Culture Grub (Waterloo)

• I had schezwan style spicy chicken with fried rice base
• The servings are huge and service is good
• This was my first time trying chopsticks and I passed with flying colors☺
• I had a chicken and sweetcorn soup which was one of the best soups I had
• The staff is quite pleasant but the restaurant is really small and you may have to wait for a bit for a table
• I visited this restaurant last night with a friend on impulse as we fancied a bit of Chinese
• Having searched on the internet for Chinese' in SE1 we were directed to this restaurant which is located on The Cut
• The food was not overpriced and was pleasurable
• This is a small eatery that serves authentic Chinese but just like every cuisines here are different levels
• The dishes are served in plain plates and there is no decoration or any attention to presentation
• Well cooked tasty food that looks like it was cooked and plated by your mom
• I did enjoy my lunch though and I'd happily eat there again but when you visit keep in mind that you are going to a neighbourhood eatery not a high end restaurant
• I opened it up and there were literally (no exaggeration) TWO small pieces of tofu
• The rest of the box was packed with mushrooms
• Location is great with jusy 1 minute walk from Southwark tube station
• Food quality is above average
• I know that sometimes there is value to be had by grubbing around in the dirt in search of buried treasure but this seems to be taking things a bit too far
• An alien might be mistaken in thinking that there was a diamond hidden somewhere given the amount of furious action taking place
