  • Presentation and service were all exquisite

  • The sandwiches rolled into cylinders were also very different and I thought the overall experience was really quite excellent

  • One minor blotch was the jelly that you could help yourself to

  • Every detail is paid attention to and matches the theme

  • Even the ceramics and silverware are fascinating

  • The sweet treats however have massive portion sizes (which is not necessary a bad thing but it just gets too overwhelming after a point) I even loved the vegetarian sandwiches

  • The server was kind enough to bring us second helpings of the same

  • Being a tea person finding Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia) was an absolute bliss

  • Food and drinks are by far excellent

  • Marshmallow mushrooms and the mad hatters pink champagne tea are a must try

  • S afternoon tea at the Sanderson is largely full of groups of ladies dressed up to the nines with silk sashes draped across their bodies

  • Being a keen people watcher and more in touch with his feminine side than the average man

  • First impressions were a bit dodgy

  • As the hotel was undergoing refurb and there was scaffolding and a temporary entrance outside

  • Once in we were shown through to the beautiful greenhouse area

  • The table decor is insanely cute plates and napkins lining up form AIW clocks and pictures

  • The treats are brought out on a stunning layered tea stand

  • I was slightly disappointed with it was a serve youself buffet and the flavours didn't pack a punch

  • All in all it was a magical experience

  • Down the rabbit hole we went as we ventured through the doors of The Sanderson Hotel into a modern reception with cushiony lips as a seating option

  • T attribute to hosting an afternoon tea with such a title

  • Inside of which was the menu detailing the colourful treats that would be laid out in front of us

  • Pastries and sandwiches was presented to us on a three tiered dessert stand

  • The portions are more than generous for two and fill you up very quickly but you can&rsquo

  • The food is decorated to tie in with the theme and you will get to sample chocolate tea cups

  • The savoury options were also pleasing and varied

  • Accompanying the sweets were delightful little passion fruit potions with a tag that read &lsquo

  • Very cohesive with the Alice theme

  • The tea set arrives and all the little cakes and desserts is very thoughtfully catered around the theme

  • As it is basically finger sandwiches with a few props thrown upon it

  • The ambience and surrounding is immaculate and service is absolutely amazing

  • If you're purely looking for a place with good afternoon teas

  • There are many more places around London that serves just that with half the price

  • Very disappointed with Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia)

  • Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia) will offer you some good flavours of tea but if you are not a tea fan then Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia) is not for you

  • This is a theme based place and good to go if you are a fan of one

  • The service is impeccable

  • The scones and quiche were both delicious and well prepared

  • We also ordered Sandwiches which were in some Sushi style concept curled up and rolled

  • It was my birthday when I had visited Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia) along with a couple of friends

  • The food I had ordered was tasteless and seemed like pre made or microwaved

  • They tried to just cover up the whole thing by saying that it was freshly prepared

  • Having always been obsessed with Alice in Wonderland and all the craziness that goes with it

  • Just to say I was so excited about it

  • I think that with Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia)

  • I just wish it was a little prettier tasting

  • Pastries made with the finest chocolate

  • It's like when you eat something and you're looking for something more is it missing salt

  • The hotel is located in the Upper West End on Berner's Street and my word Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia) is ridiculously cool

  • Filled with wickedly mismatched chairs of red lips and ones that twirl around and just to the right is the long bar buzzing with after work party goer's and a chilled blend of house beats

  • The afternoon tea itself took place in the outside area which is actually a closed in conservatory

  • The waiter called Andres was very tentative and firstly offered us a selection of their speciality teas to start off with

  • The menu which is cleverly hidden in a vintage book and comes with a riddle

  • After all is was Friday evening

  • The sandwiches were all nicely wrapped and they even managed to use rye bread which made me one happy customer

  • The melting mango cheesecake was an absolute winner and a must to try

  • My all time favourite menu item was the miniature bottle labeled 'drink me' which was a potion of unbelievable amazing flavours coming from that straw

  • The atmosphere and the ambience in general were second to none and for the £

  • I didn't think was a bad price either

  • The Ritz and Dorchester are great if you like a really fancy afternoon soiree but if your like me and you enjoy something slightly out there

  • I believe was executed well through the dining set and food but otherwise you would not be able to tell what the theme was just by stepping in to the room

  • The room is very clean and spacious with a small waterfall in the middle and a glass ceiling

  • The menu was inside a vintage reading book and we were presented with some flavored tea to choose from

  • I would recommend getting a typical English breakfast tea or whatever you re use to as the flavored tea can get slightly bitter and ruins the taste of all the sweets you are about to indulge in

  • The sandwiches were nice and my favorite dessert was the mango cheesecake

  • Overall this is a lovely experience however

  • On first arrival to the hotel it was abit scary as it was so fancy &

  • You automatically feel out of place but when seated in The Mad Hatters tea garden the atmosphere was so relaxing &

  • There are plenty of options in London but one quite particular is in the Sanderson hotel

  • Great execution is what will you find in the Mad Hatter afternoon tea

  • Because the sandwiches were curled up and reminded us all of maki rolls

  • The scones and quiche were both delicious but none of us were particular keen on the sandwiches

  • The mad hatters afternoon tea was great but there are definitely better themed afternoon tea options in London

  • If there is a theme that was made for afternoon tea

  • The Sanderson hotel is the perfect setting to celebrate 150 years since it was published

  • The Sanderson is a quirky looking place

  • With huge pillowy lip sofa welcoming you at the entrance and chairs with eyes on their backs

  • The one that perhaps caught the public imagination was the original version at Sanderson London

  • I somehow managed to miss this one and was just a little disappointed

  • Course Sanderson London is quite a surreal place even without the afternoon tea

  • The decadent purple bar and the tranquil Japanese styled courtyard garden around which tea is served are just a few examples

  • Right in the middle of the room was a giant egg

  • Afternoon tea with a twist and a trip back to the good old memories of watching Alice in wonderland

  • The sitting and surrounding of the hotel is somewhat disappointing

  • Presentation is cute and quirky

  • The ice cream plant pot was really good but at that point we were too full to fit them in but it was so nice

  • They gave me an extra slice of cake as it was my birthday as well

  • Between 3.5 and 4 as food was served late

  • Some cakes were super average and the sitting wasn't that nice

  • If you want an afternoon tea with a twist then yes but do it when the weather is nice so you can sit in the garden

  • So I decided it was time to try out the 'afternoon tea' option as a dining experience

  • Some music would be preferable as afterall it is a Saturday evening

  • First to come out was the mini cocktails on a tray

  • Thick creamy cocktail was refreshing and moorish

  • So moorish in fact that the above mentioned were asked to be refilled

  • The experience was a good one

  • The scones were warm and delicious

  • The cakes and chocolates were presented in such a cute way

  • Mad Hatters Tea - Sanderson London Hotel (Fitzrovia) is super Uber cute

  • I wouldn't consider it to be the best afternoon tea I've ever had

  • Some of the food was too sweet or generally they weren't too memorable

  • The cocktail was delicious though and the tea was delightful
