  • Perhaps the best fish dish I've ever eaten was at the The Red Fort in Soho

  • Full of flavour and with just a tad of spiciness

  • I've yet to encounter anything on a par with it anywhere else

  • In fact there is a great tradition in Britain of innovation in Indian cuisine and owner Amin Ali and his head chef Azadur Rahman are definitely a part of that

  • The brasserie food is very reasonably priced for the West End but the best dishes on the al la carte menu are not cheap

  • The decor is contemporary but with a bit of Mughal palace fretwork around the walls and the staff are attentive and accommodating

  • I was very impressed about how they have moved on with time and have excellent vegetarian option which my partner enjoyed thoroughly especially the veg kebab and veg Kofta

  • I have given up on local restaurants due to lack of service and same menus everywhere but this was definitely worth coming as it has a fab authentic taste

  • I doubt tandoori salmon to be a common staple in India but it was delicious indeed

  • The salmon was rubbed with ginger and garlic while the scallops had a fresh mint and curry sauce

  • I was very sad that lobster was not available on the day of our visit

  • Yet the one at the Red Fort was skillfully executed

  • A whole lamb shank was served to us in a clay pot

  • Simmered in a delicious curry with the tender meat falling of the bone

  • The true star of the meal for me was somehow surprisingly the vegetarian dish we ordered as a side

  • I personally believe it is worth every penny

  • The Red Fort is one of the best high end Indian restaurants in London

  • After a few cheeky Guinnei (plural of Guinness) our appetites were well and truly whetted

  • The interior didn't disappoint with clean straight lines of tables and square picture frames juxtaposed sharply against the soft rouge up lighting and glistening in panel waterfalls

  • The atmosphere was lively and cosmopolitan

  • The setting was appropriately smart

  • We started with poppadoms that came engrained with cumin seeds and with an array of sides including an unusual papaya dip

  • We followed these with Pocha Hera Jhinga marinated spiced king prawns in a light crispy batter with coriander and curry leaves

  • The second starter we chose was the Murgh Gilaafi

  • Whilst minced chicken isn't usually on our radar these were particularly good

  • Was not up to the hype and left us with more rice than China

  • What lamb there was was tender

  • The Nalli Roganjosh was thankfully much more impressive

  • In fact you hardly noticed they were there a plus on one side

  • 25 of which was spent on the cheapest bottle of the wine we could get away with on the menu

  • I dabble in customer satisfaction market research) the price tag was mighty high

  • I think these two bloggers got out of their depth North of The River best stick to Tooting next time where our stomachs and wallets will be left a little fuller

  • I think that was the best decision we made

  • ) Zenna bar was really impressive and i really enjoyed the Fig Martini

  • As i am vegetarian that is first thing that stands out to my eyes

  • Over all good food but it is not the local next door Indian takeaway or restaurant

  • Three course with a big selection of dishes coming on the table

  • We were completely thrilled that entire menu items were brought on the table

  • The pick of the veggie plates was the aubergine curry plate

  • Intense curry flavour with perfectly cooked aubergine

  • The soft shell crab was a delight and an absolute faultless dish

  • Wine list is great and the beautiful Malbec 2012 was a lovely partner to the various dishes we chose

  • I recommend The Red Fort for a proper good fine dining curry meal with great service

  • I'm sure by now that you guys are getting to grips with the types of food posts I usually post *cough* burgers *cough*

  • As well as the fact that The Red Fort (Soho) is celebrating it's 30th anniversary to say that I was excited to try The Red Fort (Soho)

  • Considering this restaurant is located in the heart of Soho

  • I was expecting a busy vibe but it was completely empty

  • This could merely be because it was nearing the end of their lunch service

  • Period the staff were very attentive

  • Led me to believe that they regularly update their menus so there are no confusions I was impressed by this

  • Anaari Champ Grilled Scottish lamb chops topped with star anise &

  • In fact they were more than enough for the two of us to split

  • Were completely smothered in cheese with just the right amount of chili for a kick

  • The chicken in the curry was absolutely amazing

  • The only thing that confused me was the consistency of the sauce

  • The saffron rice was more than enough to share between two

  • The saffron was strong but not overpowering

  • Literally just how I love my naan bread I liked that they were small sizes as too much bread is a dangerous game

  • I don't think it was the best Indian I've ever had

  • The price of the dishes are a little higher than your average

  • Let me start with saying that The Red Fort is undoubtably one of the best Indian fine dining restaurants in London

  • The ambience is incredible and the food is even better

  • We also ordered a nice medium bodied French to go with the white meat

  • The Prawns were to DIE for exceptional mustard based fragrant curry

  • Dal was great and so were the breads

  • The Red Fort is a perfect example of a fine Indian dining establishment

  • The food and ambience is absolutely great

  • When we first arrived we were welcomed with a aromatic smell of fine Indian food that tickled our nostrils

  • Our booking was for 7PM and when we arrived the restaurant was a bit empty

  • The portion sizes were very very generous (although it is not exactly a cheap restaurant) and the presentation of food was also great

  • The cocktail was absolutely perfect

  • We loved every dish and soon we were full and very content

  • The only reason this restaurant has received a 4.5 star instead of 5 from me is because when I asked for a highchair for my child they said they didn't have any

