  • Had a great time the service was great and the food was amazing

  • It seems everywhere in Edinburgh is jumping on the burger bandwagon at the moment

  • As a sometimes vegetarian this was a welcome change for me as often there's only one (if any) vegetarian burger options on the menu

  • Tomato and gherkins between a glossy bun that was skewered together because it was too big to stand on its own)

  • The staff were really friendly and up for recommendations (which is needed to make a decision on the huge drinks menu)

  • The burger was one of the best I've had in Edinburgh

  • Its a beef pattie with a crumbed Mac &

  • Cheese pattie on top with Bacon and cheese

  • The burger was a conquest I happily took on and conquered

  • The beef patties was packed tight

  • Dare I say the nachos were the best part for me

  • Those that did get all juice were still ummy

  • I just plonked them on top of the crispy ones with the pork and salsa and chomped away

  • Only downside was on my visit i got the crappy seat between the two restaurant section

  • When we arrived the place was pretty empty

  • The beer menu is huge and they also have a blackboard with guest beers on it

  • The burger menu is pretty extensive

  • My mac and cheese fritter was delicious and the burger pate very tasty

  • Would have liked it a little on the pink side but it was still tasty

  • Overall it was a good burger but a tad on the pricey side

  • My favourite food in the whole world is the humble

  • With tongue in cheek names for burgers stuffed with anything and everything your groaning arteries might desire

  • S a nice touch that each burger also comes with a beer recommendation

  • S Royal Mile location caters for and there is an homage to local

  • Scottish brewers with offerings from Innis and Gunn

  • Some of the alternatives were summarised for me on a sample platter of various toppings and sides

  • T impressed by the very salty chicken wing and felt the seasoning of the beef chilli was nothing more than average

  • S fine cut carrot and cabbage smacked nicely of lemon and pepper but was far too wet

  • The highlight of the plate was a sweet and juicy pulled pork

  • A beef patty topped with cheese and bacon and joined by a deep fried macaroni cheese fritter

  • I wanted to see if such a thing was possible and if I would survive consuming it

  • Ve had in Edinburgh I thought the burger itself was overcooked

  • Inside however the cheese sauce was rich and the macaroni was soft and comforting

  • Uncoated dollop on top of the burger in place of the cheesy rubber that was stuck to the patty

  • My dining companions were more impressed by their burgers

  • Was topped with pulled pork which kept its beef patty moist

  • With Milano salami and provolone cheese was something you could actually fit in your mouth all at once

  • Other elements were also lacking

  • The sauces were simply awful

  • We were given a grain mustard that was reminiscent of a sour paint stripper and a very synthetic tasting chipotle mayo

  • The saving grace of the sides were the fantastic onion rings

  • Huge thick circles of crisply battered joy that were full of real flavour

  • Just Burgers and Beers will never want for custom with their Royal Mile location &ndash

  • Their fast food fare is far superior to some of the other options on the High Street

  • I've been to my fair share of burger restaurants and Burgers and Beers is up there with the best

  • It's very easy to find although I'd image with the small front it would be easy to just walk by don't be fooled by the size

  • The interior is very trendy and there's a really friendly atmosphere with friendly staff

  • Beef or for veggies and there is the option to build your own even the fussiest of eaters will have a hard time complaining

  • The Beer menu is even bigger than the food menu but unfortunately I did find that a lot of the beers that I would have went for (i

  • Fruit beers) were out of stock our waitress was really helpful in suggesting alternatives

  • I went for the Mac Attack with chicken and my friend went for The Anna Nicole Smith

  • The food was really tasty but I do think that it was a bit on the pricy side with the burgers averaging at £

  • 15 weekends which is really good value

  • Another stop in my efforts to try 'all the burgers' was looking for somewhere for dinner before heading to a gig so my friend and I decided to go here

  • Pretty simple but the hanging light bulb fixtures in the back half of the restaurant were really cool

