  • Queued almost 1.5 hours to be served what I would say was a very basic fare

  • My Indian palate was pretty much bored with the overload of fish and chips and also tired adjusting to the lack of spice in food

  • Always there to cater to your needs with a smile on their faces

  • The dishes are a bit on the pricier side

  • What surprisingly lacked in their menu was lack of lamb dishes in the main course

  • Most amazing dal makhani in London Pav bhaji is good too you even get thums up here great ambiance excellent food

  • Must say one of the best place to ve indian food in london

  • Tried many places all over euro bt this is the best place

  • All of these are a must try if you&rsquo

  • My personal favourite was the Keema Per Eedu which is Keema served with buns and fried eggs with Bun Maska obviously

  • The 45 50 mins queue prior to entering the restaurant was really worth it as the following food and ambience was awesome

  • In the queue we were served some hot chai and fresh mint tea which really helped in the cold atmosphere here in London

  • One drawback was that someone has to be part of the queue at all times therefore you can't just leave a phone number and wait for a call

  • The cuisine is reasonably authentic and is not completely stepping out of the Indian food I was longing to eat

  • In fact the tea 'chai' was served in those traditional indian glasses you get at restaurants in India (only indians would understand)

  • A little food for thought here is that tourists may find the food a little spicy honestly even I did

  • The location was perfect and its an overall brilliant experience

  • The ambience is jazzy modern elegant to say the least and by the time you're seated

  • You are completely in awe with the buzz and the place itself

  • The food was great though the chicken biryani was sadly slightly under the mark

  • It lacked the flavour I was expecting then again

  • A sign of a good biryani is a hint of the meat flavour in the rice but I could not taste this

  • The veg samosas were incredible

  • Flavour which was a very unique quality

  • The chilli cheese toast was delicious (the cheese was perhaps a smidge too strong) but the true beauties were the rummali rolls

  • The chicken was richly marinated and the flavouring shone through comfortably the finest kebab rolls I have tasted

  • The same can be said of the mutter paneer while the garlic naan was not too buttery

  • The bar is vast with a wide array of alcoholic drinks to offer

  • I myself only had a lasso which was well executed

  • Dishoom (Covent Garden) is one of the good Indian places in London

  • While waiting outside Dishoom (Covent Garden) we were offered chai in glasses which you normally find in small tea shops in india

  • The main course ordered the chole bathure and dal makhni with romali roti

  • The service is the best part of the experience I had at this restaurant

  • Typically restaurants with a lot of hype tend to disappoint you as they simply don't live up to the hype or you expect too much

  • The hype warrants the place as the food is simply superb

  • Very good service as well which is a surprise given how popular the place is

  • No wonder that there was waiting time when we reached as late as 2300 on a Friday night

  • We celebrated our half year of marriage together and it was a treat of sorts

  • May be our pallet is different considering we come from a place that has a considerable amount of restaurants serving such soul wrenching food

  • The food is tasty and fresh but quantity is less plus service is not extremely prompt

  • Wait compared to food was one of the reason for just an average rating

  • This time in London which is full of indian restaurants

  • Had pao bhajj and bhel puri which were really good

  • The only bad thing about Dishoom (Covent Garden) is that you will have to wait for an hour to get a table

  • Dishoom (Covent Garden) is a blessing in London

  • Love the Irani cafe vibe and this is probably the he best Indian you'll get in London

  • The best part is the tea they serve while you're waiting for your table in their queue

  • My goodness you will definitely not be disappointed with Dishoom (Covent Garden)

  • Dishoom comes with a high reputation as witnessed by the queues to get in

  • Prices for London are very reasonable but the dishes we had were good but not enough to make me want to return

  • Really Dishoom (Covent Garden) is a powerful punch to all

  • Must try and but booking a table in advance is highly recommended as waiting goes for as long as 30 mins here

  • I like their bacon naan wrap and chicken ruby along with berry pulao the most

  • Soft and paired really well with roasted tomato and toasted breed and relish

  • I had just arrived that very morning from Kolkata and it was our aunt&rsquo

  • I can see why it is so attractive to the locals and the local Indians

  • It is indeed a very close replica with a couple of modern twists

  • The starters we tried their okra fries which were really tasty and had good spices to it

