The Riding House Cafe (Fitzrovia)

• They are always fully booked over the weekend so best to book in advance or if you&rsquo
• They would run out of the Lobster lasagne (clearly a favourite) so I was glad to finally try it
• Riding House Cafe was always on my radar
• The first sign of a good brunch establishment is coffee my Iced Americano hit the spot
• I asked for a custom off the menu dish and the staff were only too happy to oblige two poached eggs
• My friend and I shared a side of pancakes which were simply divine
• Especially on the weekends when one is too lazy to get out of bed
• I had just flown into London so all I needed was a nice welcome greeting from the London food scene
• It was Saturday and the sun was still out so I thought to myself "
• I went on a nice walk from chaotic Oxford Circus to calm Thitchfield road and before I knew it I was in the restuarant waiting for FK to arrive
• Unfortunately she was running late so I had a lot of time to observe the restuarant decor and the people around me which is always a fun to do
• The restuarant ambience was very lively and had just the right level of background noise
• The restaurant atmosphere is also dynamic in the sense that it suits different occasions
• I could tell because there were groups of all kinds
• Time flew by and FK arrived so it was time to eat
• I decided to start with the small Lobster Benedict
• This starter was pleasant but
• I liked how much better the dish tasted with lobster compared to traditionally putting ham
• The egg yolk gloriously poured onto the plate as I cut through the poached egg which is something I always look
• I believe this was the main downfall of this di
• Very crowded and the seats weren't nice while we were there on a saturday morning
• It's being out of the office at a working breakfast and the best place for a working breakfast has to be the Riding House Cafe on Great Titchfield Street
• You'll find tables filled with twentysomething media types brainstorming
• Networking and working on their big ideas and this day was no different
• In fact Abbey Clancey was being interviewed by a journo on the very table next to me
• The menu at the Riding House is pretty varied
• You can go for sweet or savoury depending on whether you fancy pancakes or eggs always a tough choice in my mind and they do really great smoothies which are served in milk bottles
• I opted for the avocado on toast with poached eggs but i can also vouch for the buttermilk pancakes
• The tapas style dishes are excellent and so well done
• Saw Billie Piper when I was dining there make of that what you will
• Unless you're dining with a bigger group
• Pillowy soft buttermilk pancakes come with maple syrup and fresh fruit
• The hollandaise sauce is creamy and thick
• Pancakes and French toast is phenomenal
• Love to work from there remotely and their cakes are pretty awesome too
• The place has a relaxed vibe with its overall decor seemingly designed to give punters a breather from the foot traffic hell of Oxford Street
• The space itself is massive with a bar area
• Great weekend breakfast spot with a pleasant ambience
• Coffee is awesome which is pleasantly surprising
• It was a Sunday morning and it was time for breakfast
• First on her list was an Australian place called Granger &
• In Notting Hill but it was an hour wait
• The place is nicely designed with a big sharing table in the middle of the restaurant
• Brunch here consisting of white hot chocolate with a shot of baileys was exceptional
• The peony tea was equally delicious
• The savoury eggs Benedict was the shinning star on top
• I finally booked a Saturday brunch (served 12 4pm) with a friend and was fortunately to book a slot a few days before
• The venue is very popular and there was a queue of people waiting for brunch so I was fortunate I hadn&rsquo
• The place is quite big with ample fresh light from the big windows
• Everything we ordered was good we had avacado on toast
• Chorizo hash brown with eggs and museli
• Chocolate banana smoothie was just above average
• One of the bucket list dishes for my trip to the UK was the classic beef wellington
• I recommend reserving a week in advance as we had to take the 930 am slot but it was quieter and the service was speedy so I didn't mind the early breakfast
• Enjoyed a freebie salad with pomegranate mint cashew feta and halloumi absolutely delicious
• We were four and went for the avocado toast with poached eggs and my partner went for the scrambled eggs on toast
• Overall it was average nothing to scream about and for me personally there is better places in London then this for breakfast
• Everything including tea was wrongly served
• Pancakes was the best of the restaurant
• I read about The Riding House Cafe (Fitzrovia) being famous for its pancakes and I must say they are yummy amd crunchy
• The eggs benedict and avocado toast were good as well but the mini pastries are not yummy
• Went here for quick breakfast and was surprised with the overflowing crowd
• The staffs were friendly and orders were quickly served
• I had their eggs with fata cheese and French toast which both were really good served fast with no delay and the stuff were super friendly
• The avocado benedict was not to my liking
• The bartenders are too efficient to help you
• I was warned that lunch with a 2 year old can be an enlightening experience
• The problem was that she wouldn&rsquo
• So my attempts to engage were thoroughly and completely ignored
• Really felt like a good brunch and The Riding House Cafe (Fitzrovia) was highly recommended
