China Garden (Swiss Cottage)

• My experience with China Garden has been a bit puzzling though &ndash
• 3.80) which is basically 2 vegetarian and 3 non vegetarian starters including spring rolls
• The spare ribs were chewy &
• Quite liked it although it was rather delicately flavoured
• To know a restaurant is to eat there
• To really KNOW a restaurant is to strike up a relationship with its owner
• They know what they are doing and that's what counts
• China Garden is a great quality Chinese restaurant set along Finchley Road
• The venue is often decorated with white fairy lights
• I came here once for a birthday dinner with my parents and I wasn't disappointed
• The crispy shredded beef is also a favourite (pictured)
• The service is also very friendly and the manager is very attentive to her customers
• Making sure that you are happy with your experience
• China Garden (Swiss Cottage) is definitely better than your average Chinese restaurant
• I usually do the seafood or fish with steamed rice
• Their aromatic crispy duck is also very good
• From my account it is quite evident that I am fond of Chinese and I don't mind getting into any restaurant as long as it serves Chinese food
• Most Chinese restaurant have one down side and that is their service
• We were very excited to get started with prawn dumplings but as we uttered the word dumpling we were told in the most blunt manner to first confirm if we would like to order drinks
• We went ahead with jasmine tea to comply to their instructions
• The starters were good but nothing extraordinary
• The satay king prawn skewer was quite average as it did not have any flavors to it and tasted quite bland
• The dimsums although tasted quite good with chilli sauce
• We went ahead with chicken fried rice
• Plain fried noodles with bean sprouts and chicken in black bean sauce
• The egg fried rice and chicken fried rice were quite average
• The noodles was nice and different from the regular fare that I had tasted
• The chicken in black bean sauce was as expected and checked all the boxes for us
• The restaurant is adequately priced for the location and the ambience
• The service is quick but the staff could do with a bit of training on being courteous
• A restaurant worth trying if you are in the vicinity