  • It was not too oily which is good and we tried it with the 3 different kinds of chutneys served on the table

  • The drinks we tried their baileys chai and dark chocolate chai which was really awesome and is a must try

  • The main course we ordered chicken ruby (gravy) along with chicken biryani

  • Only challenge is place always has waiting queue &

  • Chicken tikka are must order items

  • By far the best Indian food I ever had and probably ever will

  • Had to queue for over 80 minutes but it was all so worth it

  • The okra fries are absolutely out of this world

  • The biryanis and curries are super good and the dessert is super weird yet amazing

  • The dessert is Kala Khatta and when I ordered it

  • The waiter asked me if I was sure of my order

  • The manager said that I was the 2nd person to like it in 3 years

  • Your trip to London is incomplete if you haven&rsquo

  • The feeling of home away from home is well satisfied at this establishment

  • Keema Pau and the Chicken Berry Britannia Biryani are a must have

  • Satisfy your sweet tooth with some Malai Kulfi at the end to finish of one of the finest Indian food experience in London

  • I've been here as part of my anniversary dinner and though I was bit skeptical after reading about long queues

  • I would say that I'm completely pleased with my decision to go for this restaurant

  • We were quickly greeted by the server and told that the wait time is around 1 hour

  • Hot tea and mint tea were being offered in small glasses (the ones we see on a stall in India) free of charge

  • Was quite helpful with the the cold weather

  • After about 20 minutes we were at the entrance and we were told to go and wait in the bar area downstairs

  • 30 PM) the restaurant was quite alive and lot of chatter was going around

  • The decoration was going with the theme

  • I found that it was bit crowded and there was lesser space between tables

  • Waiter informed us that the table is ready for us

  • Most of the dishes were quite clear to us but it is a nice touch for people who don't understand or have little knowledge about Indian food

  • We ordered only vegetarian food and there were lot of options in the menu

  • We started with Paneer Tikka and Pau Bhaji

  • Black dal of Dishoom (Covent Garden) is a must try and I would suggest it to everyone who eats here

  • Jack fruit biryani was very tasty as well

  • Wait times are more but you get tables earlier then what is told at the door

  • The lassi was a disappointment the fennel was only used on top of the lassi for garnishing and not used as a flavour which we were expecting

  • Very popular among Indian community which is a good sign

  • 5/5 the waiters was super nice

  • Rib steak was delicious with yogurt salad

  • Paneer roll was crunchy enough

  • I Had Quite a Few Things Here And Everything was Really Good

  • Was nice to see such a huge Bombay restaurant with truly Iranian ambience

  • Paradise for Indians if your home flavours are making you home sick

  • We arrived little too late for their breakfast menu (which is great) so went ahead and ordered from their regular menu

  • They offered tea while we were waiting in the queue

  • Before same days I went there with my best friend

  • We enjoyed with paneer tikka

  • You can eat almost the best indian food here

  • Everything was super delicious

  • Chocolate pudding with spicy kashmiri ice cream and house dal were the best among our order

  • The waiters are very kind and helpful and the food is really tasty

  • The food and service both are just awesome

  • Even then all in all they are one of the best Indian restaurants

  • A little overpriced but still delicious yummy food with the right amount of spice

  • The sheekhe kebabs and vada pav were especially good

  • One of the best Indian places in London

  • Everything was good and the staff was polite

  • When is London Dishoom (Covent Garden) is a must visit for all the Indian specially

  • Okra Fries were the best of all

  • The food was sooooo delicious and the staff was amazing too

  • First time experience with authentic Indian cuisine and all was good

  • The Black Dahl was superb and the spicy vegetables curry with bread amazing

  • My girlfriend and I were recently in London for a short holiday

  • We are avid foodies and I rate this as one of the best food experiences I&rsquo

  • The chicken curry and lamb biryani was out of this world and I genuinely can&rsquo

  • There is a reason there are always queues outside of this restaurant but it is well worth the wait

