  • Barrafina always been regard as one of the best tapas bar in London

  • So I went there with expectation of needing to wait for a while but I was well up for it as I queued over 2 hours for Burgers and Lobsters before so I am no stranger to queuing

  • So off we wait at the back of the bar and we were offered to taste some Sherry and bread while we wait (modern marketing for no booking restaurants)

  • I walked past the restaurant many times but I always thought there was an extra room somewhere

  • Restaurant is around 20 seats around the massive L shaped bar

  • This tortilla was just fantastic

  • One of the best I had in my life

  • I though about onion gravy mixed with a little bit of PX

  • With limited counter seating and a couple of tables there are constant waits of over an hour

  • We decided to brave the wait one Saturday night and were pleasantly surprised when it whittled down quite quickly

  • Perhaps we were lucky to join the queue when a raft of diners were coming to the end of their meals

  • Once seated the ever changing specials board was being updated in front of us

  • The whole lemon sole with dill vinaigrette caught our eye and it was a whopper

  • Fresh fish cooked on the bone with not much else and it didn&rsquo

  • What's important is that I'm back in London for a bit so what follows is a few restaurant reviews

  • I had heard amazing things about the top quality tapas from other bloggers so I knew that when I was back in London

  • After visiting the Christmas markets in South Bank with my equally quirky companion

  • I headed back to Soho with great haste in order to get there early

  • One possibility is that I may be rushing to attend some event

  • The other possibility is the combination of a no reservation policy and a small seating capacity

  • The first thing I had in mind was to join the queue

  • The waiting time for eating outside is basically non existent so good for you

  • One thing that kept me going was the amazing food being served to the seated customers

  • There is no denying that Barrafina is at the higher end of prices for tapas

  • When the food and service is this good you really don&rsquo

  • One of the perks of waiting around in a tapas bar (albeit a very upmarket one) is that they know you want a little pintxo while you wait

  • Whet your appetite with some ham croquetas (£

  • We settled on the octopus with capers (£

  • Four to five plates (after three pintxos while waiting for our seats) was just the right amount for two and my only regret was that I couldn&rsquo

  • The original Barrafina on Frith Street is still well worth queuing

  • It was slightly too salty for my liking but was good enough to keep me quiet for the rest of the wait

  • 40 minutes later we were shown our seats

  • First of our tapas was the lomo Iberico de Bellota (£

  • This had a mild salty flavour and the portion was pretty good

  • I didn't exacty get involved with this because I don't eat egg

  • They both seemed to like it though they both agreed this little thing was quite heavy

  • It still had an eggy aftertaste so this one was really not for me

  • I was looking forward to Barrafina's courgette flowers but as they were unavailable at the time

  • The octopus with capers (£

  • Perfectly charred on the outside with hints of undercooked bits in a few places (sans sliminess

  • The smokiness of the octopus may have been heightened by a generous dusting of paprika but was also balanced by the tangy capers sporadically spread across the board

  • I'm not big on pork shoulder as it's another one of those well marbled cuts of meat so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the presa Ibé

  • Deliciously sweet and cooked nicely (although some would possibly say this was a bit under)

  • The confit potatoes were delicious too

  • 7.5) was another one of my choices and considering how difficult it is to cook quail

  • We were quite chuffed at how cheap the bill was considering the quality and the amount of food we consumed and the service we got

  • Service was attentive our man kept refilling our water bottle and smiled all the time whilst clearing our space and if you like the theatricals of open kitchens then this is definitely for you

  • We didn't order wine for fear of falling asleep by the bar (we did queue up quite a while and by the time we were seated it was almost bed time)

  • Every single tapas is awesome literally that makes me wanting to order a second portion immediately as soon as I have finished it

  • My boyfriend and I decided to dine here during the love wins parade so the whole place was literally packed

  • We had to queue up for nearly two hours to be seated but man was it worth it

  • The ones that sticked to me the most were the ham and cheese croquetas

  • The octopus with capers and the chips

  • The others were good but not as amazing

  • This restaurant takes no reservations and with it being so popular with very limited seating

  • So make sure you are with good company

  • Luckily the wait is totally worth it

  • General consensus is that the food at Barrafina is good and general consensus is right

  • I enjoyed everything I ate and the meal itself was a very pleasurable experience

  • 15 mins before we got seats at the bar but were offered the wine list and managed to have a glass of wine before seating

