Masgouf Restaurant - Paddington (Marble Arch)

• We went during Eid and the entire feel was cramped and rushed
• Given that it is quite expensive as well
• So apparently there aren't many Iraqi restaurants in London they're all more Persian or Lebanese which might explain why I was excited to check out the venue today
• I guess it was my own ignorance of cuisine that meant I couldn't really tell the difference
• As far as I could tell it was the same humus for starters and the same mixed grill served with the same rice for mains that we received
• As the meal was paid for I can't quite comment on price
• In terms of food it was all solid and a good alternative to the usual fare you'd get a few metres away in Edgware Road (spit)
• The warm bread with most mouthwatering dips were the highlight of the starters for us
• We had Iraqi kouzi with saffron rice topped with nuts
• A rice dish with egg plants and lamb meat with neutral and equitable spices in terms of heat
• Also ordered was Fish was amazing chat grilled sea bass
• This is an Iraqi restaurant which will provide you with some authentic Iraqi dishes and it is worth a try sometimes
• My food was also good and it was my first time so I got to know about the Iraqi taste
• If you happen to be a person who loves to try the chef's special for the day then Masgouf Restaurant - Paddington (Marble Arch) is definitely worth giving a shot
• It serves the best Sea Bass ever and happens to surprise me with the authenticity in the taste
