Tenshi (Islington)

• My Teriyaki Chicken was delicious and eating sushi at my table have said as much
• Drinks the wine is very light but personally I recommend you an Asahi
• It's mostly the bottle that is worth seeing
• Price level is reasonable
• 10 per person (excluding drinks service) which is quite reasonable
• The staff and the setting are typically made ​​in japan
• Could have more sauce for the rice but was very tasty all the same

• Pumpkin croquettes with Japanese curry and rice served in a very generous portion size as you can see

• My friend N and I were meeting after a really long time and had loads to catch up on
• So being seated in a tiny restaurant with hardly any space between tables I had my doubts
• I must say that the food was so marvellously tasty and the service so good
• The place was Tenshi and boasted both outdoor tables and indoor booths in an intimate cafe style environment with an open kitchen
• It was encouraging though to see that the majority of the servers are Asian as that is usually a good indication of the quality of food
• Ate her fill with a happy smile
• I decided to go with the chicken teriyaki and ordered a side of rice
• Hearty and filling portion but a bit too grizzly which isn't easy with just chopsticks to use
• The cup was small as is common but it was only 1/2 full which I found disappointing
• The servers were sweet but made several large mistakes on the bill that we thankfully caught before paying the cheque
• Food was decent but perhaps my choice was bland and not exciting enough
• To eat I ordered chicken gyoza and cold soba noodles with mixed tempura
• The tempura batter is fairly good in that it was light but tasted a tad bland
• Their sushi are pretty good but I've especially liked their Gyudon and Chirashi sushi Donbury
• They use great quality fish and their prices are totally reasonable
• On the weekend or in the evenings there is often a long line out the restaurant and you end up waiting a long time which is annoying
• The service is pretty quick so even if you've waited to get in
• Though the restaurant is (very) small
• It's presented in a box with a variety of sides
• The Japanese decor adds to the intimacy of the place and the staff were friendly and quick to deliver the food
• The tuna maki included in our sushi platter was literally bleeding into the rice
• Try get a seat outside as the restaurant is rather small and cramped
• There was a substitution I was willing to accept
• Given the issue was on Tenshi's side and I was already waiting for the order
• I was taken here for dinner as I was recommended to try the agadeshi tofu here
• I took my time with the sushi and let the crispy skin on the tofu absorb the sauce
• Would definitely come back here again but do note it is quite a small place so can get busy
• I tend to go for their set bento menu with pork katsu
• The croquettes were big and delightful too
• From my point of view it is a positive opinion in order to get better
• The truth is that only improve those who are willing to listen
• Not so for those who believe they know everything and are airtight thinking that everything they do skims the unattainable perfection and no one can say otherwise
