  • The Book Club offers the best of both worlds

  • As it provides a number of tables where can people can seat and a ping pong area where matches are always ongoing

  • The basement dancefloor is surrounded by several tables that can be booked

  • Definitely a nice address where to go when you are unsure if you are in the mood for bar or club

  • Or if in a big group with different preferences

  • I've been here for drinks with friends on several occasions and it's always a good laugh

  • The Book Shop is a trendy space in Shoreditch

  • The Book Club is not all it is meant to be

  • The service was average at best and the staff unfriendly and overworked

  • One of the best place in town to have a nice Brunch lovers

  • The Book Club offer you are large range of delicious dishes for a fair price

  • The Homemade pancakes with strawberries

  • Maple syrup and crispy bacon is just AMAZING

  • I never went there for diner but I heard that there are great parties on the evenings

  • Drinks and dishes were very reasonable for a London bar and the staff all seemed to know what they were doing

  • The Book Club (Shoreditch) is spacious and very comfortable with big tables that can fit a big group of friends

  • You can also go there in the evening for parties as there is a big room downstairs that opens in the evening

  • The food is simple but satisfying and there are some classic home cooked traditional English food on offer

  • There are lots of up and coming DJ's that play here and the music is usually house or something with heavy beats

  • I went to The Book Club recently for a friends birthday and all I had heard previously was raving reviews

  • The Book Club is a favourite among my friends who have been encouraging me to go for over a year

  • 30 and it was already full of post 5pm city workers and we were lucky to find a spare seat in the corner

  • Saw several large sharing platters pass by to other tables with enticing looking nibbles

  • Especially with the various events held there

  • The wine list was simple but varied and I enjoyed a large

  • The thing that impressed me about the wine list was that most of the selection was not hugely varied in price so I could choose something I really like

  • The Book Club is well known hotspot in the artsy district of Shoreditch

  • In the evenings it's lit with sultry lighting to help set off the party atmosphere

  • In one corner of the room there's a weird bear like thing which even the deputy manager was at a bit of a loss about

  • You make your food order at the bar and then someone will bring it out to you along with a cup of cutlery and perhaps some extra dipping sauces

  • Everything on the menu is pretty much a safe bet

  • There isn't a particular cuisine but there are quite a few Mexican options

  • The nachos are smothered with tangy gooey sauce and everything on the meat platter is succulent

  • While downstairs is reserved for the hard party goers with blasting upbeat tracks (usually house or electro)

  • There was a long queue to get in but I can honestly say that the after party was almost as good if not BETTER than some of the big name acts we'd seen at the festival

  • The Book Club is a super trendy bar/restuarant/cafe/events centre/ping pong tournament club

  • The concept of the place is really cool

  • The fun names grabbed our attention and we were sold on the exciting and inventive ingredients they have concocted

  • Was made with homemade strawberry and balsamic syrup with hendricks gin

  • It was refreshing with a hint of sweetness a perfect afternoon pickme up

  • My friends were more adventurous one ordering the "

  • Wasn't sure about mint and bourbon but it was actually surprisingly good

  • We ordered a side of fries which were really delicious thick cut proper fries

  • The atmosphere is fun there's plenty to look at as well as some pretty trendy people around

  • The space is set out well with a variety of eclectic seating in from benches to small arm chairs and coffee tables

  • Only slight complaint would be that due to the wooden floors and brick walls it is very loud inside even with few people

  • One of thw best places to meet up with friends

  • The cocktail menu is not very big but they are definitely worth trying

  • The very small bar was not enough for the amount of people

  • Despite the awesome music there was not much place left to dance and it was too loud to socialise

  • The space itself is a cave of white painted brick walls bedecked with interesting art and punctuated with cool open windows peering into other rooms

  • The ceilings are high and exposed and the floors are a rich and beautiful cherry wood

  • Jam and authentic maple syrup (some of the best I've had in London)

  • The back bacon was crisp and salty

  • This is why it is one of my must visits in Shoreditch

  • The drinks are also really quite special

  • The club area downstairs is my favourite part of the joint

  • The incredible decorated ceiling combined with the fantastic music guarantees a really enjoyable experience

  • I've been here only once but I have to say I left with a good impression

  • We were a big group but lucky and unlucky in the same time the place was almost empty so we could grab a table and we had few drinks

  • The reason why it was so quiet is because we went there on a Sunday and the entire area is dead

  • When I decided to go there to celebrate my birthday because I absolutely like Shoreditch I didn't know Sunday is the only night when few places are even closed and not much is going on here

  • They only had few clients the atmosphere was so laid back and we didn't feel rushed even though it was late

  • Apparently they play blues in the downstairs bit starting from about 7 but it was 9 pm before I remembered we had wanted to see what that was like

  • The pesto paired well with the simple flavours of the creamy scrambled egg

  • The club nights are also pretty good

  • T know where I was going from here but it was promising not to be boring

  • Shoreditch is brimming with great food spots but I had not been to The Book Club in a while and I had never actually tried the breakfast menu so Leanne

  • Usually the earliest I would be seen at weekend brunch is 1pm but I discovered that our early 11.30 start has it perks and we got a table straight away instead of joining the usual queue

  • Any zest or zeal alluded to in the menu was overwhelmed by the alcohol potency

  • Could have done with a larger serving size

  • The Book Club is one of my favourite places in London to eat at

  • I only eat the vegetarian options here but what they have is all delicious

  • Stack 'em high and proud and with tasty ingredients

  • The avacado were so fresh and the tortillas was not too greasy

  • The Book Club is the embodiment of that same

  • You can expect to do it with ease and comfort in the sociable solitude of The Book Club

  • Deliciously flavoursome with the fresh fruits and generous portion of caramel sauce

  • The beauty about The Book Club (Shoreditch) is not only the food (that is delicious) but also the great cocktails and the fact that at night it turns the vibe to a club and you can enjoy some music
