Brickwood Coffee & Bread (Clapham)

• Cakes and the like sit on the counter at the front of the shop there is no 'sneeze guard' and the products are pretty exposed
• The coffee is good and there is ample seating downstairs should the ground floor be full
• The flat white coffee is what to go
• Also available are the super cheesy cheese toasties and a popular favourite of banana bread warmed up with butter heaven
• I dont usually mention the service unless it is exceptional
• As i had dropped my coffee (huge bag) it was immediatley replaced with no added cost bonus
• Set of busy Clapham High Street with numerous bars and restaurants
• This australian coffeeshop is set in a chilled friendly environment
• Not a very good one obviously because everyone knows that Clapham is Aussie central
• S strike that from the record because now all is right with the world
• S a great area and the park is so sprawling
• Even better is that I found an amazing brunch/lunch/snack place
• The coffee was good (although not as good as the Black Lab a few doors down)
• The food we had is what I really liked
• A cornbread concoction with herbs and spinach
• Herby and lovely with the textures of cornbread I love so much
• Our coffees (cappuccinos) were lovely and velvety
• Those unacquainted with London life
• My Mum kept things simple subsidising chorizo for smoked salmon with smashed avocado and poached eggs on sourdough toast
• This classic brunch dish was fresh and tasty
• My brother was a little more adventurous opting for the breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs
• Served in a plastic basket with a small dish of sour cream it was a spicy and an absolutely delicious breakfast concoction
• She told me it was really good so of course I said yes
• Brickwood has a brilliant menu with plenty of unique dishes to choose from
• M told the banana bread served with expresso whipped butter is a must try but the sweet potato had defeated me this time around
• It would be a shame not to kick back and relax somewhere with a nice terrace
• Luckily Clapham is a great spot for that
• Great coffee and banana bread served with espresso infused butter all for great value
