  • Perhaps the best part is that it has something different to offer you depending on the hour at which you visit

  • I was here on Saturday night with friends as an inbetween stopover post drinks at home and the Queen of Hoxton

  • The setting and buzz was entirely different

  • The drunken monkey is a pretty cool place to go for food and drinks

  • The only difference here being that there is a restaurant as well on the side

  • A must go if you are in the shore ditch area on a Friday I think

  • Either way you are going to love it

  • Always hopping and buzzing with a crowd full of conversation

  • Drunken Monkey is a popular place to pop in after work for a light snack (or a big one) and chat with friends

  • I particularly enjoyed the sticky rice parcels with pork and chicken

  • The Drunken Monkey is right next to my flat

  • Would definitely recommend to everyone who is in the area

  • Drunken monkey is a place where you can have some nice noodles or dim sum

  • The atmosphere is buzzing and it's recommended to book a table in advance otherwise you have to wait a while

  • The good house music and great cocktails made the night and I definitely want to go back there for the vibe which is hard to get in different places

  • Yes The Drunken Monkey (Shoreditch) is as cool as it sounds

  • I'll usually just order a few dim sum dishes and then mix and match with my friends

  • The steamed dumplings are all very good and the pak choi is excellent

  • The Drunken Monkey is regularly ranked as one of the best eateries in Shoreditch

  • The food itself is pretty decent and reasonable

  • The duck salad as well as the dim sum ( for which the restaurant is famous) is very good

  • The ambience combined with some great dishes make the Drunken Monkey a great spot for some casual dinner

  • After visiting the Drunken Monkey with a buddy of mine

  • I did feel that there was not much space for the food on our table due to its size

  • Our party of 5 popped in after work on a Wednesday night to find the place filled to the brim with hip young things catching up on each other's work worries or weekend plans

  • One of our favourites was the broccoli&hellip

  • Other highlights for me were the steamed goods sui mai and king prawn dumplings are my favourite dim sum dishes

  • I was slightly disappointed with the roast duck hot pot

  • The duck lacked flavour and once deboned was scattered haphazardly across the rice

  • My favorite item on the menu is the prawn and chive dumplings

  • Good thing I made a reservation as the place was brimming with folks all set to bring on the weekend

  • Chive dumplings these were pretty bland tasting and we had to dunk them in the sweet chili sauce for some flavor to come through

  • We also called for the steamed bbq roast pork buns (which were quite nice)

  • A portion of the beef satay (this was really good and very flavorful)

  • The quantity of the plates is quite less and the prices aren't high either

  • So we went ahead and ordered more starters duck spring rolls which were quite nice with the dark dipping sauce that came with it

  • The squid was juicy and the batter around it was crispy very happy with this one

  • The service is quick if you are seated at a table from where its easy to wave your arm and get the staff's attention

  • Great venue with happy hour drinks 5 7 and good food at good

  • While the food is reasonable

  • I went for a dinner with my girlfriend last week

  • We decided to risk just turning up and (un)fortunately there was one available

  • The standard of these was actually reasonable

  • On ordering our second cocktail we were provided with a slightly more upbeat waitress

  • All the waitresses looked at her with no one coming over to help despite at least 3 of them seeing

  • With the manager not evening coming over to apologise with delivery of the bill then had the cheek to put service on top with no apology

  • The way they dealt with this situation demonstrates their clear ineptitude for service

  • The place was all out of dumplings and there are only a few vegetarian options

  • I was slightly disappointed with what they served

  • The portion size was great but the food was rather bland and for the price that we were paying it seemed rather disappointing

  • There was hardly a crowd and once we were done with dinner they quickly got us our cheque as they wanted to shut (this is even though it wasn't closing time exactly)

  • I have eaten authentic (almost) Chinese food and the different versions of Chinese food that is done back here in India but this didn't quite live up to the experience

  • The service has significantly deteriorated (most waiting staff don't even speak english and can't manage to provide service when the place is fairly empty)

  • Usually as a veggie I find that I often struggle to find a good menu for Chinese food with enough options but that was definitely not the case at Drunken Monkey

  • In my opinion are a great way for you to explore a little bit of all of the great options The Drunken Monkey (Shoreditch) has to offer

  • Also The Drunken Monkey (Shoreditch) has happy hour between 5 7 with cocktails priced at just £

  • Ideal place to catch up with friends in a group

  • Had a roasted duck noodle soup and it was quite enjoyable

  • The noodles were tasty and the broth was not too oily

  • The sim sums we had (the king prawn ones) were good as well but I think I have had better

  • Honey smoked chicken salad is a must try
