  • The Dim Sum in Dumplings' Legend is of high standards for a Chinese restaurant in Europe

  • What I think was Fried Vermicelli Noodles &

  • Dumplings' Legend is a great place to go for acceptable quality dim sum with a wide variety of dishes

  • The dim sum is possibly the best I have had outside of China

  • Upon entering the restaurant the first thing you notice is a dim sum station open for viewing to customers

  • Showing exactly what it is Dumpling's Legend (Chinatown) is good at

  • The menu is pretty elaborate and upon sitting down you are quickly attended to once you have placed your order the food comes quickly

  • With attendants taking away baskets with dumplings still in them which I then had to call after her to return

  • S exterior is painted in clean white paint

  • The entrance is spacious with the cashier counter to your left

  • Straight ahead are the stairs leading up to the floor above with more tables and a private room equipped with karaoke and a velvet cloth mahjong table

  • Siu long baos which is what they are known

  • You will spend time scuttling and moving dishes around the table making sure there is space for the variety of dishes was ordered

  • Only did I realised that the dim sums were mostly steamed

  • Words were used but with no significance

  • Told that a discretionary charge was at the discretion of the manager rather than the diner

  • I wondered if it was I that had behaved in a deplorable manner

  • Dishes which they are supposed to be well known for were not at all impressive

  • Shredded duck meat with the over powering ginger flavour

  • Cheung fun with pork liver

  • The filling is somewhat cloying

  • Slightly too long slices that you will inevitably smear and spalsh yourself with the sauce all over your mouth each time you have a mouthful

  • The rice noodles beneath that are stuck together when you try to mix them

  • The rest of their food is nice and tasty but their delicious gravy filled dumplings certainly do stand out

  • The service is so much friendlier than other restaurants in Chinatown

  • I was actually quite disappointed with Dumpling's Legend (Chinatown)

  • I though is was going to be really good as the name suggest but the dumplings themselves weren't even close to the best that I have ever had

  • They were filled with water when we got ours

  • I guess the only cool part about Dumpling's Legend (Chinatown) is that actually get to see the chefs make the dumplings within the restaurant

  • This restaurant is a good value for money

  • The place is a little bit crowed and the decoration a little bit poor but the variety of the menu is a very good point to note

  • I think that this restaurant is a nice place to have lunch or dinner if you are looking for something affordable and correct in Soho

  • Not that I'd mind though I would become my own worst enemy with the constant risk of eating myself being petty real

  • Seriously how could you not love a meal that requires such little effort to eat and is so delicious

  • Each delicately wrapped portion is a parcel of happiness with a variety of fillings which satisfy any diet

  • The one that reigns above all is the Xiao Long Bao

  • Xiao Long Bao is technically a type of steamed bun (bao) which is traditionally prepared in a small bamboo steaming basket (xiaolong) from which they gain their name

  • Xiao Long Bao are traditionally filled with pork

  • Just thinking about them make me famished and my go to place to get my fix is the aptly named Dumplings Legend

  • The garlic pak choi was solid though nothing special and the same can be said for the spicy pork belly and vegetables and the stir fried vermicelli &

  • The Xiao Long Bao themselves are worth making the visit

  • It's not a 5 star restaurant but is on the middle of china town so

  • The soup filled dumplings are quite special

  • Busy bustling restaurents with lots of options for vegetarian and kids friendly

  • Go surely for dim sum all kinds they are exceptionally good

  • Aubergines Sichuan is also worth eating

  • Dumpling legend is one of these restaurants that I often passed by but never tried

  • Their namesake dumpling was their selling point but even that was pretty average as the pastry was quite thick

  • They do have soup in the middle which was a mark of authenticity

  • Their service was unfortunately subpar and was quite pushy

  • This restaurant does not necessarily scream Chinese with its decor like a lot of other ones in the area do

  • We tried several of them (too hungry to take photos at that point) and they were all quite good

  • I would suggest getting a couple of the mains to share with your group as well

  • I do not think it is a place I will choose to go again myself but if friends want to go I am not going to mind terribly

  • Dumplings Legend is a Chinese restaurant in China Town serving a mixture of Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine

  • A steamed dumpling with pork and hot broth

  • The quality is extremely questionable

  • As the dumpling pastry is thick and rubbery which is totally opposite to what a good plate of Siu Loung Bao should be

  • Other dim sums are also very average as far as China Town standard goes

  • Shame about drinks waiter want to clear table got the bill I was being charged for drinks what a cheek

  • Services were bad and the waiter were kind of rude

  • Spent a nice enjoyable afternoon with some Aussie friends feasting like an Emperor

  • Besides wanting to catch up and get stuff with food the 4 off us particularly enjoy

  • Dumplings the restaurant had with a very renowned Michelin star restaurant Pied à

  • The xiai long bao ones are the result of the partnership and are worth your undivided attention

  • This rating is primarily driven by the poor service

  • We had just 2 dishes and they were out of this world we had the dumpling platter Which had a combination of prawns and pork dumplings very fresh

  • Otherwise the Cheungfun dim sum and Chinese broccoli with garlic was delicious
