Needoo (Whitechapel)

• It was opened by a former Tayyabs manager so was expecting something mouth watering
• Slight let down was the fact that the ventilation downstairs seemed a bit non existent so that every time a sizzling plate came out the entire restaurant choked on the fumes
• Like Tayyabs there is a rather unique style to the interior design
• Black sparkly marble lines the floors whilst the walls are an orangey red that is juxtaposed against aqua blue uplighting
• Not to my taste and unfortunately not out of character with other local establishments
• We opened with some popadoms that were clearly microwaved and served with some very viscous and lumpy raita
• The mango lassi wasn't very thick or creamy either and the mango chutney was equally thin
• The lamb chops in the mixed grill were not the greatest quality and quantities were not as abundant elsewhere
• The marinade was slightly redeeming
• The coconut filling was a interesting orangey colour and it was very buttery
• We opted for a number of vegetarian dishes that were delicious and reinforced my faith in okra and aubergine curries
• The staff here were very friendly if not a little frantic
• Reminds you that most dishes are just reheated

• There is a better chance of getting a table at Needoo's than there is at Tayyab's
• Tried as tayyabs was quiet crowded and no one was attending even after waiting for sometime
• Needoo (Whitechapel) was also full for a weekday dinner but quickly got a table
• Also they serve 3 type of chutneys which were quiet good
• Karahi chicken was ok and nan was good
• Overall the food was good and service was definitely good
• There food is still good i must say but im a little disappointed with the service
• Cutlery wasn't completely clean nor were the glasses but i guess thats whats expected of curry houses in the area now
• The Mixed Grill from Needo Grill was once upon a time
• The dry spiced heat and the deep salty burning flavours are balanced by
• Was looking forward to do Iftar with my other half here all week and was eventually left very disappointed
• We kept asking the main waiter how long the wait is and he told us it would be here in five minutes about 6 times
• In terms of food The mixed grill was brilliant especially the lamb chops which were meaty
• Tasted as if it was cooked in a rush by the chef as the waiter was constantly pressuring the kitchen
• Once again especially the lamb chops is the only reason I've even decided to give Needoo (Whitechapel) a review
• Lunch for two was grilled lamb chops
• Tomatoes and cucumber with a wedge of lemon on the table when we sat down
• Because the naan was quite greasy
• A small portion of dahl was maybe 500ml so actually pretty large
• I think Tayyabs and Lahore Kebab House which are both nearby do better grilled lamb chops
• I've since heard from a Pakistani colleague that the grilled lamb chops are the only dish you shouldn't order Needoo
• Their kebabs are very nicely done
• I had been to London on a one day trip and this resto was recommended by one of my colleague's friends
• Considering it was late in the night and I was hungry
• What I enjoyed there was guiding people from London to choose the best from the menu
• Extremely crowded on weekends with waiting times of atleast 30 minutes
• I could understand their restrictions with spices and everything because they are operating in London and they have to consider the 'local pallete tolerance' for spicy food
• It was the restaurant with below average taste of meals
• Since I was told by a die hard Needoo follower that Needoo (Whitechapel) serves the best nalli nihari in the area
