  • Them to finally open in Soho was a real treat

  • The frites were pretty damn amazing

  • Each wurst is made to an authentic German recipe using the freshest free range meat sourced from family run

  • The sausage casing was surprisingly light and soft

  • While the meat filling was full of flavour and condensed but well textured at the same time

  • Can opt instead for it to be chopped into pieces and drenched with the curry sauce

  • The alcohol is pretty much limited to beer

  • The upstairs is charmingly designed

  • The downstairs is a tad more

  • Strange murals wrap around the room as Baywatch is projected onto a large screen

  • I think Herman ze German is the perfect place to watch The World Cup

  • For the duration of the World Cup they are also selling a special bratwurst

  • Especially when topped with the sour fermented cabbage

  • Their chips are baked rather than fried so aren&rsquo

  • T greasy and are very crisp

  • A third Herman ze German is in the pipeline

  • S a great place just to go for a cheap and easy dinner with friends or to fuel up in before hitting the bars of Soho

  • German cuisine isn't necessarily my go to but the quality of sausages here is unmissable

  • Good quality served with crunchy onions &

  • Something that really stands out here is their buns

  • Looking for a quick pit stop then Herman is your place

  • The night I took one with some crispy onion on the top really gnammy

  • The rolls were chewy and the sausage was cooked enough to have some bite to the skin

  • Knight Rider (and other shows with their national treasure 'The Hoff') plays on a big screen in a room painted like a magical forest

  • Aside the price the bratwursts are cooked to perfection

  • The ambience is pretty cool to hang out with a bunch of friends as well

  • Herman ze German Soho (Soho) is probably my 'emergency' choice when I have no idea where to get my take away food for lunch

  • The concept of this restaurant is easy and based on a kind of fast food concept

  • You order at the counter and then a waiter brings the food to your table when it is ready or you can ask for take away

  • Meat balls with salad and fries Ze wurst roll with pommes Ze Pork Schnitzel

  • The second home of the best wurst in town

  • Where is possible to go with a group of friends and enjoy all the delicious wursts

  • Schnitzel and chips with your favourite toppings (crispy onion and cheese anyone

  • They do a good deal that comes with a drink too which always come in handy during lunch breaks

  • I like the casual feel of the place and definitely think the sausages are all flavourful

  • The bun that comes with it is good too

  • They also sell Fritz Kola which is a soda I became fond of when I went to Berlin

  • By far the best cola I encountered in a long time

  • The Bockwurst was hands down the second best sausage I have ever had in the United Kingdom (The first being at the german market in edinburgh)

  • I was really impressed with the quality of food and will be back again

  • Bockwurst in a roll with Sauerkraut

  • Had a really yummy lunch here I went for the bratwurst in a bun with cheesey pommes

  • Piled high with curry sauce

  • Both choices proved delicious and were delivered speedily to our table always a bonus when you're grabbing lunch of a workday

  • The place is small enough but there is extra seating upstairs (or was that downstairs

  • ) They server traditional German food including schnitzel but they are famous for wurst

  • I had currywurst chopped up and served with really good crispy fries

  • Staff are super lovely too and the prices are so reasonable

  • Simple side salad with apple pieces and a light dressing

  • Well seasoned with just a slight hum of heat from the chilli

  • The sausage is sliced up for you to make your meal more managable

  • The crispy fries were extremely yummy and perfect for dipping into the curry sauce

  • Whilst the sausages were well seasoned

  • The good thing about Herman ze German though is that you can mix and match what you'd like to accompany your sausage

  • You can't really go wrong with a beer and hotdog and Herman ze German definitely has got it right

  • So I ordered one meal deal with the sausage in a bun and another with the sausage cut up in sauce to share with my friend

  • Now a fight almost broke out between the two of us over the hot dog in the bun so that was the clear winner

  • The bun itself was so fresh and delicious and must have been homemade

  • I dragged two of my best friends in this restaurant

  • It was quite bland to be honest and was served rather cold

  • It's such a weird dish though (chopped up sausage served with chips and covered in a spicy tomato sauce) and you basically can't get it anywhere other than Germany OR SO I THOUGHT
