  • I feel I share a lot in common with French culture (more so the north than the South)

  • Because the interior of Augustine kitchen is so unbelievably normal

  • I enjoyed a wonderful fillet steak with an exquisite gratin dauphineois

  • On the whole it feels cheaply decorated with some paneling round the bar which looks though it belongs on the floor instead

  • The menu is outstandingly priced with a set menu at lunch costing a mere £

  • My husband took me here yesterday and I am totally impressed with this great place

  • Great sitting and it was so nicely decorated

  • Mains I had roast cod and it was incredible

  • The weight gain is worth all of that alone

  • Another unexpected thing that happens is you end up finding yourself a &ldquo

  • Savoie (or Haute Savoie for clarification) is located in the Rhone Alps east of France

  • Especially those made with the roussette grape variety

  • Ve fallen in love with over my visits to Augustine Kitchen

  • The pristine white cod was perfectly cooked

  • The orange reduction however was what really turned this dish from a great one into a truly excellent one

  • A side of mash potato was also excellent

  • Tomme de Savoie is a cheese again from Franck&rsquo

  • S home town Savoie and is probably one of the more famous from this region

  • The cheese is made from raw

  • T the easiest but think Brie mixed with Mahon and you&rsquo

  • We paired the cheese with far too many glasses of Champagne but it would go with just about anything &ndash

  • Nearing the end of our perfect lunch we finished off with what turned out to be the best baked alaska you&rsquo

  • Full of raspberry ice cream and topped with a thick and luscious raspberry sauce

  • Then visited a further six months later and it was like eating in a completely different restaurant

  • S easily the best French restaurant in South West London

  • Great food and with the promise of some new interior additions and a freshly decorated exterior

  • One of the great things about being able to blog about what you love is that you get to meet like minded people

  • Who look at a Baked Alaska with exactly the same kind of need that I do

  • Great service and great food which were so reasonably priced

  • Selected on the premise that they serve great food and have enough wines to satisfy our thirst it was the turn of Gary aka The Foodaholic to select

  • His chosen establishment was Augustine Kitchen

  • A lot of champagne was drunk and the food was
