  • The Wolseley is incredibly fancy

  • It felt good passing through the throngs of peasants wanting to eat but with no reservation

  • I wanted to have Sunday lunch with my mum and I thought of no place else more appropriate than the Wolseley

  • This restaurant is located right next to the Ritz hotel so the minute I entered

  • It turns out that was just a silly excuse to seat in us in a crap table as a sort of punishment for not respecting the institution of reservations

  • The atmosphere gave off a very old and classic vibe with all the gold and black finishings on the walls and tables

  • Afternoon tea at the Wolseley is slightly different for not only do they serve (with some aplomb) the traditional high tea sandwiches

  • I plumped for a double London rarebit a typical melted cheese rarebit on two large hunks of bread but with the addition of poached eggs

  • To accompany it I chose fresh mint tea and a classic Negroni I was feeling a little decadent

  • They have very similar menus but the dining room at the Delaunay is just that much more relaxed

  • My recommendation is that you do both

  • I love The Wolseley (Mayfair) the atmosphere is fantastic there's always a buzz and the service is always the best

  • All the cakes are on display for us to choose

  • Both extremely Moorish but not the best cakes I've ever had

  • Maybe because it was originally built in 1921 as an exotic car dealership for the wealthy

  • The food and service has always been the upmost quality and the service is impeccable

  • The Wolseley (Mayfair) is highly recommended if you really want to dine the London way

  • The Wolseley is an all day Grand European café

  • Created by Chris Corbin and Jeremy King who were behind the renewed fame and success of Le Caprice

  • Dinner was decent but it was very noisy and cramped

  • I finally went for Afternoon Tea with a friend recently and thankfully was as good as I hoped

  • It can get bit noisy but still the location is worth a visit if you live in London or just visiting

  • The atmosphere is light hearted and buzzing

  • Waiters are friendly and aren't afraid of having a jolly with their customers

  • The Wolseley is particularly good for steak and seafood

  • Hazelnut and nougat ice cream are drizzled with whipped cream and a butterscotch sauce

  • I was in London for a short holiday with my husband and decided to try The Wolseley

  • The food and drinks are on the pricey end

  • The decor of the place is grand but yes it is a bit noisy because they're always fully booked so make sure you book a table

  • I had the roast chicken with some side dishes

  • My friend had their chicken soup which is the best soup that I had in years

  • Oh I also had their Appel strudel which was super yummy

  • A lot of people asked us if we were going to enjoy afternoon tea while we were in London

  • Then I looked up the best places for afternoon tea (The Ritz

  • The Savoy) and I was astounded by what the best afternoon teas cost (40~55 GBP per person

  • The Wolseley is the place to be

  • The soles we had for main were amazing as well

  • To make sure we were not able to walk anymore but roll our belly down the road

  • Even if you are not able to make it for diner

  • This restaurant is situated near the ritz in Mayfair and is as glitzy and busy as its posh companion

  • The menu is European with a French influence and has a large choice of meat and fish

  • Unfortunately we had some problems with our service and meals not arriving as ordered but the manager dealt with the issues well and discounted the bill accordingly

  • Lovely restaurant with good ambience

  • Dinner and even breakfast but I had guests in town and decided to take them to high tea as it is a more affordable option in London compared to most hotel afternoon teas priced over £

  • The scones were delicious and the pastries were good

  • There are days and there are days&hellip

  • Came attached with plenty of goodwill towards me as a good customer

  • The bad grace in which this was eventually accepted after several visits to the shop and some heavy negotiation on my part

  • She could not do business with someone like me

  • Off I trotted with two spare cupboard knobs I didn&rsquo

  • I guess it is just that the place is really grand and everything looks pretty

  • The ambiance is really nice

  • I requested for soft boiled but it came hard boiled egg white with just the center a bit soft

