Le Caprice (Mayfair)

• Still arguably one of London's best restaurants
• The service is absolutely seamless
• The food was pleasant tasting but I didn't understand the lack of flow in the menu it was too diverse
• Service that is beyond compare
• A setting that is just the right side of the late 80s and beautiful food
• Le Caprice is part of Caprice holding
• A restaurant group with some high profile restaurants such as Ivy and J Sheekey
• Le Caprice is just a few minutes away on foot
• A basket of white and brown bread arrives with unsalted butter to die
• I choose the moules which are spectacularly good with a shallot and wild garlic sauce
• Dandelion salad with puy lentil dressing which is another winner
• A deep fishcake is packed with salmon and seasoned potato
• A chicken breast and leg is cooked perfectly
• Is lovely and moist with a char grilled skin
• Kale and a matchstick cup apple form the salad with toasted pecans
• A smiling concierge with a fine English hat welcomes you in
• At a glance you'd expect a pretentious setting but it is friendly here at La Caprice
• I started off with the salmon ceviche which came with a fried plantain
• The tuna steak was also on the dry side
