Thali & Pickles Indian Dining (Balham)

• Since their opening 2 month ago I have dined here over 6 times and was delighted every visit
• Their other branches Indian Moment and Indian Room are worth a visit too
• The first time I visited I opted for the Thali which is basically a set menu all on one plate
• One of the best I've had and the only let down was the dessert a very sweet yoghurt dish
• When I visited the second we decided to stick with the Al a carte not the thali
• The standout was the lamb chops they were sensational
• The decor and ambience was warm and pleasant
• The service was friendly although a little disorganised
• My favourites are the Saagwala and Murgh Jalfrezi
• I say appearance as they disappear quite quickly with the yummy pickles and chutneys
• A Jalebi is a beautiful orange crispy spiral of deep fried batter with saffron and a sweet syrupy coating
