Put your mobile lights on and see how dirty is under your seat
-
All the food are same taste and ingredients
-
Then Mahdi is the place to go
-
It is a medium sized restaurant always busy due to its popularity and high quality of food and is a perfect place to take someone on a date or family for a special meal
-
The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere decorated with Persian rug styled seats
-
On entering the restaurant I was welcomed by the waiters and given a table to sit at and was greeted by every member of staff that I walked past
-
I was presented with the menu which had a great selection of main and starters with a mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes served with rice or Persian bread
-
The restaurant is always filled with a delicious aroma of their food making you feel irresistible
-
My personal favourite dishes are the grilled meat dishes and the chelov kebab
-
Their succulent kebabs are served with a variety of dips such as creamy yoghurt and chilli sauce and is the main reason why I returned
-
Mahdi has stood out to me as the portion sizes are huge and are at a reasonable price
-
They tend to add 10% service charge to the bill at the end but are willing to remove it on large orders if you pay by cash instead of card
-
Just like its food the surroundings and decor is completely Persian/Middle Eastern
-
They have Persian rugs and lamps which make you feel like you are in the Middle East
-
The portion of food is unbelievable
-
One can tell it is cooked with best of Middle Eastern flavours due to the aroma
-
I ordered the chicken and lamb kebabs served with a large portion of rice and salad
-
The food layout was quite amazing and the best I tried I could not finish my plate
-
The customer service was warm and polite and if you are eager to find out what Middle Eastern food tastes like
-
The platters are large enough to share among a group (of 4) and great value
-
The waiters were happy to change anything which I wasn't pleased with which was nice
-
Mahdi Restaurant is a local favourite with absolutely huge portions of delicious Persian cuisine
-
The service at the restaurant is always so efficient and friendly
-
The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are always happy to give recommendations
-
They don't serve alcohol but the food and ambiance are so good that it doesn't matter
-
Then Mahdi Restaurant is the place to go
-
This Persian restaurant is average in terms of the atmosphere
-
The food is not exceptional but there are some dishes that are really tasty
-
Even though the service of Mahdi Restaurant (Hammersmith) is really shoddy
-
One does not mind the inefficient service staff as long as the food is delectable
-
The chicken we ordered was uncooked and raw in the middle
-
We were told that it was the only way that they cooked all kinds of meat
-
I would suggest everyone to avoid this restaurant as there are better and friendlier places out there
-
Mahdi Restaurant (Hammersmith) was such a disappointment
-
The service here is nothing but pathetic
-
The food was brought in after a delay of approximately and hour and even then it was a wrong order
-
The quality of food is deplorable and the kebabs we had were not cooked properly and was still raw
-
The portions are very generous and huge
-
The waiters are also friendly and cheerful
-
It is one of the best places that I have ever visited
-
The food was absolutely delicious and the prices charged for it were quite modest
-
I am actually wondering how they are even able to make it but trust me
-
For the money at which they are offering it
-
This Pakistani restaurant in London does its best to disappoint in terms of food
-
The yogurt was not edible with the rest of the dishes just edible
-
The main course was not appetizing
-
The food seemed stale and was just microwaved before serving
-
The prices are steep and the staff is rather obnoxious
-
I did not expect to have a great time here since I was returning here after quite a long time
-
Mahdi Restaurant (Hammersmith) is same as it was
-
The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff very efficient and amicable
-
The food is excellent and is cooked to perfection
-
The service is pretty quick and efficient with the staff being quite warm and friendly
-
As this one is a family run venture
-
This is a lovely place if you want to eat some good food that is dirt cheap
-
The breads are amazing and there is a good selection of dips too
-
The skewers are perfect and melt into your mouth instantly
-
The portions are gigantic and the food is a great deal for money
-
The drinks are also very good
-
The pricing as compared to the food joints in the same vicinity is pretty low and reasonable
-
I would recommend you to try their mirza ghasemi which is a dip made of tomatoes and aubergine
-
I understand and am a huge fan of Persian food but this restaurant is majorly disappointing
-
The service is just satisfactory
-
Was recommended to me by one of my friends who has been visiting here with her mother for over a decade now
-
So prepare yourself for some great food served with is lots of cardamom tea
-
The naans and the curries are delectable and sumptuous
-
The butter rice was outstanding
-
The service is swift and the prices are also reasonable
-
The evening didn't count for a pleasant experience as it was interrupted by the staff making intrusive comments about the guests there
-
The prices are also reasonable and for these gigantic portions
-
The ambiance is cool and the sitting is intimate
-
Everything we tried from soup to starter to main course was delectable and sumptuous
-
The chicken was so soft and juicy
-
The basket of breads is fresh and savory
-
The prices are also reasonable
-
The cumin yogurt was a treat for the taste buds
-
The servers are friendly and attentive
-
The prices are steep but worth it
-
The rice and the lamb was delectable and sumptuous
-
The biryani is a must try
-
When I went there they had two family gatherings with small children who were crying throughout our stay there
-
The chicken curry was badly made ordered rice and curry didn't have it after a bite
-
2 good things were the Persian tea and the Eran
-
Amazing Persian food with huge portion
-
Nice authentic environment with a lot of cultural backgrounds and food
-
It's got a more urban feel to it I don't know but the food is 'nice' not the best but 'nice' and just 'nice'
-
The nan bread was decent at best but the yoghurt was very underwhelming
-
I suspect it was pre done rather then freshly make on the day
-
In my second visit (which was quite recent)
-
The kebabs and the chicken pieces were extremely flavourful and juicy
-
The lamb chops were nice but not as good as the aforementioned
-
The rice was superb and tasted wonderfully with the yogurt tahini
-
Early evening hours are extremely busy
-
Late nights are relatively empty
-
Overall I was not very pleased with the restaurant at all
-
The staff behaviour was ok and the restaurant itself has a really nice vibe but the food quality overall was very poor
-
Easily the best Iranian food out there
-
Ok two pictures are worth a thousand words
-
It was a saturday night and the place was absolutely packed with a zillion people many of whom were also celebrating their birthdays
-
We called for a Mixed Grill platter that had decent portions of boneless and bone in pieces of meat served with the authentic saffron rice
-
It tasted delicious with the kebabs being tender and juicy with a selection of chicken
-
We also called for a Faloudeh which has frozen starch noodles with rose water and lemon
-
I guess one has to develop a taste for this as the noodles are not very sweet and the taste of lemon is strong
-
Mahdi Restaurant (Hammersmith) is a sure not to miss when in London
-
The food was good however the service was disgusting
-
I had a 2 year old with me crying and they were constantly rolling their eyes and complaining
-
You could almost feel that you are on holiday in Iran
-
The big downer was the service staff were disinterested and bemused (although the food did come promptly)
-
I saw beautiful decoration with white table cloth and long red termeh on each table
-
This time I met the handsome owner Mr Mehdi Rahimi who was in the background and managing the smooth running of a very busy restaurant
-
In comparison with other Persian Restaurant that I have visited this year
-
We ordered the mix grill for 2 people and it was presented perfectly and tasted fresh
-
This is my new go to Iranian restaurant atmosphere is nice and cosy and food is great
-
Most of the dishes which we have ordered was sweet taste
-
The service is not the best specially when busy
-
The best item is the bread which is cooked on premises and served fresh
