  • Afternoon tea at the Ritz is the worst of London's grand hotels

  • After an hour tables were being cleared for next service and we were prompted with our bill

  • Far better places to go unless Ritz name is your thing

  • I visited Ritz and he whole experience was amazing a total 5 star kind

  • The afternoon was out of this world

  • Presentation was awesome to say the least

  • The doormen were like really polite and so friendly

  • Thank you so much for the best afternoon ever

  • Fortunately this was not the case here

  • The lowest price is around £

  • The bottle of Marlborough Pinor Noir we ordered was delightful

  • That the set lunch was very good indeed

  • So by going down that route you really are not slumming it

  • We were quite happy to just go with a jug of tap water (admittedly a silver plated one)

  • The amuse bouche was served in a Champagne glass and we chose some rather nice bacon flavoured home made bread

  • The set lunch menu was certainly enticing

  • Delivered under cloches and revealed with some theatre

  • The Chestnut Souffle with Rum ice cream

  • We did not order coffee but were still presented with what I can honestly say were the best selection of petit fours I have had in a restaurant for a long time

  • So in summary although the food is not cutting edge by any means

  • Everything was uniformly excellent and that is a rarity even in the best of restaurants

  • The team room is pure glamour high ceilings

  • Husband and I are at their 7

  • We start off with Tea Orange Pekoe with a side of champers for Husband &

  • The sandwiches are chicken mayo

  • Smoked salmon were definite favourites and we cheekily took advantage of a few helpings of those

  • It wasn't just that they were warm and soft and melt in the mouth I can't even explain they were perfectly formed rounds of goodness

  • The dessert plate came with macaroons (Half Lemon &

  • Half Blueberry with a white choc center)

  • The trolley came around with Strawberry trifle and a choice of Black Forest cake and Lemon Drizzle

  • It's easy to see why the Ritz is largely seen as the 'place for tea'

  • It's glamorous with a touch of old fashioned class and charm

  • This meal began with a few nibbles including unusually light and fluffy cheese gougeres

  • The first course was a mosaic of game

  • Delicately cooked and served with cauliflower and spiced apple

  • The langoustine was palpably fresh

  • The only slight flaw was the cauliflower crisp was a little soggy

  • Truffled egg was served on a pomme puree with spinach and a garnish of white truffle

  • The potato was smooth and buttery

  • A generous slab of turbot from a large fish was served with pumpkin

  • Apple parfait with vanilla and calvados ice cream was excellent

  • Finally a classic Mont Blanc with caramelised pear completed the meal

  • Even with a packed dining room dishes appeared and were removed at a steady pace

  • Though there is a three course menu available at £

  • Chocolate and hazelnut ice bombe with hazelnut daquiose and feullatine

  • Shaped chocolate curls were as fragile as a house of cards

  • We were led back up to the splendour of the hotel and into the restaurant for lunch where we would be presented with the very same bombe for our dessert

  • Gently poached fish daintily embellished with dots of roe atop a beetroot smear that wouldn&rsquo

  • Our sommelier for lunch put us at ease with no wine babble

  • We fell in love with the red wine from Bordeaux &ndash

  • Next was Loin of lamb with a herb crust

  • I am not normally a fan of lamb but this was really good

  • The herb crust was exactly that

  • Of course dessert was our Chocolate and hazelnut bombe masterpiece

  • E Champagne and with dishes expertly carved or filleted in front of your very eyes

  • A silver tray of petit fours including macarons and gorgeous raspberry topped cakes complete with a teeny &lsquo

  • We always write with complete honesty

  • The Ritz Restaurant makes you feel like in wonderland with its chandeliers and perfect high ceilings

  • It is the best place for a formal occasion with family and friends

  • I chose crepes suzette which are meant to be shared by two people and they will be prepared for you at the table

  • The restaurant is obviously expensive and you should expect to spend a minimum of 150 £

  • The tea served in the silver teapots were constantly being refilled and so as the sandwiches

  • On Sunday evening we went to The Ritz for a celebration dinner and I can hands down say that it was the best dining experience I&rsquo

  • The interior of the dining room is flawless and truly has a wow factor

  • We were brought bread to start with followed by canapé

  • Whoever came up with the macaroon is a genius because it was such a creative and tasty little invention &ndash

  • The texture was like sashimi and it was served with Cucumber and Lemon Crè

  • The pate was starter was also delicious

  • The way the dishes were served and lids were lifted up all together was very nice and traditional

  • The lamb was served with Herb Crust

  • Was made very nicely but was the only dish that didn&rsquo

  • If you are looking for afternoon tea then you must give The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) a visit else there is nothing special about The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair)

  • You won't be having any fine dining experience and the service is also not that good

  • I already did my research for The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) and i knew in advance that The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) is quite expensive

  • I was ready to spend that much as it was my nana's birthday

  • I visited The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) while I was travelling in the neighbourhood

  • The management was kind enough to lend us some clothes

  • The ambiance is very good here

  • The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) is very beautiful

  • These guys serve you different types of teas and that is a good change if you do not like coffee much (like me)

