Draughts (Dalston)

• So there's a high chance that you will turn up and be placed on a waiting list with no end in sight
• Your best bet is to rock up early on a Saturday and settle in for the long haul
• Many of the games are available to buy on site if you are hooked after a couple of rounds
• If Draughts is full when you get there
• All the games are coded and organized (though it is organized by some combination of alphabetization and 'context') and they have just about every board game that was ever made
• No one at Draughts was ordering cocktails
• Everything is small nibbles (think small Ham&
• Their meat board is better than the hummus plate
• I have given this venue 4 stars not for their food or drink (which are more than fine
• This is a super place to go if you are trying to get to know a group and want a unique experience
• It is a great chilling pastime to sit with your beau/bae or friends
• The kitchen is closed until 12
• My 4 stars are for the concept
• Perfect place to spend a few hours playing games with your friends
• So once our friends told us there was a really cool cafe with board games next to their flat
• We thought it was worth the try
• Especially considering this is not a city planned for cars)
• The three games we tried to play all had pieces missing or no instructions which was really frustrating as we arrived in a big group and deciding on games wasn't that easy
• Yet I almost always favour the lager with the Pastrami Reuben sandwich
• It's a good cafe with playing games
• Their board games collection is impressive
• You can totally hang with your friends there for hours
• The environment is very amazing
• Draughts (Dalston) is the perfect outing for your group of friends
• We were just 2 and it was a bit of a struggle
• We ordered a hot chocolate which was fine but i&rsquo
• The food is well competitively priced and the staff was busy but courteous
