Archer Street Cocktail Lounge Bar (Soho)

• The bar does not require reservations but it is advisable on busy nights
• It looked as though a private event was taking place
• This was only after we were told to relieve ourselves of our coats and bags upstairs
• The downstairs venue was a lot cosier
• Small intimate booths and tables with colourful jewel like cushions
• The floor was a lovely dark hardwood and the bar was at the centre wall
• The rosemary syrup was truly unique
• Buzzing cocktail bar/club where all the waiters and waitresses are west end backing singers who spontaneously break into song in between normal music
• We went in the middle of the Christmas period so it was even busier
• We arrived at 8.30 and it was busy getting progressively busier til close
• Many of these spaces are crudely put together to sell some overpriced mulled wine or useless knick knacks to visitors
• S annual winter makeover is known for being inventive