  • They serve the best tapas in London

  • Their tortilla and quail are just authentic and amazing

  • Barrafina offers the best Tapas you can find

  • The staff shouting orders to each other in Spanish it is almost as if you suddenly left London behind and are now seated at a tapas bar in Spain having the most succulent meats

  • Tasty seafood together with a glass of amazing Spanish wine

  • The service is also great

  • Barrafina perfectly suited the bill and was close enough that we did not have to go out of the way to get to

  • The original outlet located on Frith Street was awarded a Michelin star

  • The restaurants do not take bookings and sitting around the counter top is on a first come

  • The queues here are known to be legendary and we were there to witness it first hand towards the end of our meal

  • Small portions and a long wait is how I would summarize my visit to Barrafina

  • The starter portions are really tiny like you get one prawn in a portion

  • Everything was sooo flavorful

  • The courgette flowers are a must have

  • They serve the best tapas in town

  • Every single tapas is sooo flavorful

  • The pears in white wine is a must have

  • Spanish cuisine is my favourite and the food here is great

  • If there's a que you can have some wine on the counter top with some delicious croquettes to get your appetite going

  • Nice place with very friendly staff

  • Dinner style Spanish tapas bar with stools for Spanish small plates and sherry cocktails in central London

  • There are long queue as there is no reservations but it's worth the wait

  • Venue is small with bar tables and there are only bar stools available

  • It does feel quite authentically Spanish with all the tapas and wonderful aroma

  • Everything we had was very Spanish

  • This tapas bar is fantastic serving the best tapas/ Spanish food in London

  • The seafood tasted fresh and was cooked to perfection

  • The wine I was recommended also went great with everything

  • The seating is quite thin and you must make it to the restaurant by 5

  • You may be dining with one of the celebrities (often found at Barrafina (Soho))

  • Mouthwatering and ultra delicious delicacies are served here

  • They help you align the food with the best suited wines

  • We ended up gulping bottles of wine which was well paired with the ordered meats

  • Chicken thigh with romesco sauce

  • Friendly hospitality and the serving time is reasonable too

  • The portion sizes (especially for the mains) were a bit smaller than I anticipated

  • The courgette flower and patatas bravas are delicious veggie options and the meat platters are perfect for a light lunch

  • All I can say was the food is worth the wait we ordered quite a lot for 2 person but we finished everything

  • The service they have is quiet fab bcoz it was very rapid and the waiters were also sophisticatedly talking

  • I ordered some sea food and spanish tapas and it was just mindblowing the taste was awesome indeed i must say

  • I think that it is a perfect place to spend your good tym and a good eve here ❤️❤️

  • Food and setting were appreciably unique

  • Despite the fact that London is a world city

  • The service is extremely friendly and professional and the menu is amazingly diversified

  • NOw I realised that why Barrafina (Soho) is called wow place after going there I found out why

  • Everything is fabulous in restaurant from menu to service

  • Ambiance of the place is mesmerized

  • OMG Barrafina (Soho) is really very good awesome there food is so delicious can't explained in words

  • Got into a good conversation with a traveller who was sitting next to me

  • A solo early dinner with light drizzle after a tiresome day was completely worth it at Barrafina

  • Grilled quail al i oil at 9.80 was nicely done and crema catalana at 6.50 was sheer bliss

  • The total of 18.34 at Barrafina was completely worth the hype of being a Michellin starred restaurant

  • The burgers are really juicy and nicely cooked

  • The shakes are really tasty too

  • We went for a selection of the different seafood versions of taps and I must admit they were really good

  • The octopus which taste was really covered by the spices and was super delicious

  • Re not a fan of cheese then stuffed courgette flower with blue cheese might be a bit heavy

  • All the dishes were full of flare and flavour and were served on time

  • Such a tasty spread and i had one of the best lunches here in london

  • I queued up 30 mins before the restaurant opens and was 3rd in line

  • The highlight was definitely the soft shell crab

  • It was cooked perfectly and it was an explosion of flavours in your mouth

  • The staff were helpful and their recommendations were fantastic including the ox cheek (which was one of their recommendations)

  • Me and my husband are big fans of tapas because of our frequent visits to Barcelona

  • We loved the taste here even though it was as good as what you get in Barcelona

  • Also I think Barrafina (Soho) is way too expensive( I can imagine because it&rsquo

  • I can eat 3 meals with the same price in Barcelona

  • This restaurant is good for dinning

  • Ve been here a few times and the food is really incredible

  • The service is usual good but wasn&rsquo

  • The atmosphere is great and everything cooked right in front of you
