  • The bread and pasta are freshly made each day by head chef Maurizio Morreli so they are a must try when visiting this incredible restaurant

  • I knew starters were coming so I avoided filling up on their delicious bread

  • As you can see it was presented beautifully

  • Perhaps as all I've ever experienced is shop bought

  • Scrap that thought because this was the most fresh and delicious ravioli I have ever had

  • Now as you can see this was an interesting ravioli dish

  • The sea bass filling with bottarga herb also tasting fresh

  • This was his first experience with ravioli and I think it's safe to say he's been converted

  • We were also treated to a generous plate of Buffalo mozzarella on a bed of tomatoes and drizzled with basil pesto and olive oil

  • I had a little taste and was very impressed with the dish

  • The veggies were equally as delicious and seasoned well

  • Roast pork belly with wilted spinach

  • The pork belly itself was melt in your mouth delicious

  • Creamy and fluffy with layers mascarpone

  • Cocoa and topped with a generous dusting of cocoa and coffee mocha foam

  • I will happily say that the foam was the best part

  • The dish all together was delicious and I'm sad to say I struggled to finish it all

  • I didn't quite hear the flavours given and I barely got a mouthful as Shehzad was so utterly besotted with it (I cannot blame him)

  • Italian Ice cream is like sheer heaven and definitely makes me want to take a short break to Italy

  • The texture was so smooth and silky

  • To finish we were treated to a selection of in house made chocolate truffles and amaretti biscuits

  • Some deep and indulgent and others light with a coconut dusting

  • Overall our experience at Latium was outstanding

  • The service from the waiters and head waiter were incredible

  • We immediately felt at ease with the staff who assisted us in choosing an aperitif and a bottle of wine to complement our chosen dishes

  • Both my fellow diner and I started with a dish from the ravioli menu consisting of ravioli filled with taleggio

  • The presentation of this dish was immaculate with four sunflowers gazing up at us from our plates

  • The interesting fusion of flavours made for a delicious first course with the sweet crunch of the walnuts meshing with the tangy cheese perfectly

  • I opted for the tagliatelle with wild mushrooms and chestnuts

  • Were very sweet and it made for a dish I was not expecting

  • My partner chose to eat entirely from the ravioli menu and selected the ricotta and lemon ravioli with tomato and basil sauce

  • He was still very impressed with the tomato and citrus tastes creating a contrast of flavours

  • The ravioli menu surprisingly continued into the dessert and my partner finished with the sweet chocolate ravioli filled with ricotta

  • We decided that the ravioli itself was unusual and enjoyable however the sauce was used a little too copiously and could be improved by being able to pour it at one&rsquo

  • All complemented each other very well with the distinctive character of each dish making one forget that it was all ravioli

  • Believed I would be presented with a chocolate filled short crust pastry tart with a dark strong sauce

  • The dessert turned out to be more like a chocolate sponge with an amaretto cream but was well balanced and delicious nonetheless

  • The prices in Latium are on the mid high end of the spectrum with 3 courses amounting to £

  • Or the taste of any item was something that belonged to 90s

  • Mains and wine but found myself what I would have enjoyed elsewhere for same value as I was forking through

  • Situated in a side street between Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Circus Latiums decor is modern but nothing inspiring

  • When we arrived at 6 the restaurant was empty with the exception of about 8 waiting staff

  • Even though we had the fixed priced menu we were still given a range of antipasti on the house gorgeous foccachi bread

  • Amazing olive oils and olives this was a lovely nibble whilst we selected our food

  • My starter was delicious mixed exotic mushrooms with veal jus and scamorza a sort of Italian halloumi a delicious

  • All delicious and a great flavour though the fish was slightly overcooked for my liking

  • Dessert wise my other half opted for tiramisu which was lovely but extremely rich

  • The service was very attentive

  • Latium (Fitzrovia) is worth going down the random side street

  • This got to be the best pasta restaurant in London

  • The ravioli menu is sublime too bad that the portions are really small

  • Pricy but worth it when you are looking for something you can't make at home

  • Italian cured meat and soft cheese along with bread and olive oil

  • The lamb was tender and the ragu was perfectly seasoned

  • The waiter recommended a classic Italian wine to pair with our food (le poggere) and told us quirky story about it

  • The waiter presented us with a selection of Italian chocolates (on the house)

  • S become a lovely tradition to get together with Annie and Jerry for a meal just before Christmas
