  • It combines Victorian Opium Den with a modern graphic edge

  • Located in the heart of Clapham is a Chinese themed eatery/bar situated under an exposed brick railway arch just off Clapham High Street

  • Alternative dining and social experience with some fusion cocktails

  • The venue features a long bar along the arch with raised seating areas to dine

  • The atmosphere is cool and dim

  • Fu Manchu's cocktails are inspired by the Sax Rohmer book titles like Mancho's Mind control and The Kiss of Death as well as your Asian fusions of Green Tea Ni and Mai Chai

  • Perfect if you are after a light

  • The evening was well and truly alive with guest DJ's playing live music all evening to get everyone up on their feet and dancing

  • Fu Manchu's opening hours are Mon Wed 5pm to 11pm

  • The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and all of the different options

  • A celebration that my degree is finally finished

  • S bar scene is new late night drinking and dim sum den Fu Manchu

  • Having an extensive dim sum menu available til late is definitely a bonus

  • London bars are incredibly poor at providing quality

  • Filling food with drinks hopefully others will follow Fu Manchu's example

  • Cucumber) and Blood of Fu Manchu (Eristoff Vodka infused with Chinese 5 Spice

  • Tomato Juice) but were left bemused by a Green Matcha powder based Green Tea Ni that shouldn't have made the cut

  • Pepper and Chilli Broccoli) was pretty excellent

  • The new late night cocktail bar and dim sum restaurant is going to fit right in to Clapham&rsquo

  • Incredibly well stocked bar the length of the left side as you walk in and the rest of the space is flanked around the edges by high tables and chairs

  • The lighting by Louisa Smurthwaite is neon then soft then gone and back again

  • Eek) on the exposed brick wall looking down at us all with a Machiavellian smirk almost encouraging bad behaviour and the bar staff are ferociously shaking and stirring

  • The dim sum is delicious (despite what Grace Dent says)

  • The cocktails are tasty (made from Asian spices and Chinese tea infusions) and potent

  • Fu Manchu is likely to be buzzing with fellas and gals looking to have a good time

  • Although it was pretty empty when we arrived it soon started to fill up with dim sum hungry diners

  • Drinks for the evening were the Lin Tang's Szechuan Sling for me a gorgeous cocktail that was Dr Fu Manchu's daughter's favourite tipple

  • Mango juice and soda water refreshing with a bit of a spicy kick

  • The boy started with the Lucky Buddha beer

  • Presented with a sugar timer to let you know when the brewing was done and it was ready to drink

  • Whilst in China Dim Sum was traditionally eaten early in the day alongside tea

  • The small bite size food is in essence the same and in Fu Manchu they continue to use the traditional steamer baskets to serve many of the dishes

  • The ones I usually go to are the real deal

  • Fu Manchu keeps them amazingly delicious and with the most incredible textures but with a slight hint of modern food

  • The baked sweet pumpkin puff and the best ever mushroom and ginger buns

  • T understand why we cannot use something which we were told a few times we can

  • We were sat at a long table and she was on the opposite side of where we were seated

  • As soon as you step inside the venue (which changes with each event)
