordered extra buns as they were super fresh

  • I must say that the portions are not very generous