  • The bread sticks that came with it werent bad

  • The hollandaise sauce's mayonaise taste was pretty prevalent

  • The muffin was hard to slice

  • Crispy Bacon Roll with Fried Egg 2/5

  • Traditional European cafe in Mayfair that is bound to impress

  • The waiters are dressed in vests to go with the china and silverware

  • I had chicken soup with a meat sandwich

  • The blend of meat with the cucumber relish is just amazing

  • What you don't expect is the taste and crunch of the vegetables

  • The salad nicoise was fresh and light

  • The apple is tart and blends perfectly with the creme chantilly

  • The tea room is very spacious and resembles the traditional tea rooms

  • The Wolseley tea menu is absolutely worth it

  • Tradicional french pastries and one of the best scones I've ever tried

  • Arnold bennett omelette and the wolseley fishcake with egg benedict

  • I did like that it was such a nice assortment of baked goods

  • My favourite was the arnold bennett omelette

  • Creamy and comforting with generous chunks of fish and sharp parmesan

  • One of the more famous dishes here is the wolseley fishcake which is a breaded smoked haddock fishcake with a poached egg and hollandaise sauce

  • I thought the fishcake was a little dry

  • Eggs benedict with salmon or with fish cake

  • We had the fish cakes and poached eggs which were really good

  • The fish cakes were really tasty

  • I had the deviled kidneys with crispy bacon oh yes they hit the spot

  • I would highly recommend you to have a breakfast here with some of the finer London folk LOL

  • Such a charming restaurant with lots of lovely interiors

  • I think The Wolseley (Mayfair) is a must for breakfast

  • The setting the food is something to enjoy

  • A great space with good ambiance

  • I know it doesn't sound too glamorous till you get down there yourself and feel the old Victorian magic of London with there out of the world amazing tea and lots to eat

  • High ceiling with hanging chandelier and black and white tiled floor gave it a very royal feel

  • Afternoon tea is jaw dropping and a collective 'Oooooh' when they bring out the tower of sandwiches

  • Avocado Croustade is a must try here which is unique and really delicious

  • Ebb Benedict and pancakes were amazing with fresh fruits

  • The atmosphere was buzzed and the service was exceptional

  • A must try place in London to experience the very traditional English afternoon tea which is so royal in experience and taste ❤️

  • The Wolseley is a beautiful dining space with high ceilings and decor that reminds me a lot of many New York dining halls

  • It's open late and all day and is hard to beat for a late dinner

  • Chopped liver (7/10) The chopped liver here is generously portioned

  • The presentation of the dish is as bare bones as you'll ever see

  • Matjes Herrings with pumpernicekl (6/10) The herrings are of good quality as is the bread

  • The bread crumb and the veal are one throughout your journey of this generously portioned schnitzel

  • I'd have to say the sausage was my favorite

  • I Love the first impression from the interior with high ceiling

  • With the Victorian chandeliers is a must experience place

  • Amazing ambiance great service but the best of them all were the desserts

  • It was the best cheesecake i had

  • The only cake I didn't like was the black forest gateau

  • The chocolate tart was extremely dense

  • Everything else were great but again I highly recommend the cheesecake

  • Looks like it is from 19th century

  • Visited here on Mother's day with the family

  • All the dishes were great especially enjoyed the avocado

  • The dressing was delicious and added that much more to a simple dish

  • Other diners were enjoying the high tea

  • We had scrambled eggs with Avocado and Mushroom

  • Poached eggs with Avocado and Mushroom

  • We will serve lunch in 30m but a European couple in front of me was welcomed with no questions

  • The service it self was great when they were there

  • Pistachio ice cream with the salted caramel sauce is incredible

  • I had one of the best experiences ever at The Wolseley

  • Entered a dimly lit cavernous space and was seated in the far corner in front of the bar

  • Our breakfast was the poached eggs with salmon and pancakes and it was literally the most mediocre breakfast I have ever had

  • Breakfast Club and The Ivy are far superior options for breakfast

  • Oyster and chicken with some dessert's

  • The sea food was appetizing and taste's good with a perfect French wine

  • Wine and service were all very good

  • The sandwiches and Scone tower was very impressive and delicious

  • The lemon Curd and preserves were very delicious and fresh

  • Served with a Sauvignon Blanc that was also a perfect

  • We then had a cheeseboard which was really really good

  • By far not the best breakfast in london

  • Was extremely excited to try it and the food was good just not the best breakfast in london

  • I ordered the pancakes which came out stone cold and my friend ordered the solider fingers the eggs were practically hard boiled

  • Whilst the eggs were fine my pancake was visibly burnt

  • This restrarent is best for casual dining and menu

  • You should manage to have the British tea experience and The Wolseley is a perfect place to enjoy your high tea

  • Reservation is recommended as The Wolseley (Mayfair) is almost always full

  • Chic stylish interiors with vintage silverware
