I am hesitant to write a review on Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) as I feel it is my little secret
-
People don't seem to know about this hidden gem that is smack bang in central London
-
Tokyo Diner is a very tiny
-
Very reasonable and good quality with charming staff and prompt service
-
The meal started with a light and yet rich Miso Shiru
-
Everything was pretty damn good
-
Everything was really nice
-
I had a very very tasty soup in a cozy atmosphere with a fantastic service
-
My only issue is the size of the restaurant
-
We tried the Nigiri Set with a side of Wakame Green Salad and Aubergine Age Bitashi
-
All of which were really great
-
The Aubergine was something I had not tried before
-
Friendly and fast staff and a deep feeling that you are not in London anymore
-
Flavourful and with a smooth texture
-
All the donburi are fulfilling and delicious
-
The curries are to die for and with the lunch sets
-
Every dish is a feast that will leave you satisfied
-
The service was great and they were very friendly
-
I recently visited Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) after a long time and was in for a shock
-
The ambience is just fine but the staff behaviour is quite bad
-
The staff is rude and ill mannered which is a shameful thing for a restaurant of this stature
-
The service is horrifying
-
The only positive thing that i can think about Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is probably its service
-
Other than that the Japanese food offered here is barely average and in fact the lowest quality of this cuisine i have had the chance to taste
-
All those people who are fans of Japanese cuisine i suggest you to utterly give Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) a miss
-
The Tokyo Diner is a good place to dine out and will always leave you feeling content
-
The food served here is sumptuous and extremely pocket friendly
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is great if you want to grab a quick bite while enjoying a luxurious and calm environment
-
I recently tried this Japanese place and was quite impressed with it
-
The snacks were delicious and as was the Japanese green tea
-
I am the kind of person who is not easily impressed by the restaurant serving just good food
-
Even though the owners of Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) seems to be English but they still they are doing justice to their food
-
Worth a visit as it is very reasonably priced
-
The food quantity is decreasing on quite a good rate and the quality is also going down
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is becoming more expensive
-
Even though the standards are going down
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is your answer to a not so well planned date or a spontaneous plan with friends
-
The service here is mostly consistent and so is the food
-
A point to be noted here is that Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) never leaves you disappointed
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is busy but never chaotic
-
I came here often when I was studying in the city and found it to be amazing
-
The chicken bento is something I recommend to everyone for its amazing taste
-
The katsudon is absolutely delightful
-
Every item is refreshing and full of flavours without being too pretentious
-
The waiting time can get a bit tedious later in the day but the staff is quite efficient and amicable
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is highly recommended
-
The staff was not particularly impressive with the most of the waiters being rather unfriendly or cold and unprofessional
-
The food in my opinion is then again quite like the ones served in a canteen
-
They are pretty comforting and taste authentic and traditional but are not that extra ordinary at all
-
I've been to Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) a couple of times with friends and am thoroughly impressed by the friendliness of their service and the fabulous taste of their food
-
The food is authentic Japanese and is quite affordable as well
-
Among the dishes that I really admire are their Pork Katsu bento
-
Especially the katsu curry which was cooked to perfection
-
The ambience was great with beautiful decor and had an authentic feel to it
-
The service was pretty efficient as well
-
I ordered chicken katsu which was very well prepared
-
The restaurant has a diverse menu in Udon but not much variety is there in the Sashimi department
-
Especially the pork and noodles which were cooked to perfection
-
The service was pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is quite reasonable and thus
-
The food here is absolutely delightful
-
Noodles and sushi here are some of the dishes that you must try
-
The staff here is very quick
-
The food here is authentic Japanese food and the menu offers a huge list of amazing dishes
-
Both of which were brilliantly prepared and tasted absolutely delicious
-
The only negative point was the attitude of the owner
-
The food is not very reasonably priced as we were still hungry when we were leaving the restaurant
-
The portions are not that big
-
The service was pretty efficient
-
The ambience was great with beautiful decor and pretty comfortable seating
-
The complimentary tea and rice crackers were served quickly
-
My bento arrived with a lid which I thought was super cute
-
It was a little on the dry side but that was helped with the tonkatsu sauce
-
Bigger portions are free at Tokyo Diner
-
What was interesting is that the menu actually advises eating sushi with your hand to get the actual flavour
-
So if you aren't very good with chopsticks have no fear
-
Tokyo Diner (Chinatown) is about as authentic as a cheap and cheerful restaurant on a Tokyo side street gets
-
1 off what are already very good value meals
-
It's still always very busy though waiting times for seating is not too bad
-
The restaurant itself has a very authentic Japanese feeling with Japanese staff and lots of Japanese decorations
-
The portion sizes are good and if you are especially hungry
-
I usually go for the Katsu curry which is on par with every other Katsu curry I've tried in the capital
-
The variety on the menu is good with different currys
-
Drinks are also reasonable with a good selection of Japanese alcohol and soft drinks as well as the usual affair
-
Tokyo Diner is a very satisfying experience
-
The quality is very good for the reasonable prices
-
Have some nice policies around the sustainable sourcing of ingredients which is why it doesn&rsquo
-
All money left on tables is donated to the homeless
-
All dishes are superb on the menu and one is spoiled for choice
-
Only thing is that a queue outside means long wait for delicious food
-
Everything was good but I loved Age Dashi
-
The Ton Katsu Dan was really something
-
It is a bowl of rice with breaded pork fillets and fried egg as well
-
Once seated we were served some hot tea before even ordering
