Late 2015 we were singing the praises of the foodie food court that Kingly Court has turned into
-
Even in dull January when we are all broke and supposed to be on diets
-
I can see why resolutions are broken for Le Bab if you&rsquo
-
Aka a small doughnut with spiced chicken liver parfait was what top nibble food is all about
-
The parfait was smooth and rich with not a trace of unpleasant bitterness
-
It is one of the many restaurants in Kingly Court which is home to several popular dining spots such as Pizza Pilgrims
-
This is something we did religiously when we were dating but since getting married
-
So perhaps I'm not best placed to judge somewhere whose menu is solely compromised of kebabs
-
Order a drink (preferably with whisky in) and one of the posh kebabs
-
Ready to roll yourself and devour or to tuck into with knife and fork
-
The grilled spring onions were at once smokey and sweet
-
The fennel pickle tangy and with a vinegary bite that cut through the meat
-
We also had to order the fondue fries which were essentially cheesy chips and gravy (but oh
-
Is among the wave of modern Middle Eastern restaurants with a massive following in London such as Berber &
-
The food is served in good time and not a huge menu but it is just right
-
Starter portions are small but just right for a starter and mains i think could be larger to give more value for money
-
Something that may also help is to have some sauces added to each dish to compliment it and a wider vegetarian selection may also really help
-
Going in a group between 2 8 would be best here given the space
-
Booking via the web was straight forward and reminders sent via email as you would expect
-
This is Soho so best to use London Transport
-
The resturant has a nice feel with country panelling and high ceilings giving a sense of space where the actual space is limited but you never feel trapped
-
It however had no connection with Middle East design or architecture
-
T think thats necessary a bad thing as the food is also not traditional so decor reflects this is a fusion and modern take on the cuisine
-
T drink so i cannot comment on the drink but there is a wide range of cocktails on offer here and a happy hour
-
Le Bab Hummus (With levantine nuts dressing / with pork shawarma) A nice humous with a peanut topping which made it a little more interesting
-
Served with a flat bread which was a little salted but i liked the smoky taste of the flat bread personally
-
Szechuan pepper and dukka) I did not try these but my guests did not like the dish as they felt it was a little chewy and had peanuts on it which did not seem to work with the cod
-
Where i normally have this well done I compromised with the recommendation and glad I did
-
This was the special of the day and the meat was cooked perfectly and tasted great
-
There was also not enough sauce and this item could be improved by having two sauces served with the dish on the side
-
Curry mayo) I did not eat this but my guests really enjoyed it with 10 out of 10 from one and 7 out of 10 from the other
-
There was sauce with the paneer but maybe having some complimenting sauce on the side may have lifted this dish a little
-
Served on a warm skillet and with sauce already within
-
You should definitely have this dessert as it was warm and fluffy and full of flavour
-
Location and Service is second to none
-
Food was good and not too heavy with a great drinks selection on offer
-
A small menu to choose from but that is what makes every thing on it unique
-
Especially when the toilets are somewhere you enter whilst holding your breath
-
Even though the menu is not extensive
-
Whatever it has on it is enough to amaze your taste buds