  • You will find tasty food with great flavours

  • It gives nostalgic feeling with food full of spices

  • Panner dishes along with naan are highly recommended

  • Also prior reservation is must otherwise you can end up on huge queue

  • I really like dishoom but making you queue is just annoying

  • T think the quality is good enough to warrant standing in a queue for an hour or two

  • There are a number of places where the type and standard of food is just as good without queuing

  • Ve been to Dishoom number of times and is in love with the kind of ambience they have and the quality of food they serve

  • Just that their serving quality is little less

  • Everything was nice except the Paneer Mutter vegetable

  • Its tasted stale and filled with preservatives

  • Quality of vegetables is better in India than in England

  • It had a long queue which was expected but food was not over the top like other reviews said

  • By far the best high end Indian food I&rsquo

  • My own experience was pretty okay okay

  • T that spicy as per the Indian tastebud standards but their Biryani was quite good

  • The staffs are really good and makes you feel happy even when you waiting in a que

  • Coupled with food that strikes a cord with every Indian that crosses the majestic doorway

  • The Lamb and Vegetable Samosas are served with a side of Mint

  • The perfect combination for the savoury stuffed flaky pastry to contrast with the sourness of the dipping sauces

  • The Okra fries marinated with traditional blends of Indian spices are little munchies that kids seem to wipe off plates in no time

  • Made from lamb mince that is slowly stewed in a mixture of flavoursome spices

  • The Keema is a smooth curry that is scooped up in freshly baked buns toasted with Desi Ghee

  • The Butter Chicken and the lamb chops are really good

  • Experience the best of Indian cuisine in London

  • Relished the close to heart Indian flavours with lot of positive Indian vibes at Dishoom (Covent Garden)

  • Loved the decor and most importantly in love with this Indian food

  • We ordered masala chai served in iconic railway glasses with the perfect hit of ginger with cloves and cardomom

  • The food was so yummy and the chicken was buttery and smooth

  • The place and the food is worth it the cost

  • Best Indian restaurant with Kenyan fusion

  • The breakfast naans are filling but not overly heavy

  • The fire toast is also a nice addition

  • We went to Dishoom for brunch and were seated almost immediately

  • I had the Akuri eggs which was spiced scrambled eggs (supposedly 3 eggs but highly doubt this unless the eggs were really small) served with soft buns and a grilled tomato

  • Especially when washed down with a cup of sweet thick chai

  • It's easy to see why this is a Dishoom classic

  • Visited Dishoom for dinner yesterday and it being Saturday night was welcomed with a 1.5 hr wait in the queue

  • The pav bhaji is creamy and I cannot explain the joy of eating pav after a long time in London

  • Not exactly the way they are made traditionally

  • The star of the evening are the okra fries

  • We wash it all down with nimbu paani and good old Thums up

  • The gulab jamun is soft and nice but the kulfi clearly steals the show

  • The service is great and it is really commendable the way they handle the crowd

  • To getting tea in the line to the incredible food inside it was all amazing

  • I ate a vegetarian chickpea dish which was served with puri and halva

  • The chickpeas by themselves were sweet and delicious

  • Altogether was a flavour bomb inside your mouth

  • Next to the bar and the stairs was a bit too much

  • He chickpeas by themselves were sweet and delicious

  • Went there during holi time and was feeling so festive

  • Very crowded place snd it is very noisy but the food was ok

  • The thing I liked was the fact that dishes were as spicy as you would get in India and not optimised that much to suit local palate

  • The daal and they were mouthwatering level

  • My first time to try indian food and I was amazed with the rich flavours

  • Chicken tica roll which was a bit spicy and chicken biryani

  • A quick dash from Leicester Square and you join a long queue where you are served by pleasant and willing staff hot chai

  • The mutton samosas followed by the Crispy okra is just the right starters to dig into the chicken ruby and the biryani and

  • Sitting there you feel you are in a mumbai cafe

  • The wait time in the queue was over 2 hours

  • I had my 19 month old son with me and they quickly got his food so I was able to feed him first

  • It was perfect Indian restaurant and with innovatives names of the cuisine we tried kejriwal which was not named after the leader of AAP THE common party

  • They offer a great Indian cuisine with some unique styles

  • The ambience too is great and fab

  • Everything about Dishoom (Covent Garden) is amazing except the waiting queue
