Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury)

• I have fortunately experienced it when it is relatively quiet
• The duck with rice as well as the chicken in katsu curry are two dishes I would strongly recommend
• The interior looks well decorated and is quite lavish
• The one at Brunswick square is merely a minute's walk from Russell Square station
• The service is very quick
• The prices are reasonable and the taste is absolutely wonderful
• I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves chinese food and in case you are not fond of chinese and japanese food
• The reason i am not giving the restaurant a 5/5 is because they discontinued my favorite satay sauce
• The Hare and Tortoise is perfect for what it is
• I hadn't realised it was one of a chain until I threw it into Zomato's search function
• The place follows a simple formula which is easy to roll out
• Even if the staff are always on the go (the place gets very busy)

• Oh and unfortunately a negative about Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is the smell coming from its kitchen
• The Hare and Tortoise features fusion cuisine with a lovely mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine
• The rule about the Hare and Tortoise is that it is always full
• Always full because the value for money is unparalleled
• This also means that sometimes there is a queue literally winding out of the door into the cold and foodless outside world
• My biggest gripe with this please shows how shamelessly cheap I am when you order tap water it comes in the tiniest glasses possible and on multiple occasions I have been served hot water
• We still got a table and were served rapidly
• Panko honey king prawns and deluxe sushi box (there were two of us sharing
• I chose the chicken ramen and was presented with a huge bowl filled with chicken
• I tried my friend's katsu curry which was succulent and savoury and was complete mended by the sweeter sticky rice
• It's great for students who are in a pinch
• I Fortunately had the chance to enjoy the restaurant during the non peak hours and I have to say that I was very Impressed with the quality of the food
• I had the chance to try on the beef and rice and I have to admit that It was a truly satisfying experience
• The only negative point that I would give is the lack of human presence from the waiting staff
• Once again I can understand that they are very busy during that time of the day
• Booking a reservation would be worth investing as Hare and Tortoise is typically full
• It's hard to find nice affordable sushi restaurants where you can go and actually sit and have a happy sushi meal with friends or family
• Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) serves Halal chicken BUT it's cross contaminated with the non halal meat such as PORK so not halal anymore
• The area in which this restaurant is situated is not very high standards
• The servers are so efficient that one does not have to wait long
• The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous
• More than one food item are DROOL WORTHY
• Even though Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is very far from the more popular places
• The food is very delicious and perhaps the best Chinese available in the city
• The green tea served is very hot and extremely comforting
• It did not turn out to be a 'pub' experience with food on offer
• We realised that the food here was affordable and the service was quick
• The prices were reasonable and the portion was massive
• This restaurant is a 3 3.5 for me as far as the food is concerned but the value alone
• Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) although at peak hours has a queue that might last for twenty minutes but the availability of take out option is excellent for the ones in hurry
• Though this isn't the best asian food ever but the decent quality and pricing may make it a good option to try

• The three dishes i ordered were brought in a really short span but the accompaniment of chilli oil was a difficult request to make from three waiters
• The pricing is also not quite reasonable
• The food and service are always great
• The menu is quite extensive and you will find a lot of choices even if sushi is not your favourite

• They provide you with some good vegetarian dishes and the best part is you do not have to pay much for this
• The food was very delicious and full of ingredients which are of good quality ( you can make that out from the food that you have been eating)
• My personal favorite is the Char kuey tewo and the Penang prawn mee
• The service is very quick with very attentive staff on board

• This restaurant is one of the most crowded ones that I have been and got to know the reason when I visited it recently

• Have mostly had takeways and those mentioned above are my regulars
• They once offered the best value Japanese food in town an incredible variety of delicious food from an extensive menu
• It was a small chain with a winning concept
• Last week we were devastated when we arrived to a half empty restaurant on a Friday night
• Just a double page with a limited choice
• Sushi and sashimi dishes were a thing of the past