  • The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) is worth a visit

  • My time spent at this restaurant was absolutely delightful

  • The ambiance is so amazing that you could sit in there forever

  • Did not fail to amaze you with every bite with its delicate flavours

  • We noticed that we were served our courses only after the two tables beside us had been served completely

  • The only reason I could fathom for this was that my partner is Chinese

  • I am very upset with this kind of prejudice

  • I went to this restaurant for a three course meal and the prices charged for it were in a fairly reasonable range

  • The quality of food was good but I must say that there are other restaurants serving better quality of food when compared to The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair)

  • Love place with wonderful food and equally classy service

  • The ambiance is great for a private dinner

  • The setting is quite elegant and the music soothing

  • We decided to dine here when we were in the city recently

  • The interiors were decorated exceptionally well and the atmosphere was just as beautiful as it should be

  • The music at both the venues was quite enchanting and seemed to suit the ambiance well

  • We opted for some expensive champagne and a three course meal which were delectable and well cooked

  • A nice place with an old time charm

  • The atmosphere is enjoyable and the live entertainment program is wonderful

  • The set menu is good value for money

  • Everything was easy and convenient

  • If you're a foodie and you love to visit new places with amazing ambiance and great environment then you definitely have to check The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) out

  • Presentation of the food was top notch and not at all messy

  • I have not had such a good experience of fine dining before it where everything was in perfect sync

  • The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) is quite popular but after my experience

  • The oysters were a disaster

  • The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) is not worth it

  • They provide you the best meal from the best staff and you can have that in most beautiful surrounding

  • The ambience is splendid and enticing

  • Service at The Ritz Restaurant (Mayfair) is also pleasing and attentive

  • We had Lobster which was cooked really well

  • There was an array of menu choices along with paid entertainment but that was worth it

  • Enjoying such delicious food along with great dance and music is actually a bliss

  • The food was really in line with the opulent surroundings and a lot better than various five star meals you would have had somewhere else

  • The food is too less to satiate one's appetite and to top it it is very expensive

  • If only they strike a balance with portion size and pricing

  • The service is pretty efficient and I would have preferred had they been a little more warm and friendly

  • The ambience was quite nice but the space is small and thus

  • The service was pretty efficient

  • The staff was warm and quite friendly and made sure that we were completely comfortable

  • The area is quite big and the ambience is wonderful with beautiful decor

  • There was an arrangement of a band performance which was just awesome

  • The dining room of the Ritz is probably one of the most beautiful dining rooms I've ever seen

  • Windows are floor to ceiling with heavily draped curtains

  • Hanging from the painted ceiling are garland chandeliers so that you feel you're sitting under a sky of stars

  • The table is of course beautifully set with a silver tray for the salt and pepper

  • The plates are a beautiful bluish green colour with gold edging and a Ritz stamp on them

  • What actually makes the Ritz so amazing is the ambiance

  • The floor plan and seating is sophisticated and comfortable

  • You really feel like you have to put your best foot forward to go here because they certainly do

  • We went to this restaurant especially for breakfast as we were recommended by a friend

  • We went to The Ritz for dinner a while back for celebratory dinner and I can hands down say that it was the best dining experience I&rsquo

  • I would describe The Ritz as a dollhouse/fairytale palace there is something so regal about the whole place

  • The menu looked like any other restaurant menu and I thought this was yet another place you pay for the atmosphere

  • My colleagues took me to this beautiful place for the birthday dinner and it was the best birthday dinner

  • We were warmly welcomed by the staff and we were treated royally

  • Ending our dinner with chocolate delice

  • I entirely ignore the fact that I am a middle aged woman with a fondness for champagne

  • It is not of course cheap but i think it is worth of it

  • If it wasn't for the way people were dressed and the cameras and phones everywhere

  • You could easily have believed you were in an era where the monarch was a King and the party in power were the Liberals

  • The quiche was kind of cold and hard

  • I would come back for dinner sometimes but for breakfast it is passable unless I want to enjoy the decor and the service

  • Also the plates and cutleries were really luxurious

  • The waiter who served us was so nice and charming

  • My lamb main course was perfectly fine cooked just right as I like it and wonderfully presented

  • 1) the souffle dessert was way too sweet for my taste so that I couldn't even finish it

  • 2) the prices for wines by the glass are simply extreme

  • 15 30+ for a 175ml glass is just too much

  • The whole reason I blog is to share fun experiences that I&rsquo

  • Expect treatment like you are nothing but royalty ☺️ Glass chandeliers

  • A massive grand piano are small examples of the things you'd find at The Ritz

  • My wife and I had a truly amazing lunch we were made to feel welcome and special

  • Food and ambience was perfect we would not hesitate in recommending the Ritz

  • The toilets are still called powder rooms

  • The dining room is magnificent

  • Me the highlight of the meal was the grouse

  • The high tea is what the English truly love and stand

  • The array of teas offered was simply unique and delightful

  • The accompaniments with the tea were some delicious pastries

  • The polished butlers and servers who engaged with us in the most pleasant manner all gave us a truly lasting experience of the quintessential afternoon must do in the British atypical day

  • I felt like I was in a movie