  • It was really tasty though not the best burger I've ever eaten but well cooked

  • The service was good too which is always a plus

  • I had the Mac and cheese burger which was very decadent and I couldn't finish it

  • Would recommend getting the onion rings with your meal as they were really good

  • The service was good and very friendly

  • I knew straight away that it was Laura's kind of restaurant

  • The weather was horrible so as soon as we left the house we couldn't get a seat in the restaurant

  • I think that was just luck because it was pretty busy

  • When our food did come we were not disappointed

  • Went there on Friday with a group of six

  • They offer a good selection of sides but to be honest both burgers and sides are quite pricy

  • A nice ambience with nice service that was sometimes quite slow but because we weren't in a rush we weren't bothered too much

  • Cool trendy place with a view of St

  • Went with a group of 6 and we had lots of room and the restaurant is really cool

  • Only gripe is that the servers were a little slow and it took ages for us to just pay our bill

  • The service was quick and got a us a table no problem

  • Ordered the brinner burger which was a little bit dry but it was more to do with the bun rather than the filling

  • I did enjoy it but wasn't overly impressed but I'm putting that down to how busy it was and with the fringe madness approaching

  • My second visit was a lot better

  • Managed to get a table really quickly and the service was great even though there did seem to be a lot of big groups around

  • It was really enjoyable and though it was very filling

  • Probably the best burger I've even eaten

  • Amazing service and with a cool vibe

  • Good selection of beers with lots made in Scotland

  • I was very reluctant to leave a harsh review seeing as the restaurant was really busy when I went and so it might have just been a bad day for them

  • While the staff was lovely and I understood why service was very slow

  • My burger (The Mac Attack) was also quite disappointing

  • The beef patty was very dry and the mac and cheese fritter had no cheese and lacked seasoning

  • My dining partner did have a better experience with his burger

  • S tourist land on the Royal Mile and is priced accordingly

  • S so totally overpriced is always likely to be in the first sentence of description of the place

  • The staff here were exceedingly friendly and as I was dining alone they made me feel very comfortable

  • I ordered the Uncle Sam with Virginia sweet cured bacon

  • Not too small and with a good amount of filling inside

  • The meat was cooked really well and there was enough sauce to coat the whole thing

  • Haggis fritters My big recommendation here is to try these

  • Just eat it and then be honest with people as to whether you like haggis or not

  • Sam is a huge fan of burgers and beer so he was easily persuaded

  • The interior is modern and fun whilst still having a more dinner time feel than a lot of other burger places

  • The lighting isn't too bright the ambience is just right

  • The smell of the food is also very inviting

  • He really took time to find out what we liked and to see what the best beer would be for us

  • The burgers were great and the sides were delicious

  • I loved that my burger was created completely to my own taste and that the sweet potato chips were cooked just right

  • It's not the cheapest burger you'll ever have but I think it was reasonably priced

  • It didn't feel rushed at all and the staff seemed genuinely interested in our opinions and were extremely friendly

  • As it was a midweek lunchtime there were no beers for the group but there was most certainly BURGERS

  • There was a few of us and we were starving but still our eyes were bigger than our bellies as there was sooo much food

  • I opted for the Frying Scotsman Burger with a haggis fritter

  • The burger was stacked high and each individual element was cooked well

  • I thought the pepper sauce was a little on the thin side but tasted nice enough for dipping the very large portion of sweet potato fries into it

  • The large portion is genuinely a large portion

  • Rocky Balboa Burger with bacon and Dunsyre blue cheese

  • Johnny Cash Burger with chanterelle goats cheese and caramelised onions

  • Joe Pesci Burger with salami milano

  • Having said that you will leave with a full belly and a foodie satisfaction smile on your face

  • Was great and it was the best burger I've had in quite some time

  • Amazing burgers with pleasant ambience and great service

  • Everything is obviously fresh

  • My milkshake was excellent as well

  • Service and food was excellent on our first visit to this restaurant