  • Everything else you are doing is perfect

  • On Dean Street in Soho is The Red Fort

  • The broccoli florets were perfectly roasted

  • The flavours of the spiced paste worked well with the broccoli

  • The Khumb Tandoori mushrooms were also perfectly cooked and the texture was wonderful

  • The Tandoori Phool was definitely our favourite

  • The consistency of the lentils was perfect &ndash

  • Grilled stone bass fillet with a spiced coconut milk sauce

  • The fact that it all disappeared within minutes is evidence that everything was delicious

  • A visit to The Red Fort is worth it if you want to treat yourself

  • It is for this reason I was so intrigued to try out Red Fort

  • Seems to have great reviews with a wide menu and right in the heart of London

  • We went on a Friday night when it was busy but not intrusively so and had quite a buzzing atmosphere

  • The tables are quite close together and the place is popular what else would you expect in Soho

  • Knowing how large portions often are at such places

  • Were absolutely delicious the king prawns lived up to their king status and the batter was perfectly done with a lovely blend of spices

  • They were served with a delicious selection of side sauces including a really unusual banana chutney

  • The Lucknow chicken was very tender and melt in the mouth but I must admit that I found the flavours really quite bland

  • Particularly with Indian food and this is where I felt it was lacking

  • The lamb biryani was cooked perfectly they certainly know how to cook meat well and the texture of this with the rice was faultless but yet again

  • The aubergine dish was nice enough and had more richness in its spices

  • I didn't actually order raita but it came seemed to have pieces of apple and this was one of the most refreshing raitas I've tried anywhere

  • The choices of bread in the naan basket were varied and moreish I'm fussy about naans and these certainly passed my naan test

  • I am always happy to pay prices like this for food that is above and beyond expectations

  • The food was certainly not bad and many elements of it were appealing such as the prawns

  • As I think there are better places in London

  • Not a bad meal by any means and an extensive menu with friendly staff but probably not somewhere that I would return given the over inflated prices

  • The Red Fort is a restaurant on Dean Street that I&rsquo

  • This attention to detail was definitely reflected in the starters we ordered

  • Due to my obsession with chaats I tried the Bhalla Sev Puri

  • My dining companion tried the Hara Kebab which was composed of spinach patties lightly filled with cheddar

  • I tried the Methi Paneer which was made with home made cottage cheese and dried fenugreek leaf in a creamed tomato sauce

  • The flavours were also very traditional and made good use of the aromas that come from coriander and cumin

  • They had also taken the chutneys away that come with the starters so we couldn&rsquo

  • It arrived as a good sized pie filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with strawberry pieces and crushed nut

  • The Red Fort is well priced for the high quality of food they serve

  • As vegetarian main courses are between £

  • The cheapest option is the Salmon Tikka at £

  • In addition there is only one option for accompaniments

  • The starters were really well flavoured but the main course didn&rsquo

  • In addition some of the main dishes were a bit widely priced

  • The Red Fort stands out from this crowd as it is an established restaurant serving traditional and authentic Indian flavours

  • I would say it is one of the best restaurants in the Soho vicinity

  • When we went it was quite empty inside

  • The only negative was that the portion sizes are tiny

  • The Aam ki kulfi was like the perfect happy ending

  • Only suggestion is that they should improve the portion sizes

  • A place like this is difficult to find these days

  • The service is also very good

  • The waiters were very friendly and were very keen to help us out with our meals

  • I had a great time here with my friends

  • I went there on a Friday night and luckily we were able to get a good comfortable table

  • I had by far the best Indian Cuisine which has a perfect blend of Indian flavors and spices

  • The starters were really tasty and quite filling

  • The main course was also equally good to taste

  • The service is very efficient and swift

  • The lamb curry at The Red Fort (Soho) is extremely expensive

  • Served as though we were being obliged by the chef

  • The chicken kebabs were bland and the texture was like plastic

  • I must also mention that there are other Indian restaurants where you can get similar quality of dishes at fairly reasonable prices

  • All the dishes ordered were consistently good and mouth watering delicious

  • I really loved their chicken and prawn preparations which were cooked to perfection

  • The fluctuating food taste and the ever so temperamental service these are things that define this restaurant

  • It is not even like the pricing of the food is thoughtful

  • The food quality and quantity is par excellence here

  • The starters were great and I called for the hera kebab

  • The presentation of each of the dishes was different to the other as was the style of cooking it

  • The Red Fort (Soho) has some authentic Indian food which is not just the usual Indian street food you get in London

  • Monkfish tikka which is very delicious

  • The food was not that bad but according to me it was not great either

  • Guys you really need to come out with some offers so that we can get discount from the huge bill

  • My favorite dish is murgh tikka annd paneer and if any one is planning to come here any soon then they really should try it and they are going to love my choice

  • The service here is very good and the ambiance is also very chilling

  • Found that there was too much seasoning on it

  • Because this is not extraordinary

  • The meat options are served with a wide variety of interesting curries

  • My favorite was the lamb shank with was amazing in taste and flavorsome

  • The starter was not fresh though

  • Maybe this is due to the restoration after afire destroyed the restaurant few months ago

  • They have a huge wine menu with 25 plus pages

  • The food dishes are also good with generous portions

  • Very poor start we had a reservation at 9 pm and were made to wait till 9.30 on the excuse that the guy at the counter had not made the reservation hope the food is better

  • The staff made every attempt to Make up for the lost time with i sincerely appreciate but food was a dampener
