Roxy (Fitzrovia)

• A great selection of cocktail pitchers were two for one
• It fills up with people slowly but surely
• The Roxy used to be my go to club for when we were in the centre of town and wanted to keep the party going
• It's not really the kind of place I'd seek out especially but it's open until about three and if you're drunk enough then the music is good enough
• On Saturdays it is supposed to be a bit of an indie disco but in fact it plays pretty poppy stuff (I'm sure Here Comes the Hotstepper gets played every time I'm there)
• Having been there before she was very concerned that we would have no space
• She was insistent in saying that it was always packed the weeks before
• I can only guess that the reason for it being rather empty was because it was a few days before Christmas
• Or maybe had turned their back on the city already and were on the way into the countryside to drink mulled wine and sit near an open fire
