I have fortunately experienced it when it is relatively quiet
-
The duck with rice as well as the chicken in katsu curry are two dishes I would strongly recommend
-
The interior looks well decorated and is quite lavish
-
The one at Brunswick square is merely a minute's walk from Russell Square station
-
The service is very quick
-
The prices are reasonable and the taste is absolutely wonderful
-
I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who loves chinese food and in case you are not fond of chinese and japanese food
-
The reason i am not giving the restaurant a 5/5 is because they discontinued my favorite satay sauce
-
The Hare and Tortoise is perfect for what it is
-
I hadn't realised it was one of a chain until I threw it into Zomato's search function
-
The place follows a simple formula which is easy to roll out
-
Even if the staff are always on the go (the place gets very busy)
-
Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is really quite commendable
-
How they manage to serve such great japanese fusion at such a decent price is really impressive
-
I personally love that and seeing how they cook some of this Japanese/Chinese food is really impressive
-
Oh and unfortunately a negative about Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is the smell coming from its kitchen
-
The Hare and Tortoise features fusion cuisine with a lovely mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine
-
The rule about the Hare and Tortoise is that it is always full
-
Always full because the value for money is unparalleled
-
This also means that sometimes there is a queue literally winding out of the door into the cold and foodless outside world
-
My biggest gripe with this please shows how shamelessly cheap I am when you order tap water it comes in the tiniest glasses possible and on multiple occasions I have been served hot water
-
We still got a table and were served rapidly
-
Panko honey king prawns and deluxe sushi box (there were two of us sharing
-
I chose the chicken ramen and was presented with a huge bowl filled with chicken
-
I tried my friend's katsu curry which was succulent and savoury and was complete mended by the sweeter sticky rice
-
It's great for students who are in a pinch
-
I Fortunately had the chance to enjoy the restaurant during the non peak hours and I have to say that I was very Impressed with the quality of the food
-
I had the chance to try on the beef and rice and I have to admit that It was a truly satisfying experience
-
The only negative point that I would give is the lack of human presence from the waiting staff
-
Once again I can understand that they are very busy during that time of the day
-
Booking a reservation would be worth investing as Hare and Tortoise is typically full
-
It's hard to find nice affordable sushi restaurants where you can go and actually sit and have a happy sushi meal with friends or family
-
Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) serves Halal chicken BUT it's cross contaminated with the non halal meat such as PORK so not halal anymore
-
The area in which this restaurant is situated is not very high standards
-
The servers are so efficient that one does not have to wait long
-
The prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous
-
More than one food item are DROOL WORTHY
-
Even though Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is very far from the more popular places
-
The food is very delicious and perhaps the best Chinese available in the city
-
The green tea served is very hot and extremely comforting
-
It did not turn out to be a 'pub' experience with food on offer
-
We realised that the food here was affordable and the service was quick
-
The prices were reasonable and the portion was massive
-
This restaurant is a 3 3.5 for me as far as the food is concerned but the value alone
-
Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) although at peak hours has a queue that might last for twenty minutes but the availability of take out option is excellent for the ones in hurry
-
Though this isn't the best asian food ever but the decent quality and pricing may make it a good option to try
-
The food here is good and reasonably priced
-
As some of the seating was falling apart and looked worn out
-
Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) has become overrun with chains since the time I've lived here
-
Even though Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is packed during lunchtime
-
Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is good for it's price
-
One can get a significant meal with tea easily
-
The other food is also great
-
The food i ordered at Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) for my lunch was a bit bland and not that great
-
The expected from the first look was definitely bogged down
-
The three dishes i ordered were brought in a really short span but the accompaniment of chilli oil was a difficult request to make from three waiters
-
The pricing is also not quite reasonable
-
The food and service are always great
-
The menu is quite extensive and you will find a lot of choices even if sushi is not your favourite
-
The service is really efficient and the whole experience is value for money
-
Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is an all time favorite and i have been coming here from almost over ten years
-
The ambiance is okay but what good ambiance can do when the dishes served in your plate are just average
-
The service again was just okay and if everything at Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) is just okay then why any one is supposed to pay for being treated so normally
-
The service here is not good at all
-
Eventually were given a table
-
The food here is generally good and is marked at reasonable prices
-
They provide you with some good vegetarian dishes and the best part is you do not have to pay much for this
-
The food was very delicious and full of ingredients which are of good quality ( you can make that out from the food that you have been eating)
-
My personal favorite is the Char kuey tewo and the Penang prawn mee
-
The service is very quick with very attentive staff on board
-
The portions are big and very filling
-
This restaurant is one of the most crowded ones that I have been and got to know the reason when I visited it recently
-
The food was good and the prices were fairly reasonable
-
There are always large queues whether it is dinner or lunchtime
-
The menu is quite extensive and the prices of the drinks are also pretty modest
-
Turned out to have an Asian cafe layout with small tables and chairs with a nice
-
I decided to order my usual dragon rolls which were pretty average
-
The treatment was horrible and I shall never go back again
-
The food though was quite good
-
The salad though was good but I must say that I have had better tuna at other restaurants
-
They also serve some good drinks which are reasonably priced
-
The atmosphere was a bit cold and as I mentioned earlier
-
The service was inattentive the whole time
-
The food was excellent and was cooked to perfection with wonderful authentic flavours to it
-
Even though all dishes are not delicious
-
The service is not that good and the staff is slow
-
Ended up at Hare & Tortoise (Bloomsbury) with a couple of friends
-
The service was quite good and as for the staff
-
The ambience was quite relaxing and nice and overall it was a lovely experience
-
I was disappointed with the food and the service as well
-
The food was quite plain and I tried one of the dishes which were not that spicy
-
Even when it was mentioned on the menu
-
The ambience is just fine but the service is a disappointment as well because it is quite slow
-
They advertised that they are looking for a sushi chef but the sushi that they came up with was fresh and delicious
-
The noodles is nothing to write home about
-
The Curry Laksa is something that I have looked forward to after hours of starvation
-
Tortoise has to do with Japanese food
-
The chirashi don is decent good selection of fish
-
The Sushi's are good but but nothing special
-
The ramen soup noodles are the best in this restaurant
-
Halal chicken is available at hare &
-
Regardless the food was good for the price tag
-
It wasn't as spice as I was led to believe but still enjoyable nevertheless
-
Lo Han vegetarian chowmien is a must try along with the sushis
-
Have mostly had takeways and those mentioned above are my regulars
-
They once offered the best value Japanese food in town an incredible variety of delicious food from an extensive menu
-
It was a small chain with a winning concept
-
Last week we were devastated when we arrived to a half empty restaurant on a Friday night
-
Just a double page with a limited choice
-
Sushi and sashimi dishes were a thing of the past
