Great place to sit with a few friends and enjoy a selection of the street food dishes with a few drinks
-
Great atmosphere with a good buzz
-
Not tried any of the deserts yet (they do look excellent) but there are plenty of small ice cream parlours in the area for a quick one afterwards
-
Wahaca (Covent Garden) is a blessing for vegetarians
-
Their food is generally great across the board
-
The drinks are pretty good too
-
The only bugbear is the exasperatingly long waiting time
-
The restaurant is somewhere I visit often with family and friends
-
I was very eager to try them so was excited to pay a visit to the Covent Garden branch last Thursday night
-
My diner and I started with a Margarita and a Pacifico while we perused the new menu
-
The Chicken Tinga was smoky and had quite a kick with the chipotle adobo sauce and the Cactus Taco was sweet from the cactus
-
The Summery New Potato Taquitos were delicious and the potato really melted in your mouth and worked well with the crunch of the taco
-
The Chicken Taquitos is a favourite of mine and is similar to the new potato topped with shredded lettuce
-
Cheese and fresh tomato salsa but with really tender
-
The star of the dishes on the night was definitely the Broad Bean &
-
Feta and mint with broad beans and new potatoes was mouthwateringly amazing
-
Just writing this is making me want to have another one right now
-
Onion and garlic was extremely tasty
-
The sweet potato was almost like pudding
-
Is a buttery pancake topped with vanilla ice cream
-
Dulce de leche and sprinkled with caramelised peanuts
-
I am more of a savoury than a sweet person and this was perfect for me as it wasn&rsquo
-
The new menu is as wonderful as the old menu and Wahaca remains somewhere that I will be returning to time and time again
-
It is remarkably reasonable and the service is always attentive and quick
-
They are opening a pop up on the South Bank this summer along with a Breakfast Bar and Market Store and I cannot wait to try both
-
A perfect place to head with your friends
-
Since the entire sitting area was downstairs
-
Finger licking good food with friends in a &lsquo
-
The steak taco was quite bland in comparison to the other dishes we had
-
The cheviche was beautiful if you like seafood definitely try it
-
The food tasted lovely although I wish the portions were a bit bigger
-
We ended the meal with some churros although I wasn't a fan
-
It tasted really oily and the chocolate sauce that came with it wasn't thick enough
-
I've always been hesitant to visit Wahaca as it seems like a cheese less Mexican chain and let's face it nobody is disappointed with a layer of melted
-
Getting our food orders/deliveries for the rest of the meal was somewhat slow
-
Lots of little sharing plates and nibbles which is quite nice on a date
-
Margharitas are delicious with the right amount of salty kick to them
-
Decked out with green palm trees and a yellow and blue interior to mimic a horizon
-
I can safely say they were so filling I could hardly finish them
-
The restaurant was too busy for a relaxed meal
-
I ordered the fish tacos which were plump and lightly battered and fried a plus for me
-
The cabbage slaw filling was delectable
-
Though the cheese was a bit strong for me
-
My dining companions and I polished off our dinners with two orders of churros (greedy
-
Visited here with a friend and really enjoyed the food
-
The free chilli seeds to take home and plant are a really nice touch
-
The service is fast and efficient
-
The Mexican chocolate tart was hard as a rock and there was no hint of chilli
-
The tres leche cake was stodgy and dry
-
If you are a burrito fan then you should definitely try the burrito here as they are bursting at the seams with flavour
-
Wine or have a couple of cocktails on the menu if you are after something to have with your dinner
-
Staff are always really friendly and have electronic note pads so your order is sent straight to the kitchen
-
It also has a cool decor with colour wall decorations and lights hanging from the ceiling
-
Told we would have to wait 20/30 minutes but we were seated within 10
-
I went here in the afternoon and it was not very busy
-
Relaxing ambience staff very Friendly will be coming here again with family and friends great for any occasion
-
The experience was out of the world
-
Loved the tacos and everything that we ordered the ingredients were very fresh and loved the mix of all of the components
-
The flavours are wisely combined and the food is very fresh
-
The ambience is awesome and the waiters are polite and helpful
-
The variety of the food at wahaca is just phenomenal
-
Being a vegetarian isn't easy when it comes to eating out but the Wahaca experience was an exception to this
-
The Mexican food here was so good that I returned to try their menu time and again
-
If the quality is anywhere similar to what the real Mexican food is like
-
The beef itself was so over cooked to a point that it tasted like rubber
-
Chicken taquitos were also underwhelming
-
Wahaca's cooking is far too standard for my liking and at that kind of price (£
-
Its very nice decor and very friendly service and the street food served nicely but some of them are lack of flavour
-
One of the best Mexican restaurants in London
-
Even though it is in one of the busiest areas
-
The quesadillas (especially chicken) are a must have
-
The burritos are a complete meal so order wisely
-
The portions were a bit small considering the prices
-
The ambience was great but the seating arrangement was a little squashy
-
In this country all too often Mexican restaurants are associated with big group parties
-
When Wahaca burst onto the scene it set about to change all that with its Mexican Street food menu
-
Tortilla chips with tomato salsa for nibbles
-
A special guava drink (with tequila) was on the table menu which I do not remember but was really good
-
Comes in a tortilla bowl and the marinated chicken and both were really good
-
I literally came back from NZ to eat Wahaca and was a bit let down this time the Soho branch has dropped the ball slightly
-
30 pm (late by London restaurant standards) and were welcomed with warm smiles
-
We ordered the frijoles with chorizo and a slow roasted pork burrito pumped up with cheese and a few other toppings
-
It was refreshing with just the right zing of chilli
-
Good food option if you are down in the area for theatre time
-
Definitely the best one in the group i have been to so far
-
We sat outside and it was a very pleasant and satisfying dinner
