Cote D'Azur Restaurant (Croydon)

• It was great they were able to fit us in as a walk in and the service was attentive but not overly so
• This soon turned to disbelief as I found a huge chunk of glass that was on my plate
• She then came back declaring it was rock salt and offered us the dessert menu
• We perused the dessert menu but I was still questioning what I had just found
• He went back to the kitchen and came back with a massive tub of rock salt
• Saying that what I had found in my mouth was neither the right size or colour to be rock salt he insisted that what I had found in my mouth dissolved under water when the chef ran it under the tap
• The issue I have is with the reaction of the staff
• I understand this is a small establishment who are probably running a low profit margin anyway
• In the same breath because they are a small restaurant it is in their best interests to keep their local customer base happy this was not our first time to Cot D'Azur and we were returning customers
• Whether it was rock salt or not in my food (My sore mouth is telling me it wasn't rock salt)
• The fact that the staff were so insistent that I could've been making it up is down right insulting
• The Cote D'Azur is the best restaurant by far in Croydon
• The style is sophisticated high quality dinning with linen table clothes and napkins
• Prices of dishes and drinks are very reasonable
